This should go to the general xda Q&A forums and not device specific. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=456
There is already a thread there - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062947
And I don't get that.
It must be in someone's signature... usually it's harmless when I've seen it on other sites though.

I was going to post this also but I saw yours and I'm glad you posted it before me otherwise I'd have gotten the lecture about where this "should have been posted"

No one is lecturing anyone and if you feel that was lecturing, then follow rules.

Huh, I haven't received this once with chrome (windows, mac), monkey (linux), or Firefox (linux, mac, windows). What a weird screenshot. And yes, I mean all three operating systems. I'm not saying that you didn't get it, I just think it is weird because I never have, no matter which forum section or thread I am browsing. Mac of York is probably correct in saying it is someones signature.

without the context. If my Mum asked me that question I wouldn't FacePalm her as she was a teacher and has zero interest in technology, whereas if my Dad asked I'd slap him because he's an engineer.
All depends on the context - not everybody knows (or cares) about everything.

Given the stupid questions we are getting flooded with at the moment by all the noobs, nothing would surprise me.

Noobs are good. That just means interest and the community is growing. One day those noobs might develop some amazing ROMs and apps.

To be fair, a lot of XDA may or may not be devs themselves. A lot of users just know that following the smart guys instructions in the pinned topic makes their device work better. Never be surprised by how astoundingly dumb people can be

Needs some spelling fixes though.
It appears apple is eventually losing out on the cellphone market to Samsung and HTC. Come on the legal battles are too much.
User interface and style has been copied. For example camera menu of G3 looks like iOS.
part copy.. part innovation.. helps to keep the renovation!!!
Personally, I dont mind copying others work, (ofcourse with their permission or at the place where they will never come to know :angel.
This keeps me going, as well as solve the intial problem ( a wise man learns from the mistakes of others).
Hence, both apple as well as samsung seems to be right at their own place.
LMAO !
LE sigh.
Wrong place, closed

I guess that you are sh1t out of luck then. If you have visited the TapaTalk site then you would know it is only a mobile phone app for iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry - with a notification-only service also available for the Chrome browser.
Seriously - WTF do you expect XDA to do? Rewrite the entire TapaTalk code just so you can run it on a PC? That's what your web browser is for
Thanks.:fingers-crossed:
I have to developing a plugin "multi-channel-extension" for forum.
The idea is : the user write some comment or question to the forum , then the forum will pass it to the company's software ,
then it will be processed by the software , finally the software will return an answer to the forum which will appear at the user side.
I thought this program can help me. But if this app is only for mobile phone, I guess I can't use Tapatalk-API
TEST

OP - have you heard about reporting a thread?
That's what I'm gonna do now.

Still, probably some ad, signature embedded HTML or download link.
Google Ads sometimes trigger malware warnings. In that case, XDA is not infected, but the ad is. Clicking on it will make us a victim.
the culprit is some content from www.codenameandroid.com

one more chuck noris
anyway how to get rid of it
i want to use the link
As i said, Google Ads will display ads of the content in which the ad is shown. In our case its Android. So Google will show all ads with keywords "android". Somehow it slipped in. I know these problems well, my father hosts a website which has google ads, it sometimes pops out malware warnings.

how do I know when someone replies to MY POST? because it gets hard to keep track... if I leave for a day, come back and see some 10 posts after my post, I'll have to go through them searching if someone wants to talk(i.e someone quoted me)

in your profile, the last tab i.e 'Quotes'
it contains yours and others posts which are quoted

From what I know, when someone hits the Reply button to your post, the only action that takes place is that your post is included in their reply as a quote. That's it. It does not notify you about it, since there's no code for that.
Use xda premium app..it updates u everytime u get a reply..just subscribe to the topic and set notification interval

In the upper right corner you have notifications. When you click on them, there is a "post quotes" option. There you can see it.
