[Q] Notification tweak - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I was wondering if there is a tweak out there to be able to hide the notification bar until you swipe down from the top? Basically a similar idea to how you can hide the windows start bar until the mouse is at the bottom of the screen.

You can do this with apex or nova launcher...

apps to hide status/menu bar ?

now we have root, we'll finally be able to use apps to hide status/menu bar.
I've found several ones and don't know if someone already test them on Thinkpad ?
- HoneyBar (not test yet)
- StatusbarToggle (don't succeed to use it, long press on search button don't do anything)
- Hide Bar (cannot show back the status bar by swyping the bottom of the screen, maybe I should try this)
- TabletBar Hider (hide with rotation; not tested)
- script for Tasker (I don't have tasker)
- hide the system bar via power menu (not tested)
and another one I forget te name (but that cause me to wipe the tablet because power button doens't seems to work correctly anymore...)
I'm using Honey Hide Widget ( https://market.android.com/details?...251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS52bGFyYS5ob25leWhpZGUiXQ..) By far one of ugliest apps I've seen but works great.

Also using this app. Yes it is a tad ugly, but works wonderfully and it is quite small.
Honey hide widget just works, thats my choice, very simple too.
Thanks for this widget, works good (but I don't understand why using 2 buttons? One would be enough...)
For the moment, I find that hide bar and honey hide are the bests.
Honeybar causes some lag and most video player have also the play button on the bottom center of the screen.
And I remember the apps that I suspect to makes my power button not working, it's "no system bar".
HoneyHide Widget has been updated to address your concerns
So far I've tried HoneyBar and HoneyHide Widget. Both work well, but I prefer a clean home screen, so I'd rather use an app than a widget.
The new HoneyHide Widget does work well with the hard Home button on the TPT.

How do you use it? It did not appear in the app or widget list after installing.
e: required a restart is all.

I have the same question. Any app or way to hide ics status bar?
There is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487647&page=4 this thread but as it is a custom settings panel, probably it won't contain the 'pen only' button anymore etc. Did anybody try this?
Or can anybody do a version for the thinkpad ics?
Or any other solutions?
Thanks

Thanks for the help, Hidebar works for me, although this one (not sure if the two are the same):
GDM HideBar (it is the same as the one used in the GDM gesturecontrol, only that this is free and is only for hiding the bar)

and many mod statusbar

[Q] Any way to add shortcuts to the status bar?

There is a lot of empty space between the task switcher icon on the left and the clock on the right. Would be a perfect location for shortcuts to running apps etc.
That's a pretty good idea but as far as I know there is no way to do it unless some clever person has worked it out.

samsung has something like that on their SGT 10.1-roms... Maybe its possible to port that?
I don't find it THAT useful though...
there is a .app, something like quicklaunch, I use it with HC but can't remember the name... u should search in the market... but it's only quicklaunch, can't put shortcuts in bar

There was an application called Wizz Bar, you might be able to find it somewhere online. It allows you to press in the open space in the middle and it would open a little box over any application which you could launch from. That might work?
Here it is: Wizz Bar
I will look into Quick Launch, thanks.
It looks like Wizz Bar no longer works on ICS

Also try Elixir. cant remember if you can customise complicated shortcuts, but i know you can add toggle switches as well as quick launch apps

an "E" icon sits on the bottom right http://i.imgur.com/LwzlA.jpg
tapping that pops up a mini toolbar which you can customise with all sorts of toggles and switches.

[Solved/] Remove navigation bar?

Hi all,
I wondered if it's possible to remove the bottom navigation bar. I'm using the latest CROMI 4.5.
Most threads say to use the full screen apps, but these remove the status bar also which I wish to keep. So ask in all I'd like to keep status bar I.e on 4.2 but remove the navigation bar and instead use LMT.
Thanks
Edit: solved with app GMD HIDE SOFT KEYS.

I suggest using GMD Gesture Control. It enables you to use gesture to hide/reveal your status bar and such with ease. It also allows you to modify what gestures do what on your tablet. It's VERY convenient.
I hope this helps!
Edit: Oh oops, I missed seeing the edit part. Same branded apps, still works. lol
Yeah! Got it sorted so was okay in the end! Thanks for the GMD tip though.

[Q] Does anyone know how to get your app drawer in the navigaion menu???

Does anyone know how to get your app drawer in the navigation bar???
I would love to get my app drawer in my navigation bar but i have not found this option yet. I'm tired of going to the home screen just to open the app drawer when the app drawer could be on my navigation bar. Please tell me if this is even possible.

I don't think possible. The app drawer is part of the launcher. It isn't a process of its own. You would have to assign an emulated hardware button to that process alone.

Nova launcher prime has a number of gestures built in. I only use swipe up for app drawer and swipe down for notifications.

You're not likely to find that as it would have to control the actions on a system level across all apps. Android simply isn't built for that yet.
I use native immersive mode with GMD Gesture Control for swipe navigation with no nav bar (swipe up to show it), very customisable. Needs root. Generally good at recognising the gestures.
