Here's a funny (not for me) story.
December 20th, 15 hours, I bought a Galaxy Tab Plus WiFi (P6210).
I got home and started to search for CM 9 or 10, updates and etc.
Well, long story short: I've updated from 3.2 to 4.0.4 (via Odin), then I flashed the CM10 (WHY, GOD???), and then I flashed (via Odin) the 4.0.4 again.
The tab got stuck on the SAMSUNG screen and then I thought: I just have to wipe data and then it's all good.
WRONG!
I couldn't wipe ANYTHING.
I tried to flash ICS again, but the message was:
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> P6210ZTOLP3_P6210UBLP7_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.

Well, I don't know what to do.
In less than 12 hours I bricked my tablet
If you guys can help me in anyway, I'll be very glad to try what you say.
Here's a pic of this disgrace
I assume somewhere in there you must have flashed CWM recovery? Which version of CWM?

I think it's the ICS one. Now it won't even enter the Recovery...
I've flashed the PIT and the Honeycomb, but I'm stuck on the bootlogo.
Edit: Was the 3e. Now I've flashed the 6.0.0.8
Well, after flashing the Honeycomb and the CWM v6, I can wipe data/factory reset, I can format /system and etc, BUT I'm stuck at Samsung bootlogo

Unfortunately some of the tablets have a EMMC bug that can cause a hard brick symptom when you wipe the system under certain recovery loads. I hope you have not encountered this.
You should use the latest CWM, version 6.0.1.9
Check this tread for some more information on EMMC brick. Perhaps try flashing the Stock ROM and PIT file using ODIN as described in one of the links. Have you tried flashing back to cm10?

I don't know wich PIT I used before, but one of them let me mount /data and /system. I'll try all of them to see wich one works and then I'll try to flash CM10.
I can't sleep while my tab is in danger

Hi,
This morning (in Belgium), I flashed the Cyanogenmod 9 Alpha 11 rom on my Nexus S and everything seemed to work fine. But the Nexus S didn't reboot after the installation. It's stuck on the Google logo startup screen!
I've tried to restore the original rom with the ClockworkMod Recovery tool but it says "E:Can't mount /sdcard" !
I've also tried the "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" options but it didn't work.
I'm afraid my Nexus S is bricked... please help me
Did you use a custom wipe all zip?
Its doesn't sound like you brick it, that's the good news.
I'm thinking you need to flash a boot animation zip.
Good luck

Thanks for you answer.
What do you mean by "a custom wipe all zip"?
And what is/how can I flash a boot animation zip?
I found an app named Odin that could help me restore the original rom of my Nexus S. Unfortunatly, it didn't work... The process is stuck at the very beginning and there's what I can see in the "Message" box:
Code:
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..

There is a a "wipe all" zip in the NS development section. It's called "wipe all zip perfect for ICS roms" I think. Search for it.

Thanks for your answer.
Ok now I've understood what a custom wipe all zip is and no I didn't use one. I wiped everything before (and after since it didn't work) the install of CyanogenMod9 Alpha11 with the ClockworkMod Recovery tool.
Should I try to flash a wipe all zip? How? Since I can't mount the sdcard...
Note: I also tried to format the sdcard from clockworkmod recovery. I think it worked but I still can't mount the sdcard
Note2: I also tried to re-lock/re-unlock the bootloader (I've read that on a topic). The re-lock process worked fine but now I cannot re-unlock! I choose "Yes" then nothing happens... The phone stops responding. I wanted to flash the original system.img, boot.img and recovery.img with fastboot but now that my bootloader is locked I can't.
Any idea? 300€ is way too expensive for a brick...
samsung nexus s 4g from sprint
How can you use the nexus s from sprint in Belgium?
I don't use Spring and it is a regular Nexus S, not 4G.
By the way my Nexus S is still bricked at the same stage as said on my previous posts. I've seen a YouTube video where a guy unbrick a Nexus S which did not even boot into recovery mode so there has to be a solution to unbrick mine.
Here is the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ecp8jKmm48k&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Yes i did.
This the files i got in DXKF1
so you are on DXKF1 right now?
i hope your problem is not hardware related though somehow its leaning on that direction
after you flashed DXKF1 try to flash DXKP9 which would be gingerbread, its a one package file so you dont need to put pit file and you should not put a check on repartition box when flashing DXKP9
after DXKP9 is installed, and you experiencing the same loop install this
http://d-h.st/r4r it is vurrut kernel v8, but you should be on DXKP9 first because cfroot for that kernel and kernel is for gingerbread
after you flashed dxkp9 and experience same loop
just flash that kernel as PDA in odin , also dont check repartition box
after flashing kernel, go into recovery ... wipe cache and also wipe dalvik cache
lets see how it goes from there

I have a card reader can i copy something into SD and then update from recovery which is my last hope
I guarantee this will work. Try flashing XXKPE first then flash DXKP9 or anyfirmware you want. Tried updating my sister's phone (formerly mine) and that's what i did a while ago.

I have exactly the same problem and been trying for 2 days, all possible or recommended solutions but to no avail what we have is the hardware problem viz the internal memory chip if it was an sdcard we may be able to change it but it isn't so off to the agent we go i'm afraid.
I have tried to use CWM to install from sdcard, made me happy for a moment when it started flashing but alas instead of rebooting into rom it went back to CWM which says can't mount data blah blah blah. Must ve done all these 100 times GIVING UP!!! No more Samsung for me I ve SGS(no 3 button combo) which is hard brick going to try the mod this weekend to see if i can revive it, at least my skyrocket is still up and about

did you wipe cache and dalvik cache ?
Hi,
my little sister got a GT-P5100 and installed lots of apps from Play store. One day she found out that the tablet keeps restarting after a few minutes.
So I tried to uninstall lastly installed app, but the device restarted every time I tried to do something with it - even a factory reset or opening the play store app. I also couldn't perform a factory reset form the recovery - it seemed like it was done ("Data wipe complete"), but it changed nothing. The next step I made was to flash a new firmware through Odin (3.07). The original firmware was 4.0.4, I flashed 4.2.2 - the whole process seemed to be OK, but an error occurred when the SYSTEM part was being flashed. I tried it 2 more times with the same result. Then I tried to root it with CF-Auto-root through Odin. The process was made successfully (as Odin wrote). The next step was to flash the CWM recovery (with hope that I will be able to perform a working factory reset). This was successful again, but the recovery didn't change.
AFTER ALL THIS STEPS I HAVE THE SAME LOOKING SYSTEM - with all apps, same restart problem,... It seems like it is protected against writing/deleting of anything.
I would be really thankful, if anybody gives me an advice what to do...
Thank you very much.

brother first do a factory reset from tab not through recovery but in tab settings
then boot into recovery and
1 factory reset {again}
2 wipe cache partition
then format
1 data
2 system
3 sd ext
4 cache
then power off tab
then go to download mode
i think now you will be able to flash stock firmware through odin
also as you said that you got error in system during flashing from odin i thing it's the problem in zip file of that 4.2.2 rom that gave you error so change the file and it will work
good luck :good::good::good::good::good:

Thank you for trying to help, but...
I can't do a factory reset from the tab, because it restarts every time I try to do anything.
I have only android system recovery, so I can just wipe data/factory reset or wipe cache. I did both, but nothing happens.
This is what the recovery writes:
Applying Multi-CSC... Applied the CSC-code: TMZ... did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/default_workspace.xml' (No data available)
I also tried to download other rom, but there is still a problem with Odin:

I got the same problem.
Anybody know how to solve this? :crying:
Plrase try again to flash your device with original firmware on odin until 3 times if first time filed also second is filed,so do last to flash....
After is succses on flash wait 5-10minutes.if not enter to star on menu.remove back cover your device and unplug the battrey let stand the battrey until 20minutes.so put again battrey reboot to recovery system choose factory reset>>delet all user data...
Than rebbot your device...
I have the same problem, i was trying to install original ROM but it doesn't work (even four times)

Hi,
please help I have xtresolite Rom installed and tried android encryption.
Phone went black and notification LED was flashing blue.
I forced a reboot and since then the phone boots with some default wallpaper and tells me: "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped."
Wiping and reflashing ROM has not helped.
Anyone got a hint?
thanks in advance
you can try flashing whole firmware including pit too.. Maybe that would help..
I know how to flash using Odin. Where do I get whole firmwares with pit?

Hi, sorry to revive this old thread but the situation is similar to mine. My situation and how I got there: I got a hand-me-down S6, model G925W8, and wanted to remove as much of the bloatware on it so started by rooting it with it's appropriate root file from here "https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/" and applied it through Odin. I then installed TWRP ver. 2.8.1.7 from here "https://dl.twrp.me/zeroltetmo/" also through Odin. I then installed XtreSoLite through TWRP and after I installed some of the Aroma addons from "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/development/rom-xtrestolite-pure-edition-1-0-beta-1-t3082467".
The issues began when I attempted to encrypt the device with the vanilla encryption method, without a the quick encryption method selected if that helps, and was stuck on a black screen for a long period of time until I rebooted via "Volume down + Power key". The device then restarted, showed an "Encryption Failed" screen, and offered to reset and wipe the phone to continue, as the only option, but when I accepted it simply rebooted, brought up TWRP for a second, and returned to the Encryption Failed screen. I tried wiping the device to factory defaults via TWRP and still the device booted to "Encryption Failed". I then wiped as much of the phone as I could, including the cache and other parts and ended up with a phone with no OS and no TWRP. Reinstalled the root, TWRP, and used ADB to copy XtreSoLite back on the device only to return yet again, after all that, to a "Encryption Failed" screen. Before adding XtreSoLite a second time I also tried to return to android stock from here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/canada-galaxy-s6-edge-canadian-users-t3069314" but that failed to even get as far as the Encryption Failed screen.
I found this post but when I tried to follow the link for firmware and "pit" install I end up at an error "http://samfirm.net/post/129549796737/pit-file-galaxy-s6" there as the page no longer seems to exist, assuming it was applicable to my situation. As it stands, I have exhausted all of the few options I know about as I am very new to flashing and rooting android devices and this is my first time doing so. I want to get past the Encryption Failed screen and after that find out how to encrypt my rooted device properly but the primary issue is still the most important one - getting past the Encryption Failed screen. Any assistance provide would be amazing and I do apologies in advance if I missed something obvious. Thank you!
EDIT: Went the way of trying another stock rom from here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841" for my G925W8 then got "NAND Write Start!! FAIL!" so grabbed a pit from here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/g925-pit-files-multi-thread-download-t3171636" for my model and followed the instructions here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/help/guide-s6-edge-unbrick-guide-t3187655":
"..3) Find the corresponding .PIT file for your S6 EDGE.
4) Find the corresponding stock rom for your S6 EDGE.
5) Then put them into odin CORRECTLY. Rom to "AP", .pit to PIT
6) Make Sure these are checked: "Re-partition","NAND all erase"
7) Plug your device in and then press start."
And got this read out:
"<ID:0/007> Odin engine v(ID:3.1005)..
<ID:0/007> File analysis..
<ID:0/007> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/007> Initialzation..
<ID:0/007> Erase...
<ID:0/007> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/007> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/007> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/007> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/007> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/007> sboot.bin
<ID:0/007> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/007> FAIL!
<ID:0/007>
<ID:0/007> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)"
So still got a NAND write fail...
Edit 2:
Tried pit/stock rom a few more times with no success...had a suspicion that the custom rom would still work and tried my previous methods and I can load XtreSoLite now. But not stock...lulz. No NAND write issues on anything except stock roms for my device...although I tried two seperate stock ones from links given here. Now, just got to figure out how to encrypt a rooted device...
Galaxy S7 was FRP binary locked so I flashed stock rom with ODIN, rom off of sammobile. Now phone is stuck in bootloop and when i try to open recovery mode it just reboots the device. What do I do?
EDIT:
Im able to flash all the rom files but BL one. It's just an infinite bootloop, I managed to do factory reset on recovery mode but no fix
Did you flash all parts of the latest stock ROM?

Yes, I searched up model # on sammobile and downloaded 2 different carrier versions of firmware too. Both instantly fail on odin
What is the Odin error?
Posting the Odin log will help to isolate the issue.
Odin problems can sometimes be solved by using a USB 2.0 port and using a different USB cable.

It would instantly fail after Initialization. Anyway, I managed to get ODIN to succesfully flash but now bootloop is the issue.
the BL i was flashing from sammobil wouldn't work, found one for my model on the forums and flashed that + AP,CP,CSC from sammobile and .pit file with nand erase, repartition and everything all checked. Phone started and did system update then rebooted, now it's in a bootloop. I think everything is flashed correctly i just need a fix for loop now
HI
did u figured out your prob with boot loop

You have a back up of the efs folder? The nand erase option is not something that I ever recommend using as this folder has a lot of critical information.
You tried doing a factory reset from the stock recovery?

I used nand erase because anything else I tried didn't help, EFS isn't backed up. I did try to factory reset from recovery but it didn't work. Also did flash .pit file too, and used different firmware versions but they all ended up causing bootloop.
Were you trying to flash the bootloader from the latest nougat ROM?
You have a link to the bootloader you flashed to the g930w8?

I tried to flash these at first (BL failed but everything else PASS) https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930W8/GLW/download/G930W8VLS2BQF1/173068/
and https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930W8/XAC/download/G930W8VLS2BQF1/173063
BL worked when I flashed version posted here (G930W8):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/modem-samsung-galaxy-s7-sm-g930f-t3379596
So i searched filename on sammobile and flashed this
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930W8/GLW/download/G930W8VLS3BRC2/212091/
That one ^ all passed when flashing in ODIN but still caused bootloop
BTW thanks for sticking around and helping
Looks like the BRC2 bootloader is the latest.
What was the error in Odin when flashing the bootloader?
Did you get a chance to try different USB cables and a USB 2.0 port for the bootloader?

Try running Odin as administrator? It was my problem with the boot issue, I couldn't even turn off my phone because it would keep looping.

I'm not 100% sure but I wonder if the bootloop is due to a missing EFS folder.
Can you not into recovery? If yes, does the phone say anything about the EFS folder?

nothing about efs in recovery mode, only messages showing on recovery mode is: no support single-sku, supported api: 3, applied the csc-code glw, succesfully applied multi-msc, succesfully verify for dmverity hash tree.

I ran odin as admin every time i flashed
I am really not sure what else to suggest Other than taking it to Samsung for repair or a cell phone shop that can force flash the ROM again using hardware such as an octopusbox. If this is not a feasible solution, maybe buy phone with a busted screen and working internals to perform a motherboard swap.
I'm guessing but the bootloop maybe be due to having frp enabled or wiping the band.
Edit: could also try a custom ROM.

I'll try a custom ROM. I'm trying to flash TWRP to it but it's being blocked, 'custom binary blocked by FRP' shows on download mode and odin instant fails when flashing TWRP:

It makes sense that twrp world be blocked with frp enabled.
Did you flash home CSC or just CSC?
I'm out of ideas.

I did CSC. Can I use ADB or something to force disable frp? Since I can't turn oem unlock through settings as it just bootloops
