unbrick method - Milestone XT720 General

Hi!
I have bricked 2 XT720, and I can see that other people have problems with bootloops after installing custom ROM (without chance of fixing mobile)
So on some chinese forum, I found thread about fixing this:
(with google translate)
http://translate.googleusercontent....2.html&usg=ALkJrhjmMSrrk1GUnYsSAVG5AAushNTS7A
so does anyone have stock recovery.img?
and what are steps for backing recovery image?
thx

If you are able to enter bootloader, you should be able to flash stock (moto signed) sbfs
slided on-screen

does stock SBF's contains recovery as well?
when my phones was bricked, I couldn't get into recovery, but could enter bootloader mode.
flashing with stock SBF didn't solve my problem
EDIT: CG47 in SBF does contain recovery, so this "method" doesn't have sense

do you have installed the haykuro spl and his recovery-img when you brick ?
yes, everything was ok till i tested the HERO rom.
when i restored to my backup i noticed that the recovery console was gone,so i did try to reapply the recovery.img ,and when i re flashed haykuro spl the phone locked to the vodafone logo with no access to fastboot or recovery.
HO WELL i manage to get a new one.that was the only way.

so would the original wiki tutorial work for rooting?

unable to get over cdt.bin in 7/20

Having telecom NZ upgraded to 4.0.4 and try to upgrade to 4.1, I failed to update it, and now I couldn't flash back the ROM with message 7/20 in RSDLite, any idea?
same problem
I have same problem. I was on official ISC 4.0.4 in NZ upgraded over OTA a than I tried flasH JB, but flash it wasnt successful on cdt.bin step and now every time I turn on phone, it runs in fastboot mode flash failure (s) and I have to to do vol+ vol- and power and hit normal boot. Its really annoying. PLS HELP!
Insight appreciated
I have similar issues. The sequence of events to get to this state
Telecom XT phone bought with android 2.X
OTA update to 4.0.4
SCV7 Installed
Attempted flash to 4.1.2 leak
The upgrade failed, I tried flashing fxzs to return to a usable state, but this did not work (Via fastboot commands and RSD lite). The only functioning fxz I found was the AT&T version (I know cross flashing is bad but I was desperate, and figured it would fail too). I used this to re-implement a custom recovery and nandroid back to SCV7. The issues with flashing certain bits (cdt.bin and a few others) persist, as does the fastboot mode flash failure menu on boot.
I've attached my about page if it helps

I have the exact same problem except I missed the SCV7 step. At first I didn't think I could start it from fastboot, but I tried recover and it works.
I guess it isn't too bad having to start from flash fail menu, at least its still working.

Stock recovery.img for Moto G 4G (Peregrine)

Hi
I recently unlocked my bootloader and rooted my Moto G 4G and decided that I should do a nandroid backup so that my un-rooted stock OS would be backed up if ever wanted to restore my phone. I ran into one problem whilst flashing the recovery over fastboot, and that was after powering down the phone and then re-entering the bootloader menu, the TWRP recovery that I've literally just flashed disappears. I quickly found and solution on a forum and it simply said select 'recovery' from the bootloader menu (not doing a full power down) otherwise you'll lose the third-party recovery because some stock OS replace the recovery or something. With this in mind I had the intention that I could use my PC to temporarily flash TWRP, install my root .zip folder, reboot my phone and then the recovery would return back to the stock one. Wrong. I now have a permanent TWRP recovery and would like to put the stock one back on. I've looked all of this forum and I can't find the recovery.img file for the Android 5.1 OS anywhere.
Could someone please lend me a hand here please
Many thanks
Will
Look again. There are stock ROM images which of course include the stock recovery.

Stock recovery corrupted. Red triangle. Android broken

Hello guys. I think I have a very particular problem since Noone on the forum has mentioned/solved this problem before. Basically I have my old tablet replaced with b01 battery. It came with lollipop os 2.2.2 (I think) I rooted it like I did before with flammable y01 with twrp so no problem on that hand.
Now I'm selling it and I need to get it back to the stock os with stock recovery. But as is seems this turns into something impossible :
Every time I try to flash stock image the red triangle appears when I try to boot into recovery no matter what I do :tried to flash Via fastboot many times, tried different fastboot drivers (one from Nvidia, another one from Google) tried to mess with flashing sequence - staging - reboot - boot.img - recovery.img - reboot - system. Img, userdata.img - dtb - oem lock - reboot and still the red triangle with broken Android. Tried flashing it from 2 different notebooks, with clean win 7 and clean installation of Nvidia drivers. Still no luck, as soon as I finish flashing staging and booting into recovery with volume keys I always get the red triangle. However when I try to install a twrp it boots into recovery instantly. I even tried erasing all partitions before flashing :fastboot erase recovery, erase boot system ecc without result, tried even to flash staging, boot and recovery partitions from older os versions keeping the system and userdata from 2.2.2 and no luck.. Can please some one explain why the original recovery doesn't want to stick?? The cwm recovery like twrp work like charm whenever I try to flash them... So it's not up to hardware.. Please help me guys
Maybe have to relock the bootloader. Why can't you sell it with a custom recovery and rom?

Stock recovery doesn't really have a user interface like TWRP or CWM so I wouldn't worry about the red triangle. Is there any reason you can't sell it with the custom recovery?
You can easily lock and unlock the bootloader so what's the issue with trying that? And if you want it to be 100% retail stock, the bootloader would be locked.
You can also try to re download the stock restore files again and try again. I don't recall the stock recovery giving you any options anyways so that screen you're getting should be fine.

How do I restore a corrupted stock recovery image?

I was flashing a TWRP recovery image with fastboot, when my computer crashed. Now my stock recovery.img file is corrupted. I cannot enter recovery, and the stock recovery resets itself as the recovery if I install TWRP. Does anyone know how to restore / repair / replace / or reset it?
**UPDATE**
