Remove home screens using TW launcher - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, I'm feeling like a complete noob. I'm using the Sugsonic ROM on my 7'' Gtab, which is based on stock JB. How do I decrease the number of home screens? I know how to add them but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove them. I asked over in the ROM thread but got no answer. I know it has to be something simple that I'm just missing.

Did you try pinching your current home screen? Stock tw-ics shows all screens zoomed out when you pinch and you can remove them from there.

That did it. Thanks man.

No problem. Glad I could help.

QQLauncher icon problem

Guys, I think I'm loving the QQLauncher already. The problem is sometimes the apps disappear or its icons are hidden. Sometimes, the icon is simply an Android "apk" only.
See attached sample. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and any work around?
Thanks in advance!

Zephyr Multitasking

Hey guys,
Anyone who has ever used a jail broken idevice must be familiar with the zephyr multitasking tweak that allows you to switch between apps by swiping the screen?
You can also exit any app by swiping up from the bottom which takes you to the home screen.
What I wanna know is that is there any such tweak or utility for android?
I'm wondering the same too! any luck?? that multitasking swipe is the best i found... do let me know if you found anything similar.. thanks!
Nope no such luck.

reawaken!
Has anyone found a solution to this yet? There are a few guesture-based multitasking apps and tweaks now, if only we could get hold of the source for one and impliment that smooth two-finger swipe 'gallery style' animation for switching apps.
Cydia substrate is available for android, maybe someone could get in touch with the zephyr dev

Landscape wallpaper

Sorry if this has been covered, i can't search this particular forum with Tapatalk
Has anyone been able to properly set their wallpaper with landscape proportions rather than portrait? Even when I select my wallpaper of choice, and select the ridiculous cropping I'm forced upon, my wallpaper has large black gaps in any screen other than my middle screen.
I've tried multiple launchers to no avail, the best I can do is to use Holo Launcher and disable scrolling wallpaper; this is not the desired effect.
Is there something I'm missing here?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
The wallpaper should be sized 1440x1280 for scrolling to work, 720x1280 for just setting an image as a wallpaper. I use a combination of Apex launcher and I set my wallpaper using "Quickpic" which is available in the Play Store. I think other suggestions include "Zedge" but I have no experience with the app.

i can confirm drive link works on vzw sg3. installed from samsungapps and work fine.
I think this is the worst "driving mode" app I have ever had the displeasure of using. First of all, it is FAR from intuitive, making you sift through several menus before reaching the shortcuts you want, instead of having the main screen. Plus, they put ones there that are dumb and you can't remove. Instead, they fill up the main screen with weather which, since I have eyes, I can look outside my car and see. Secondly, it is locked into landscape mode, which is horrible since for navigation, you want it in portrait, so you can see more of the road ahead not to the sides. Thirdly, it acts as a normal app, in that when you press home, it goes back to the homescreen. You have to rely on the onscreen horribly placed buttons. If you want a decent one, get Google Car Home. It would be easier to just use my phone normally than use this.

XDA PREMIUM app is garbage!

When viewing a topic and hitting return arrow it closes to my home screen, not to the section I was in.
Replying to a topic 6 times out of 10 freezes it and "Unfortunately XDA Premium has stopped"
Cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried everything...
Anyone else having these issues??
Sent from my SGH-i717 using xda premium
Just use the official tapatalk app... The xda app is based off that anyways...
Shifted from a Zombie Wasteland
It's sucked for many months now. I've abandoned it for Tapatalk and all is well. There should be refunds for people who wasted money on that app, since actually fixing the problems doesn't seem to be an option.

Have you updated to the latest version? The latest version doesn't close when return key is pressed.

Isn't the official app just a way of supporting XDA? Yeah, tapatalk is probably better because it'll be the most up to date. So buy both- one for XDA, one for yourself.
Never had a crash

Yes, the official XDA app is just to support XDA. It's based on and maintained by Tapatalk, and XDA paid Tapatalk a little bit of coin for this. It's a service Tapatalk does, you can look it up.
By far the best thing to do is to simply run Tapatalk. If XDA is the only forum you manage (as it is for me) take the Tapatalk shortcut off your home screen. Add a shortcut, to a Tapatalk forum, then choose XDA. Now you basically have the XDA app. But it's the latest Tapatalk, it's just a shortcut to the XDA forum. Icon is better, too (yellow "xda" on brown background).
If you want to give XDA your charity, I'm sure there are better ways of doing that.
