I looked at "About tablet" and the only thing that I can see that may tell me ROM version is the build number. It says IML74K.US_epad-9.4.5.22-20120615.
thanks

Yes, that's it. You can still get nvflash access as long as you don't upgrade.

I've searched but I never found steps on how to use those nvflash files. maybe you know?
I'm thinking of updating to JB for now and see that's better than 4.0.3
edit: seems problem with unlocking app anyway. no need to worry about nvflash for now

It's shame you can't unlock to have NVflash backup. Any how JB is definitely better (specially version .20).

The bootloader is not unlockable!??!?!
there are instructions for all the roms in their posts.
It's not as unlock, because I do not say anything when I use the automatic method, you could tell me how to do it again, I have downloaded the APK Cheesecake.

Sorry, I don't really understand this. Are you trying to check cheesecake? If so that is not a bootloader unlock. It just checks motorola development servers to hopefully find an update that has an unlocked bootloader or ICS. He have basically given up on finding a booltoader unlock with it, but we are still trying to pull ICS.
Do not use my auto cheesecake, as stated in the post it does not really work yet. Use the original cheesecake app and hit the first button once. Then choose the first server with the second. check for an update. if it finds one, download it right away, BUT DO NOT INSTALL IT. upload it somewhere and share it here so we can see what it has. If it says up to date, the server was up, but there was no update. if it gives a wifi error, the server was down, which is normal.
Oh I understand, good to me and came out a version downloaded and installed, so I guess it may not do anything now: (

No. It is not possible to unlock our bootloader. you can still install any of our custom roms.

Is there any way to root or unlock the Infinity after updating to Jellybean. The current methods do not work. Will i have to wait for someone to come up with a new tool or what
Downgrade back to .30
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915598
Install SuperSU and OTARootKeeper
Use OTARootKeeper to protect root
Update to JB
Use OTARootKeeper to restore root

Just follow the SKU of your infinity and download the file from ASUS.

Settings --> About tablet --> Build number
There you will find something like "XX_epad" in the middle of that very long string. In which XX = your tablet's SKU. It can be US, WW, TW, etc.
Sorry, I don't have my tablet in my hands. Cannot get you a screenshot. I am sure there's some around the forum.
Let me know if you can find it

Awesome i see its the US version. I have found it on Asus website. Now one more thing and this may sound stupid. I see it says put it in adb/fastboot. where is that exactly haha thanks again
Oh wait, I guess you haven't unlocked the infinity yet. Fastboot is available only after unlocking. I haven't unlocked mine, so I am not very familiar with that.
Using adb connecting to your tablet through command prompt is essentially the same as running terminal emulator on the tablet. I guess you should be familiar with adb as you hacked many phones already.
You know what. I heard that the unlock tool also works in JB for TF300T. I guess it should be working on TF700T with JB also. You can try it first before downgrading.
You can try this guide to downgrade to .30. Just download the .30 file instead of .22 stated in the post.

I've been looking around for a while and can't find much about unlocking the bootloader on the most recent Jelly Bean software. Is there anyway to do it?

download apk from here (This is the same tool as download from Asus) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8oj250figntedsb/UnLock_Device_App_V7.apk
That unlocker apk will work. I used it on a jellybeaned tf700 without issues. Just accept all the warnings. Fear not.

Yep works fine on JB even if Asus say it doesnt
Curious
Logan_M im curious to know if the tool worked for you. I have tried for the past month, daily to use the tool to unlock bootloader and it will not. I receive an error stating "An unknown error occurs, which may be a network issue. Please wait and try again later." I tried for 3 weeks on latest Jellybean update, then i decided to downgrade to ICS .30, and i still have same error. Tried on ICS for past week, on different Wifi connections. No luck. I contacted Support and they provided me the same tool V7, still error. They then asked for my MAC Address and i havent heard back from them yet. Hope i can get this unlocked soon, i have been wanting to try some custom ROMS.
Heres the issue. I am no noob at this whatsoever and have tried EVERYTHING. I have used every program I could find to attempt root and none can seem to gain root access. The install SuperUser or SuperSU and every time root fails even if said app is installed. Please help Im doing a talk on August 20th that I NEED this device for. All help appreciated. Thanks!
Im slightly confused as your sig says rooted stock
But anyway I recently got myself a Razr HD and I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2241788 to root and unlock bootloader
My device was 4.1.2 and I did not want to downgrade but this one worked :victory:
More info needed. Is your bootloader unlocked? If not, which firmware are you on?

Tried again with this guy and still got failure. I always get this:
[*]This May Take A Few Minutes
[-]Failure
Ok well what do you know. 3rd times the charm eh? I tried a third time this time after reflashing stock firmware, antennas, etc... Thanks!
Well done and welcome to the club

Thanks haha xD Coming from a Galaxy Nexus GSM Dev Edition, this is oddly restraining. There seem to be only a few ROMs available for this device.

Hi,
I replaced the digitizer in my TF300T, and now I need to run the ASUS touch-tool, to get it to work. However, it's incompatible with Android 4.2 and higher, so I need to flash something older. The problem is, that I cannot find the old bootloader anywhere and ASUS tech support doesn't have it either.
Does anybody have an old backup or something like that? Or maybe there is another way of doing this - if anybody knows, that would be very helpful.

The Old firmwares are located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33883254&postcount=3
But I'm not sure if you can just flash the 4.1 bootloader and go back to it. There was a method to doing it...Google probably knows :silly: :silly:
Ok, now I'm a bit embarrassed, because it seems the reason I couldn't find anything is I didn't know what I was looking for.
I'm a bit lost - does the firmware file contain the bootloader? My understanding of it was that I need to download the bootloader separately and flash it with Odin, then flash a compatible recovery and ROM (I'm on CM11 now btw). Is that correct?

Odin is for samsung :silly: :silly:
With asus, the bootloader is included in the firmware upgrades. But like I said, I'm not sure if you can just flash a previous version to revert. I know it works in some cases, but not all.

Well, I used to own a Galaxy S3 :silly:
Anyway, will flashing via fastboot work if I'm on CWM recovery (v6.0.4.5), or do I need the stock recovery? I'm scared to try it blindly after reading all the "bricked tabet" threads...
//Edit
Soooo... nothing seemed to work. I just gave up and sent the tablet to a repair shop, where they actually reprogram the digitizer circuit board. Anyway, thanks, cmendonc2, for trying.
