I have installed about 20 applications on system/app
I have renamed all these 20 apps in numerical order(1.apk, 2.apk, 3.apk so on...)
I would like to know if something could go wrong with this customisation...
Will I have a problem updating apps from google play?
Would google play recognize her apps?
Thank you for reading

an act of considerable courage and genius ...
I think probably there will be no problem in applications that have been renamed but it seems to be difficult to get an update from the play store ...
sorry if my response was not appropriate and did not help ...
I think google play would update them just fine, as it's not the name with what It's named in the folder, but something in the apk itself. If that wouldn't be true, you could just rename a apk to for example: Chrome and it'd be updated, so no, the apps will update just fine. Sorry for the maybe not understandable explanation :3

^The apk files in the system/app folder are named numerically. I can still get the updates from google play. It is recognizing it, no problem there.
Deciphering the numerically named apps is not so difficult because i can still see their icons and root applications do recognize them with their appropriate names.

but is there anything i can do to fix it? I run on Tmobile
Same scenario and symptoms for me - NexusOne is only partially recognized by Android market. Partially is meaning that I was able to download the applications I paid for, but all the free stuff was not suggested for downloading and in Market Web page "Last used" field is empty.
Any ideas? I'v tried to google the answer, but may be I'm asking wrong questions?
how did you install Market ? don't tell me that you just copy and paste this(es) file(s) from CM7 to MIUI
because my phone running well both MIUI and Market

I don't understand the question. There was nothing to install - Market is a part of MIUI 1.11.4. And my phone is able to run Market, download apps etc.
Now, when I'm looking at the first post - I see the difference. I can install applications Actually my problem is that Market does not recognize my Nexus1 as connected - Last Used field is empty. An, obviously, that's the reason I can't get all my previously installed apps to be re-installed automatically.
ahhh , okay , sorry that i missunderstood your question ...
I've the same issue with htc desire/miui 1.11.11
did you fix it ?
Hello, today I needed to download zip file from my gmail inbox. I had only Omnia W with me and no Android phone. After that I wanted to delete downloaded zip... but can it be done? On image below is what I mean... how can I delete once downloaded file?
In this cas it is only 90KB file, but what if I download 10MB zip for example, then it would take 10MB from small device's memmory forever? (or until factory reset). This is unacceptable behavior.

and that will also delete temporary file on device? and what if I want to keep mail on server?
Downloaded files are saved toa Temp location, and it appears that the OS cleans them out periodically. I could write a fairly simple app (wouldn't even need interop-unlock) that lets you view and clean them out, if you want, though.
Note, however, that I'm pretty crazy-busy right now, so I can't promise *when* it would be available.

Is it possible to access from code files outside the isolated storage of particular application?
An app with ID_CAP_FILEVIEWER can read the temp folder (using either native APIs or GetResourceStream).
I keep getting a "PNR_Report" folder in my N5. I delete it and it comes back. Anyone have a clue what app is doing it? I've Googled and only come up with "Passenger Name Record"... no clue
+1, well, +2, because I'm having the same folder from a week or so in both my nexus 4 and 10.
Catched. It came from Dolphin Browser. It was updated recently and now it creates that folder.

So is it safe to remove this file I don't use dolphin browser.
Does anyone know if its safe to remove the pnr-reports file on phone I don't use dolphin browser and apparently that's where it came from. Any help would be great, thanks.
You can delete it, it won't hurt anything.
However, if you still have Dolphin Browser installed, it might pop back up again. I'm not quite sure what the deal is regarding the framework of the app and its connection to the folder. Usually "pnr_report" is empty, even when looking at hidden files, and deleting it doesn't affect the functionality of Dolphin at all. I use Dolphin all the time and I always delete that folder out of habit whenever I see it.
So the short answer to your question is yes, you can delete it. You won't hurt anything.

Delete the ".thumbnails" folder which you can find inside the DCIM folder (you need to connect your device to PC to find this folder)
After deleting the folder reboot your device. This can solve your problem
I tried to delete the folder but same problem,,,, the strange thing is when I use any gallery app and delete file .normal ...but the problem only in the stock album ..
Sent from my C2305 using XDA Free mobile app
Figured these might be useful: the Chromecast with Google TV bootanimation.zip. Enjoy!
How can i use it on my android tv ??!
First, you'll need to root your TV. I would get a keyboard and mouse and install Magisk and Material Files. Root with Magisk and open the root section in MF. In the system/media folder should be a file named bootanimation.zip. Rename it to bootanimation.old and copy the bootanimation.zip from my post to system/media. Reboot and you should see the CCwGTV bootscreen
Keep in mind that rooting will probably nuke your warranty.
Also you should make a backup of everything. Please.
Also this will likely break Netflix and SafetyNet in general.
Thanks for the clarification ..
no problem

hmmm... not sure. Tbh i wouldn't use it on a non gtv because from what I've heard its a pain in the rear. Maybe try installing the setup wizard app that comes preinstalled on the ccwgtv. It should be com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith for the setup wizard and com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx for the launcher.
Looking at my gtv thats what happens when it first boots up. Try the setup wizard thing and if that doesnt work i would just buy a ccwgtv. They're on sale all the damn time anyway
Thanks for your help
