Motorola aptX Bluetooth Codec - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was researching bluetooth receivers for my home stereo and came across ones touting aptX audio codec for hi-fidelity sound over bluetooth. I then wondered if my RMHD was capable of it. I did not see it listed in the specs, but I went to csr's website and it is listed as having aptx codec. http://www.csr.com/technology-solutions/av/audio-products-powered-by-csr-aptx/smartphone
I have been avoiding bluetooth audio because of the loss of audio quality. Does anyone have experience with aptX? Is it as good as hardwired as it claims to be?

I stream Pandora via Bluetooth.. sounds fine
And no messy wires

Bluetooth audio quality

Whats the audio quality like using bluetooth on the Infuse? I only use high quality music files, mostly FLAC via a AUX cable in my vehicle currently.
lol i thought i was the only one using FLAC still these days but Bluetooth quality sucks on a lot of headphones since it made Wireless not for Quality so since you have FLAC i would go with Wired Headphones that have a mic on it

Stereo bluetooth for music & occasional calls

I don't want to spend more than $50 (Rs. 2500). I came accross Sony MW600 and Samsung HS3000. Desire S doesn't have APT-X codec (HS3000's main strengths). Even if I upgrade to another phone, I will soon root and use custom rom which will remove that advantage since APT-X is proprietary. How both these devices compare with Desire S ? I am planning to use my own headphone instead of stock headphone. Or is there any other better suited ?
I'm currently using (listening to music) my Nokia Stereo Bluetooth Headset BH-503. I also use it for calls too. No problems here. my other one is a Nokia Stereo Bluetooth Headset BH-505 lying on the table and that one works perfectly as well.

I also came across SAMSUNG HM3700 & Samsung WEP870. They can be used as a standard bluetooth headset over the ear or could just plugin headsets to listen to music. Which of these are better ? Or is there anything similar and better out there ?
Im using mw600. It works good but doesnt show trackID ON STOCK rom & cant fast forwoard.

Using Nokia BH504 bluetooth headset and very happy with it. Mostly listening to music while running or in the gym. Very good build quality, and although i tend to sweat a lot while running, everything is working. Using it for almost two years now.

apt-x bluetooth audio?

Can anyone say whether the Pixel supports apt-x audio over bluetooth?
From what I have read it does not but, using my Sony SBH80 earphones, the audio doesn't sound any worse than it does on my Galaxy S7 Edge which does support it.
However, I've not tried listening to flac encoded tracks, I suppose I ought to for a proper test.
Did you ever find out the answer to this? I just got a new car (Nissan Rogue), and the bluetooth interface with my GS7e is horrible because the the GS7e doesn't have AptX.
I haven't found the definitive answer, no, but re your S7Edge, I am pretty sure it does support apt-x. Mine sounded excellent through bluetooth headphones that support apt-x.
I keep meaning to do some listening tests of wired versus BT on the Pixel.

What is the sound quality when using Bluetooth headset?

I found some noises when I use Bluetooth headset with aptx feature, when I use Bluetooth headset without aptx the sound quality is better, anyone face this problem?

I originally wrote this which is wrong
I am fairly sure the AZf3U doesn't have AptX... I've not found single Snapdragon 650 or 652 with it
even though Qualcomm own AptX/Aptx-HD now.

Since then I did some research, and found I was wrong. So I came here to correct my post, and noticed that @tamerh had thankfully pointed out the error before other people were misled.
So I found that there are products with the Snapdragon 652 which do have AptX, and not only that, the Asus Zenpad 3 8", has an SD650 and AptX.

It occurs to me that there may be apps on that tablet, as well as patches and updates, which can be applied onto the Zf3U, and vice versa, as there's likely to be a fair in common between the devices.
Asus zenfone 3 ultra has aptx, the aptx notification appears when I connect a Bluetooth headset with aptx, and asus zenfone 3 ultra comes with snapdragon 652

AAC Bluetooth Audio Problem

Hi! Sorry for my english.
L29-c432-b366
I have several Bluetooth headsets. Last time i bought a Beats Studio 3 Wireless wich supports only SBC and AAC.
With my Sony headphone i can switch to SBC, Aptx, Aptx HD and LDAC, all working good! The AAC no!!! The sound quality with SBC is very poor. I can see with other phones running Oreo, this Beats headphone working well with AAC codec.
Any solution? BL unlock, root? Or I must to buy an iphone to this headphone?
Thanks.
