no not really.. to be honest I don't need really no what it is
Read the stickies by Vincom. It's all there

If you want to unroot you'll need to learn about it. Read the stickies in the development section. They'll tell you how to unroot.
Google Odin v1.85 and download it. Then go to sammobile.com and down load the stock rom. When you got that far and after you've read the stickies will go from there.

Use root checker to confirm?
You can also see if super user app is there in your applications...
ofcourse you can check that by downloading root checker app from play store.

Just reflash.
Like lumin says reflash. Use the second link in his signature.
However what rom are/were you on?If it is not a stock based rom dont use the reset feature within the phone use the one in recovery.
Thanks lumin you continue to be a trusted advisor. I flashed
a stock gingerbread from lumin last week.

Perfect is a hard statement to make. Any of the ICS flavors are pretty stable there are bugs but even stock roms have bugs. I think barebones by antonx is a good one and VB by FB is too.
Is it add simple as installing stock GB was using heimdall? I've read good things about VB would you possibly post a link? Most I click on are dead/inoperable...

Had that problem before u just reflash the ROM. As long as u can still go to cwm recovery

Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Run Gremlin Remover and go from there. You will have root and CWM to flash the ROM you want.

I'm not sure that I understand the cwm. Click work mod? I put that on my CPU and tether it with the market app? Sorry this is still very new to me...

I am having great difficulties with my samsung gs2 skyrocket. It freezes, lags terribly, and shuts off on occasion and force closes quite a bit. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to alleviate these problems? Is it just a skyrocket issue. Please help before I throw it up against a wall.
You have to tell us a little more about what's going on. It's not a typical sr issue. Are you on a custom Rom? Are you rooted? More info would be helpful.

Ok! I have no idea what kind of rom I'm using. All of this is new to me. I have been using the phone from the factory. I have done nothing to it except for a total reset once. I don't have a lot of apps and there is no damage.
Then you are probably running stock. Have you done any of the ota updates? In settings, about phone, what android version does it say you have?
You're probably going to want to do a clean install of your os, but that's a big process.

You probably have years of crap and apps that is causing the problem. Doing a clean install is a big process but will probably solve your problem. But you'll lose just about everything on your phone. You'll have to decide if it's worth it and also what info you can't lose and how to back it up.

Read vincom's sticky in the development forum on how to return to stock. I'd suggest you do that using kies. It'll up date your firmware to 4.1.2, jellybean. You'll need to do a factory reset after you install which will clean out all your garbage.

Thank you so much for your time and effort.
I would read vincoms sticky thread. Then I would back up anything you don't want to lose. Next, I would download the 4.1.2 tar and use Odin to flash it. Factory reset and you're done

There is one method in the android development section it has been there for months and it's the first post. There are to others that have been updated since it was posted last year also in the android development section. Lastly all the methods work you just have to CAREFULLY follow directions.
Yes its hard yo find all the tight files I have Odin 307 I think do you know if that will work with the files?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Yes it will work.
Is it beanstwon method that you are referring to?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Yes it doesn't require Odin. It is just a one click method.
Oh OK I read a lot of the comments and they are positive feedback but as I watched on this guy on YouTube his comment section are loaded with this "messed up my phone" or "don't do this this doesn't work" very little comments that said this worked for me. If this doesn't work on the first try I understand using another USB port on the computer is an option and using a different cord other than the one Samsung gives you is also an option. Is there anything to know about before doing this? This phone s my daily driver and I really don't want to have to use a prepaid phone.
And Should I also download the stock ROM not rooted before doing in case it does like some kind of soft brick?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Well I have never tried the one click method as I use Odin to root my phone. So get the stock roms as backup in case you run into problems with casual.
OK thank you so much for the advice and I'll shall let you know what happens.

If you hard brick your phone you send it to jtag and pay them to get it fixed because nothing else works.
If you are feeling squeamish about the whole thing then it is probably a better idea not to do it.

Just thought you might like to know that I just used CASUAL this morning to root my galaxy s3 on Verizon build VRBMF1 with no problem. CASUAL unlocks the bootloader and installs TWRP which I like so far. Just make sure you grab the right download and if it doesn't work the first time try again with a different mirror. There's a version of it floating around out there that for some reason wouldn't work with my drivers.
Hope this helps ease your mind a little. Oh btw I probably read 1000 posts about rooting and the best method and someone claims to have bricked their with every single one of them. It's a risk we take.
