At present the game supports the following resolution skins:
480x320
800x480
1280x720 (and a variant for those OS's showing a permanent menu bar)
So what is happening is correct - ie. its using the largest available skin for the game on your device.
PS - In the forthcoming update in January I'm hoping to include a 'stretch' option which will allow full-screen support on any device - however it might have a slight performance cost to it due to the additional processing involved.

800x480 games

Anyone know of any games that natively support 800x480 ?
Have been searching but only found VGA native games at the moment - I also wonder whather a vga game will work on a 800x480 screen.
Being ahead of the market is a pain ....
just found this link for games that are compatible:

however, I am more interested in actually created for pure 800x480

Change resolution of android games

Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to optimize the resolution of android games?
I have a galaxy tab android S2 and some games have too low a resolution. It's like 400x300 on a 2K device.
Thx
I believe the reason of that is because this particular games are not optimized for your device. I doubt you can do anything about it.
is there a way to "simulate" another device ?
What I was about to say was that it's not the matter of the device model but it's the matter of the screen size and density. The system performs scaling and resizing of the application to make it work on different screens. However, scaling can result in blurry or pixelated graphics. To avoid this problem, the developer of the app should provide alternative resources (bitmap images, etc.) for different densities (i.e. optimize the application for different screen sizes and densities). If this wasn't done, the application is simply stretched to fit the screen that results in poor graphics quality.
And if i root the tablet to use an app that changes the DPI and resolution of the device.
Do you think the game will also change the resolution to improve it?
I don't know if this will work. Maybe someone else knows.

Avegant Glyph 3D usage

Hi,
As the users of this device know, Avegant supplied frame packed 3D for this device. I'm trying to use this option effectively in Windows but I have some problems.
I have a GTX 1080 Ti graphics card and a Dell 27" monitor attached via display port.
I'm using HDMI port to connect to Glyph.
I watched HSBS content with this device successfully before the update. But the quality was not very good ( because of SBS resolution is cut in half )..
For example with 1280x720 HSBS, there is 640x720 image per eye and the resulting image is not very good.. Even if the original video is 1920x1080 HSBS, because display resolution is 1280x720, it's first downscaled to 1280x720 and displayed same as the 1280x720 HSBS.
So, now I'm trying to use Stereoscopic Player to display HSBS video as frame packed with no success.. As you may guess, with frame packed it's possible to play 1920x1080 HSBS as 1280x720, upscaled from 960x1080 ( yeah there's a small ratio problem but I could fix it ).
First of all I'm using Nvidia 3d play as output, and set it to display on glyph when played full screen when stereo option is enabled.
I ran the setup wizard on Nvidia control panel and enabled 3D successfully. Something occurred though... Before when I set the desktop resolution to 1280x720 with 3D enabled, Windows displayed flipping menu items in 3D, now it's not. I also ran Trine game from Steam, and the Stereoscopic settings are disabled there also. I could also see that the image is not in 3D. So it actually works while setting up, but after that there are no effects in anywhere. It doesn't kick in.
What could be wrong and how could I fix this?

📲 Resolution Checker [v0.1]

Hello,
Resolution Checker is one of the many apps aBetterAndroid will release for Android.
What is Resolution Checker? Simple to use and very intuitive, it will show you the resolution of the display but that's not all! There will be 3 types of resolutions:
Bars Resolution - the resolution of the navigation + status bars (vertical pixels)
Resolution - the resolution of your display minus the bars resolution
Real Resolution - the resolution you see in your device's specifications
You should use this application if you want to check that your screen is not a fake one and has the correct resolution/ you're a developer/ you're just curious.
Thank you.
