[Q] Usb debugging mode always ON - HTC One S

Hello,
I've just installed the official 2.35 jelly bean ROM for our htc one S and I noticed a bug quiet annoying : whenever I connect my phone via USB, Usb debugging mode is always ON. I tried to turn it off, but everytime I connect my phone, it goes ON again...
Someone know how to solve this problem?

Not really an answer to your question but it made me curious.
Why is it a problem adb debugging is on? I got debugging turned on on all my devices

There should be a toggle for "USB debugging notify" it will turn off the notification at least. There should also be a toggle for "developer options" you should be able to turn off, that should kill debugging mode.

wth is wrong with my phone adb wont work

ok i am going ballistic
wth is the deal, i cant get adb working for nothing.
it was working, then i flashed 2.2 and had to many FC's so went back to 2.1 update 1
and now i cant get adb to work for nothing.
what is the correct procedure here to connect with the phone.
usb debugging is typically on, but people say "choose usb storage" as the usb mode, well when doing that usb debug is disabled.
so i imagine that is why.
so what the hell is going on? i am so confused and about ready to smash the phone.

As far as I know you don't mount the SD card at all when using ADB, so just enable USB debugging (i've noticed once you do this the usb setting seems to default to Kies, and if you try to change that it will disable the debug, so just select the debug and leave the usb setting alone) plug the phone in an when it asks you to mount the sd card, don't do it. Then, in theory, you should be able to use ADB. Sorry if you've already tried this....

[Q] can't connect to usb debugging

hi, i'm having problem with USB debugging.
i just update manually from 2.3.2 CM7 RC1 to 2.3.3 with the link.
now i'm having some trouble, one of them is i can't seems to connect my nexus s to USB-debugging mode. I already check the "USB-debugging", usually i see "USB-debugging is connected" under notification area, but now i don't see it at all.
other problem is my home button is also screw up and my lockscreen is gone (maybe because i'm messing with it in CM7), so i need to get my root back on but i can't seems to root it back without USB-debugging..
Any help is appreciated, thx..

[Q] USB debugging won't work in Linux or Windows

Have the usb drivers in windows and it was working. Now it won't turn USB debugging on. I tried on Linux Ubuntu also but no luck. Any idea? I am on custom recovery with stock rom if that helps.
edit: so it appears that that the debugging does work when using adb. adb devices recognizes my s3. But nothing noted in the notification bar when attached via usb, only connected as media device. When I switch to CM10 from stock, the debugging notification appears. Is this a samsung thing? Any thought would be appreciated.
Bump - Had this same issue. Wasted about 2 hours last night trying to figure out how to get USB debugging to turn on so I could start the root/unlock process. Turns out, debugging was on, but the phone never notified me. I'm on a new rom now and it does correctly notify me with debugging on.

[CM12] Nexus 5 is not detected via USB when plugged

I have a strange issue, when i connect my phone over USB the computer does not recognize my phone, there are no options in the notifications, when i enable usb debugging the phone just reboots. When I enter TWRP and enable MTP there everything works fine. I have CM12 installed since the first nightly and dont know currently when the problem occured but I always flash the latest nightly available. I would like to prevent a factory reset to fix things.
Deactivate USB debugging, connect your phone to your PC and go to Settings -> Storage. In the upper right corner you can choose the connection. Look if MTP is enabled there Hope this helps
the problem is, everything regarding usb storage is greyed out and android debugging is enabeld as soon as i disable it i get a soft reboot and when i reenter developer settings its enabled again
Ah, don't know it then. Factory reset would solve it pretty sure. But since you said you don't want to wait a few more hours.. maybe someone knows a better solution.
Oh hey, 1000th post by the way
congratulations I think i'll just factory reset, does anyone know how i can backup multi-user accounts with their settings?
