I just bought my Note and as I was using the S Note for reading my chemistry ebooks and doodling on them, everytime I exit the app, it took so long before the ebook is saved. Sometimes, my Note won't even respond. Is there something wrong with it? Should I have it replaced?

One backup data and factory reset .
Then choice is return under warranty
Or join XDA Developers and flash the faster Jelly Bean .

Xda app keeps closing whenever you hit back while trying to navigate within forum or threads.
Anyone experience this on new Gal tab2 10.1?

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no good. Still closes when navigating within app. Sometimes force closes when tapping submit button.

No problems with Tapatalk...
For me... the xda app chews around 40-60% of processor capacity before it freezes out. Tried reinstalling but the problem persists.
Tapatalk seems to be working okay.

Could it be root? My 10.1 is rooted stock rom.

I think we are dealing with an ics issue here, I think the xda app devs fell asleep at the wheel and didn't do there ics homework! Maybe they don't know what ics stands for, it ain't "I crave salami".

I believe that the XDA App is just a custom Tapatalk App. However, it would receive updates outside of the main Tapatalk App, so it's possible that it hasn't received the updates and bug fixes that the main app has yet. Maybe one of the Mods/Admins can try and get the issue resolved.
Thanks for your input, imnuts . Hope I find a solution soon, running one free app, and two paid apps and still can't use any of them without it becoming a pain in the ass, and draining the juice out of the battery.

As someone else has mentioned, Tapatalk works perfectly -- which it does.
Try emailing them about the issue(s) you're having. The contact email from the Play Store is [email protected] I also saw that there was an XDA Premium HD app that is supposedly meant for tablets. Hopefully that isn't what is required as it doesn't look like there is a free version of the tablet app.
Tried running free xda app, also xda HD, still no good. I guess I can spend another 3.00 bucks and experiment for the dev dept. With tapatalk. And that's no guaranty that its going to work.

Chopper the Dog, Does that mean you are rooted at present ? Not sure if you can deodex without rooting.
(I don't think so)
Thanks for your input.

### issue resolved ###
Issue was caused by setting in "developer option" - "do not keep activities" this needs to be un checked , not sure what this setting is for, but it can be a pain if checked.

Guys,
I picked up my UK 32GB N8010 two days back and whilst using the default Internet app I noticed whenever I click on the Bookmarks Tag to the right of the screen it takes me to the Bookmarks page where no bookmarks are shown but more annoyingly it then freezes the browser.
Is this a common issue with the default browser?
Yes, I will be using another browser but it would be good to hear if there is an issue.
So many views yet not one reply.... Surely there must be one owner here who can provide me with an answer... pretty please :fingers-crossed:
Never had this problem. I have 4 samsung accounts in bookmarks but no freeze. Try to clear data for the app.

Thanks but tried that.....
Try and play with your sync settings for your Google account, I'm guessing is trying to sync your bookmarks and can't.

Good call but believe me that was one of the first things I did.
It's clearly corruption of some kind. I was hoping to get to the bottom of this purely out of curiosity but it looks like I may just bite the bullet and factory reset, it's going to be easier in the end I'm beginning to think.
If it doesn't bothers you to much just live it like that until the jb update and do the reset just before updating.

The Jelly Bean update is another argument which I and many others as (you know) are having with Samsung.
I have the N8010 and JB is not out... period.
Try and get an answer from Samsung is like turning water into wine... I have never met so many politicians as can be found in Samsung, you simply can not get a definitive answer.. more like an answer within another question.
As such I can't see JB coming to the N8010 before Christmas (samfirmwares don't have anything yet and I don't want to go the N8000 route), so I'll reset and see how things go thanks.
Hello, why is it when using the shape feature on S note it works fine... until I undo something then whenever I try to do a new shape it gets rid of the other shapes I've drawn and so on which is really annoying, is this something I'm doing or is it a bug?

I've noticed the same thing happening. I found that you can get around this if you will save the note you are working on immediately after completing the undo function. Then you can continue drawing new shapes without erasing the other shapes you want to keep.
So just a bug then? That's annoying..

I have the same problem as well, and the most annoying thing is that the previous ICS version of SNote worked like a charm!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081866
I started a thread about it a couple of weeks ago, we haven't come up with a solution yet however I hope that it's not too far away. Please contact Samsung, the more of us that do this the more likely they are to realize there is a big problem with SNote and make an update (or in this case maybe a downgrade). I've made a video that illustrates my problems and posted it in the thread mentioned, feel free to use it in contact with Samsung.

Very annoying I will definitely be getting in contact with them! Do you also have a bug with the music play, it wont go to the next song it will just stop and you have to start it manually again, also when I have it playing through my Xbox it will stop and the tablet and Xbox will display different songs?

Actually I haven't used the tablet for music yet and I'm not sure I will. However what you describe sounds more like you have some setting wrong, try press the button at the right hand side of the play/next track etc (it might say something with A). Or simply get a better music app I would love to do so with SNote, but there really is no good option with the math and shape functionality. LectureNotes is so much better in so many ways, but having the ability to use Snote for some task sure would be great sometimes!

No its not that I've got it to repeat the playlist if it ends, I love the music app (well when it works) it was perfect before the update, hopefully Samsung get on making a bug fix update for all the little problems! I've not tried lecture notes, I will try it out

I have had the same problem with snote I will use you video and send to Samsung I have already send them a msg but with you video I hope this will be fixed soon.
I use snote for collage and the fact the drawing cant be used is a big problem.
The music and video app I have no problem with n both advance to the next track.

I'm glad to hear that!
Have you tried LectureNotes? I was a little skeptical when I first tried it, I was just comparing it with SNote and that functionality. But actually, after using it for quite a while and testing and configurating the app I prefer it so much over SNote for lecture notes. LectureNotes is best for taking lecture notes, who would have guessed that? Sure it's lacking those cool shape features the SNote has but actually I think the simple MS Paint style that LectureNotes is using is much more accurate when actually using it and not just testing it. And just such a simple feature that you take for granted, to move the text and stuff after inserting them is something LectureNotes has and SNote simply doesn't.
But the really great thing is that you don't really have to choose between them. You can use LectureNotes for everything but the shape and math stuff (when it gets to writing equations, SNote is in a class of its own) where you use SNote and then Lasso around the item with pen button down after which you press the LectureNotes icon. The screenshot (or whatever it is) is then transfered straight to the desired page in LectureNotes!
Hope this helped some people that think that the new SNote stinks and are looking for alternative until Samsung got this sorted out

Hi I have been using s note on my galaxy 10.1 note, at work now for a couple of months with no issues. I was in a work course yesterday, was at 10 pages...2 pages had pics on them, and the s-note would not save...kept coming up "failure to save"....has anyone else experienced this? Is there a limit to the number of pages or could it have been the pics in the notes making the file too big? Any ideas would be appreciated....
Thanks

Same story,
sometimes my note fails to save, and after I close the s-note app, that file gets corrupted, and I can't open it anymore. Usually I get this issue when I go over 40 pages. Very frustrating, but don't know how to fix it, is should be on Samsung.
