Some of the asus apps require the correct framework-res to be installed. That might be why they don't work on cm10. They should work on any stock version though.I'm not at a PC so can't remember if any are reliant on the .so libraries in /system/lib
Are you using the latest 10.4.4.23 as your base or earlier versions (not that Asus have changed the apps)?

Yes, I am trying to track down all of the libs for them.
They are based on 10.4.4.20 as I couldn't find a deodexed version of .23

Download CROMI 3.0.3 (link in my sig) and yoou will find all the 10.4.4.23 deodexed versions. Most I have seperated out into the ASUS folder for my aroma installer. Others are still in system/app
Hope that helps

Yes, that's perfect!
I also know there are permissions .xml's for the Asus apps, along with libs and .so's.
IT WORKS!!!
As of 12/23/2012 the installer works! Waiting on it to boot up to see which apps work now!
Removed WebSync and PCsyncTool

Updated.
As of now, Flash doesn't work in /system/app, I will fix that later. MyScript Notes doesn't work either, if somebody wants to try and fix that. I will look into getting a later version of it if I can.

Any way to get Asus MyFrame in there?

Re: [MOD] [2-17-2013] Asus Stock Apps
Sorry it took forever, but I added MyFrame.
When I get the chance, I will try and make this into an Aroma installer so you can choose which ones to install.

Re: [MOD] [2-21-2013] Asus Stock Apps
Before I flash this (into CleanROMInheritance 3.2 using TWRP 3.2.1), I have a question...does this install all apps or do I get to select individual apps?
I'm Polish bred, Alabama educated, and government trained. Trust me. If I'm surviving, there's hope for you too!
Why would you want to flash this into Cromi? You already have all these apps available to you.
Also this flashes all apps. No choice unless you remove them from the zap file first.
Re: [MOD] [2-21-2013] Asus Stock Apps
When I flashed the ROM I opted not to install most of the Asus apps. Mostly to avoid bloat. Turns out I might want the cloud app for the splashtop feature. Does this install the Asus apps as system apps where they cannot be uninstalled?

Just reflash CROMI and choose cloud and you will be fine. You won't lose any data if you choose the same options.

Yes and yes
Is it me or is flash player not working on the stock browser?? Plug-ins are always on
Tried a few searches to ascertain if the kernel was built from official 3.2 source, or if it was still 3.1?
I've avoided OC kernels on previous source as I'd read they were problematic.
Do you suggest using pimpmycpu or setcpu for speed changes?
Thanks for your work roach!

Unsure if previous versions work but here you go.
I have two applications that are no longer working(coming from prime 1.7)
Diversion - it's a game
News Republic - it's a news program (looks like this is for all ASUS 3.2 updated, as per a market comment)
I can't say if these run or not on regular updated 3.2 as I've never been on that.

EDIT: Diversion definitely still works on 1.8.2 for me
EDIT 2: i just checked my market for updates and theres an update for diversion. Im too scared to install it now that i know yours isnt working. Are you on the updated version?

You're probably right about nearly no difference between the miui rom but the same thing can be said about sense rom too. The only difference between them is just theme and other applications you can find in the market.

quite true. and if i would have found a single miui rom having the two or three things i absolutly wanted i never had started to cook mine.
i never released it if i wasn't asked to from several people. but in the recent time there are indeed some new miui roms i can't tell the difference between them, or for some even between stock miui.
any feedback about the addon? ore suggestions to add/remove?
if you ask... snd3254 and the io patch (i guess you mean libsqlite.so) are since long time already in miui.
zipaligning system apps is useless as any rom cooked in dxda kitchen zipaligns apps by default. it just waste time on boot for chekcing/alignen apps that don't change.
i think this are enough comments from my side

thanks for your respond
snd will be deleted like mentioned before
i did not recognized the i/o patch in miui.. but you know what you are talking about so it will be deleted in future releases
about zipaligning system apps, i left it there because i often change my system apps manually, so its only for be sure it IS <<< will check boot time without it and will make a coice
[EDIT] Bootanimation will also be deleted untill the filesize is smaller... 10MB only for an animations is too much imho
if you change system apps often (what users of your adon most probably won't) you could run the script manually for you and only for the specific app. no need for another process doing stuff at boot time.
it is not a big thing but an useless one
and you can see that the io patch is already in miui by running quadrant. impossible to just jumpt through db writes without it
EDIT: who cares about the 10MB of the bootanimation considering that /system is nearly empty. miui roms are so damn small. i even thought about repartitioning my internal memory to spend the wasted free space to my /data partition.
EDIT2: i think i am now motivated to realize that
Cheers mate.. This is awesome
Just what I needed.. I always flash MIUI.US beta cause they are always first with the new release.. And there for I miss some stuff like this, and it´s always a hassel flashing another miui rom when the dev´s here get them out..
So great work.. This sure deserves a beer IMO.. PM you when it´s done
Cheers...
Edit: All respect to @a user, he know´s what he´s talking about(most of the times anyway ) but please don´t remove the zipalign thingy, cause I remove and change the system apps quite often and I don´t know how the script thing work´s (noob I know ) so a little longer boot time, who care´s, how often do you need to reboot anyway....
Or if you remove it, have it as a seccond addon if it´s possible..
Cheers..

CWM-Recovery has to be on the phone
1. Download GT-I9001_signed_Cryberts_Rom_v1.3.1.zip
2. Put the zip on your internal SD-Card
3. Go into Recovery-Mode
4. Make a backup of your existing rom
5. This step isn't necessary:
Go to "Mounts and Storage" and format cache, system and data
6. Flash GT-I9001_signed_Cryberts_Rom_v1.3.1.zip
7. Then power-off the phone and wait some time before you start it again. When it doesn't bootup take out the battery and wait some time.

I do not really think, that this is a problem. If you need an app, just shout and someone will upload
Nevertheless, a changelog for added/removed apps would be nice.
That Rom looks absolutely beautiful...!! i got a couple of questions: The scores in the CPU section of Antutu are extremely low since you only modified the stock kernel with init.d and boot animation support. You just could've taken a kernel of Manveru0 or Sakindia123 with OC/UV as well. And (I can't make it up from the changelog) did you implement CWM as standard recovery? And extended powermenu (I presume that one's implemented since it was in Reneph's theme allready, you might want to state it in the changelog as well)? Last question; what's the use of the 3 lower buttons on the homescreen, since all phones with hardware buttons won't have those enabled in official ICS roms?
Other than that, I'll be checking this one out...!!

I don't think that the scores are really that low and I just wanted to use the stock kernel for my base. So if someone wants OC/UV he just has to flash one of the other kernels and thats it.

No CWM isn't included. You need CWM to flash this rom so I think there is no sense for implementing it.

The buttons can't be removed.
The left one is for restarting the launcher.
The one in the middle is for seeing all homescreens.
The right one gives you access to the shortcuts.
Other than that, I'll be checking this one out...!!

May you can consider using Go Launcher EX with ICS-launcher theme as default launcher. Its pretty nice too and do not have such buttons

Kind of obvious about CWM indeed, since it has to be flashed with CWM
Can't wait to try it out!

Thought about that too. Perhaps I will remove ICS Launcher in the next version. Because it seems that GoLauncher is also a bit more stable and smoother.
EDIT: Here is the download: http://www.multiupload.com/ITULXGT266
maybe u'll find this post useful , see 2nd post , and the battery and lockscreen mods

The ICS Launcher by SyndicateApps is very unstable atm. I would also suggest some other launcher instead.
Great work anyway!
Just flashed it, booted up nicely with a nice galaxy nexus animation. So far so good. Had no problems yet with ICS launcher, but I'm now going to try Go launcher EX with ICS theme, just to see which one's better looking
Downloaded, instaled sucessfuly!
For now, no FC-s, really great!
Thanks a lot.
Will play with it for testing further
u re killing me mate with v1.1..

Yeah, its really useful. Thank you so much for implementing the support for GT-I9001.
Sent from my GT-I9001 using XDA App
For now everything works fine. I'm missing my google talk... also google maps are gone, but maybe I have some how deleted it myself..
Anyway, great job, thanks
Nice work! good to see more custom roms
You updated Market on newest version (3.4.4)?
Tapatalked from my Samsung Galaxy S Plus
Will try it now, Changelog looks really great.
Only App i would not have removed is Kies Air, i thinks it's a great one but that's not the point, i'll make a backup of it
Edit: I'll change back to the stock Touchwiz-ROM for one time, just to make a backup of the music player. I like that you can directly control it from the notificatiobar. But two questions but that's my personal taste. How can I get back the Touchwiz lockscreen and you said that the contacts and phone have been modded, but I actually don't see any changes. I'll change it by my own just like some small other things I don't like but all I all great work!
Edit2: For the next version you could include the newest version of Swype.
[Nook HD / MOD] CM10.1 EMMC/SD Install "tabletUI" modification - Updated: 7/12
Please make certain you have at least booted the you're OS once and gone through the setup menu of google apps.
I've discontinued this thread but if you look at the few last posts you will probably find someone who has attached a tabletUI flashable zip for a version of verygreen's cm-10.1-UNOFFICIAL-hummingbird-emmc.zip just flash it over your working build and it will enable TabletUI interface.
http://fanoush.wz.cz/android/
This was created using Auto-Patcher 2.9.1
6.13.13 Updated OP
I know verygreen said don't ask for bobokan's features in his build (& I get why), but this is one I went looking for immediately & couldn't find where it was hidden to enable to the tablet UI settings.
Thanks for this.

Your welcome.

I'm getting boot loops when trying to install this tabletUI on the 6/24 ROM from verygreen. The restore zip on this thread didn't work either, ended up having to re-flash the main ROM to fix.
Sent from my BN Nook HD using XDA Premium HD app
I tried patching the latest CM10.1-emmc from vg myself (6/30).. ticked tabletUI and cm but the created zip file doesn't work. SystemUI.apk crashes
Hi, I have produced 07/12 tabletui patch also for HD (because someone asked me politely ) You can get hummingbird files from here.
BTW, I have only HD+, not HD so I can't test it, please report success/failure.
There is also combination with openpdroid, just beware that openpdroid breaks Android multi-user feature.
I am a user in China who love your mod very much. But I can never download your path successfully since July. I can see the file list while downloads fails then. Could you change or add another server so I can download the patch.
Thank you.
see the hd+ tabletui thread, there are links to other server both for hd+ and hd
A big thank you goes to Padfone Club user "perkz" for helping me test this ROM, since I don't have the Padfone Infinity this would not have been possible if it wasn't for him so you should all thank him!
Okey now to the ROM
This is a ROM based on the newest WWE firmware (as of today) 10.6.9.33-0.
The features of this ROM are: Rooted, deodexed, zipaligned, partially debloated and it comes with busybox preinstalled.
The following apps have been removed
HTML:
Asus Pad Tutorial
Asus Reader
Asus Setup Wizard
Asus Story
Asus Studio
Birthday Reminder
Buddy Buzz
Facebook Poster
Geniewidget
Kindle
Magnifier Tutorial
My Bit Cast
PC Sync Launcher
PinPal
Press Reader
Watch calendar
Zinio Reader
To be able to flash this you will need to use the TWRP image that perkz made, this can be found here
You shouldn't have to wipe anything before flashing this ROM but if you want to be on the safe side I would recommend wiping the cache and dalvik cache.
Enjoy!

There is no WW version of the 10.6.9.29 yet, but you can expect an update soon after it gets released
Great stuff, I will try this as soon as my Infinity arrives this week! :good:
Do you think it might be possible to port MIUI 5 or Cyanogen mod 10.1 to this device with the source code currently available?

Ofcourse it's possible, however I won't be doing it since I don't have the Padfone Infinity, only the Padfone 2, but why don't you give it a shot yourself?

But then I can wait as long as I want, but nothing changes.
Has anybody the same issue???

Great! Id happily try but I wouldn't know where to start. I understand how the partitions work an what odexing is, but I don't know where to look for the latest source for the padfone specific stuff and how to make sure everything plays nicely. Especially with dynamic display switching.
Also, i tried the mihome launcher in tablet mode an its horrible, so i need to find another alternative to the app drawer...

Have you tried downloading it through the phone? I googled your problem and more people seem to be having it, however no one seems to have a solution.
@Nintynuts
You should start with this: http://xda-university.com/as-a-developer/porting-clockworkmod-recovery-to-a-new-device

Yes, I've tried it everyhere (Phone & PC, each with several browsers)
Even the "Mega-Android-App" won't get it downloaded.
Perhaps the Download-Quota expired???

Thanks. Do I need to build cwm instead of using the current custom one? I know i can get cyanogenmod from github, but is it mainly using the asus kernel with a mixture of apks from the latest wwe rom, play store gapps and anything i want from the latest miui release?
Btw, i cant download the rom either, could you try mediafire or google drive instead? I have a feeling it might be either a region thing or only so many downloads per day as its a large file.
If you want to build cyanogenmod you should start with getting a fully functional cwm recovery first, that will make it alot easier to make the actual cyanogenmod part of it.
I wouldn't worry about the kernel stuff yet, it's not required to have a kernel built from source to make CM it's just recommended.
If I were you I would get CM booting correctly on the phone alone, before I tried getting the dynamic-display switching to work, that's what I'm doing for the Padfone 2.
I guess I'll upload it to google drive over night and hopefully that works better.

Yeah man, now I'm downloading right now.
Flashed it just now. Leave it now working for a wile.
Now I have this ROM running since two days.
Seems like everything is working well.
I have rooted and debloated the original ROM before myself. So it is simmilar to this one.
So if there are different ROMs comming in future, this ROM is a comfortable alternative to go back to STOCK rooted.
