[Q] warranty - HTC Sensation

Hello i want to send back my phone to warranty just want help checking everything is alright and ask a few questions
my phone says
xxxlockedxxxx
pyramid pvt ship s-on rl
HBOOT 1.29
eMMC-boot
and i had to change my cid as i used super cid when flashing and ruu.I changed it to htc__003 which i recieved a software update but found that was the wrong one
so then i changed it to HTC__001.Is that the write code for the united kingdom unbranded htc sensation Xe
.It is now currently running android 4.0.3
How can i check that i removed root access ?
And what does rl stand for next to s-on i hope it dosnt stand for relocked
How can i check i used the right cid?
Thank you for your time it is most appreciated

you are fine
now for your questions:
1)use the root checker app
2)RL it is not relocked
mines says the same after S-ON
3)see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195475

The cid for world wide English unbranded is HTC__001.
I've no idea what the RL means but all phones have it. It's nothing to worry about. If you have s-on and locked, you're fine.
If you ran an RUU then that will have erased root. You can check by installing terminal emulator and typing "su" then enter. It should fail if you are unrooted.

I typed Su in caps lock and it said error
and what would be the cid for united kingdom or would I be able to get away with the one I currently have
I bought the phone from t mobile but it carries no branding from them
thanks for replying about my s-on Rl query it has put my mind at ease

Android is case-sensitive, 'su' should be written is lowercase.

i haven't seen before such an update to 3.39
my device is european unbranded too
and i know the update comes to 3.33
about cid: different devices comes with different firmwares so different cid

I accidently used an diffrent contitnent cid and I was prompted to update I did then changed my cid do you think this will make much of a diffrece If I claim warranty

[Q] Could I send in my Sensation with changed CID?

Heyy Guys,
I bought a Telekom GER branded HTC Sensation on the Internet but because I wanted an unbranded device I followed the guide to S-Off, set the Carrier ID to HTC__102, to have an "originally" unbranded device, installed the [RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.35.401.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198179_signed.exe] and changed back to S-On. But because I didn't find a branded Stock ROM, I would like to know if I could send it to HTC without losing my warranty. It would be great if someone could tell me if HTC has a tool to find out.
Sorry for any mistakes, I'm new

I'd go through the CID steps again and put the original numerals back if it were mine...
No I really don't have a problem with my fantastic Sensation, but I was just wondering if they would recognize it.

[Q] if i change my CID from Voda AU to Voda UK will I get ICS

Hi,
I have the Vodafone Australia HTC Sensation with CID Vodap021. I was wondering if I change my cid from that to vodap01 without s-offing first, will I get the official vodafone UK update? I don't think firmware wise they are very different....
Thanks

No. The CID has nothing to do with that. And you can't change it anyway when you're S-OFF.

[Q] Back to Stock for T-Mobile Germany

Hi All,
I need to reset my Sensation back to current T-Mobile Germany stock for repairing.
I have started with the old Gingerbread version, did S-OFF (Revolutionary) but no SuperCID there.
Now I am on Universal Firmware 3.33 and AHRD 6.72.
Can anyone provide me with a proper RUU that I can flash?
T-Mobile Germany has released Firmware 3.33.111.51 recently OTA so I hope there is a valid RUU also available somewhere?
Are there any alternatives that I can go?
Cheers,
TheDemon

Hi,
yes correct. But this does not help much. The only Image for T-Mobile Germany is TMO_DE 145.111 which should be the latest Gingerbread release if I remember correctly. So this is no ICS and I am not sure if I can downgrade from Firmware 3.33 to this old version.
Or am I wrong?

Hi,
thanks for your help but I already know these links. Problem is that I need a Stock Rom for T-Mobile Germany. I assume they will not accept the device without the official T-Mobile Germany Stock Rom. There have been some OTA's published for other providers but not for T-Mobile Germany.

Because of that you must do nandroid backup of your rom before flashing search on web try to find that rom.
Hi,
an update on this one:
With the HBOOT version stated above I was able to go back to the current stock version as follows:
Using RUU_Pyramid_TMO_DE_1.45.111.2_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_209845_signed.exe from here
http://www.filefactory.com/f/c87a2330449af512/ it was possible to downgrade to Firmware 1.45 and Gingerbread without any problems. After switching S-ON I was able to install all OTA updates from German Telekom and ended up in the latest Telekom Software version.
@ Phencyclidine: Thanks for your help!
Cheers,

That will only reveal your current cid.
The cid you are after is HTC__001 I think. That's unbranded world wide English I think.
