Anyone using the IPhone earpiece on Nexus 4?
The reason is i asked this because i only had this earpiece and tried it on my nexus 4.
Problem is when i called someone using the earpiece I'm able to hear the other party but the other party is not able to hear what I'm saying..
Can someone try that and verify if the earpiece is compatible with Nexus 4? just hope it not problem with my phone.. very hard to RMA the phone as I'm in the other side of the world..
Just in case if its not compatible? Can anyone list earpiece that is compatible with Nexus 4? so i may purchase it and try on my phone.
Thank you.
hope you mean earplugs ...

Any list of earpiece that compatible with nexus 4?
The iPhone headsets are incompatible with the phone. You'll have to get a new pair if you want to use the inline mic. Check out the thread dedicated to headphones/headsets in the nexus 4 accessories section if you want to see some of the choices that you have.

I recently lost my Samsung Epic Headset. I was wondering where i can get replacements or actually if there are better earbuds that are compatible with our phones.
What are you guys using for your everyday listening and talking purposes?
Thanks!
I just use regular skullcandy earbuds and unplug them if I get a call. I stream in my car via my bluetooth deck.

Just find your closest service and repair Sprint store and ask them for a pair, I'm sure they will have extras.
I'm unable stream music using Bluetooth - it is a mixed bag. I was able make it work with Honda but with the Infiniti the music keeps skipping every 2 seconds.
I tried deleting and reconnecting the phone and also disabling beats audio but no success. Has anybody else having issues streaming music in their car?
Receiving calls etc works correctly.

Same here
I have an M37s and I'm having the same problem. Works fine with Ford Sync and any other device I connect it to but in the Infiniti it skips
does it skip, as in skip tracks? or does the music cut out?
I don't know how many of you have Parrot Blue Tooth systems in your car, but the HOX works perfectly with it. Excellent call and music quality.
music cuting in and out.....just saw this looks like infiniti is blacklisted

Well Red5, since you closed my thread about a similar, but different issue...i guess i'll add another one here. Mine is like i'm holding the next track button, the audio is not cutting out. It's a www.gromaudio.com ipd3 unit. I didn't have this problem on my old Atrix 2.
That's odd. It works (well) with my Infiniti on the international version. The BT radio is discrete from the SoC so either HTC's using a different BT chip in the XL or it's s/w. Hopefully it's the latter can be addressed with updates.
Working well on an Evoque. But I've noticed that the track information doesn't sync with the media console. If I use my iphone, I can see the name of the track on the Evoque's display, but no luck with the HOX. Has anyone experienced this?

Of all the cars I've read reports of BT issues with, Infiniti is definitely the worst. My boss at my old job had an Infiniti (can't remember the model) and it wouldn't work with his iPhone 3GS. AN IPHONE FOR F**KS SAKE! It works with "everything!"

I had a 2011 and now a 2012 Infiniti and haven't had an issue with the i9100, iP4S, iPad2, G-Tab, and now the One X (international). What year Infiniti(s)? They changed the head unit (assuming you're referring to cars with Nav) in 2009/2010. There are also unpublished updates so you may want to check with your dealer to see if one's available. I got an update at my last service.
Android doesn't support album/track/artist data natively so that's why it's not displayed. Samsung's newer TW devices are the only ones I've seen that do and that's because Samsung's written the code for it and only via the stock media player.
I have '12 M with the nav system.

Thank you - I have the Parrot CK3100 and was wondering if my One X (in the mail) would have any issues.
As much as I love this phone, i'll be sidelining it until this gets resolved. My phone is my main source of audio in my car. I can't even listen to anything at the moment for more than a few seconds. So i'll see you in a bit! I'm keeping the phone for some android development, but i'm back to my Atrix 2 for the time being.
I can't even connect with my Kia. The phone never sees the vehicle at all. I had no problems connecting this car with the Galaxy SII. I'm wondering if my phone is just bad?
2012 fx here, bluetooth also not working : <
For this many fails it has to be s/w. Broadcom makes most phone BT chips and if the international's fine I can't see why the XL wouldn't be. Not good news in the short term but either AT&T/HTC or the devs should be able to fix it.
This is most likely what's inside. It's used by Asus, Samsung, and Motorola. It'll be interesting to see tear downs to understand what's common between the X and XL.

I tried the following tests.
Attempted to pair LG Bluetooth hb700 and could not pair with HOX.
Attempted the same with Samsung galaxy tab 2 and it worked correctly.
Tried the same again with plantronics backbeat 903 headset but was unable to pair them with both the Samsung galaxy tab 2 and HOX.
Both these headsets are working correctly. They pair with iPhone. I removed/unpaired the from the iPhone bfpre doing these tests.

I know this thread is about Infiniti cars, but wanted to chime in and say it doesn't seem to work in my 2010 Mustang GT with Ford Sync either. Hoping it gets fixed.
Infiniti G37S
Gents,
2010 G37 S. Just traded in the iPhone 4 for the HTC ONE X. Never had an issue with the iPhone connecting and playing spotify/pandora via bluetooth. Now with the ONE X I can receive and place calls but can not play music via bluetooth stereo . I have taken the vehicle to the deanship where they "preformed" an update to the bluetooth but again does not work. Might go back to the dealership. Hope someone figures this out!

I know this question has been beaten to death already, but I'm still not satisfied. Still have a week to return this thing, and I like it, but......
I'll be getting my hands on a surface when they're available, that being the case, i don't know if the sd card argument is as strong for me.
Has anyone returned a nexus 7 to get this? And why.... also why would you switch or why wouldn't you switch
Thanks guys
yes. 3 nexus 7's in fact. All had screen problems. Gave up after the third one and replaced it with the Tab 2 7.0. While the specification isn't as good as the nexus it really hasn't affected how I use it. One big plus is being able to add an sdcard and not have to worry about usb otg. Would I replace the Tab 2 with a nexus ? When they release one without screen problems, 32gb of memory and ability to add an sdcard, until then this is the best option
Excellent info, thank you

3G (P3100)!
In my country we don't have WiFi so freely available
I've asked myself the same question. I've never had a Nexus 7, but the things that won for me on tab 2 is that it has memory card, I have a 32GB model with....wait for it....3G. Friends ask...why don't you tether? Because I don't always carry my Galaxy Nexus and it's too much work.
The only problem I have, I've tried every ROM and every single one has Bluetooth to headset problems. I can't use the phone to Bluetooth to my car and that's a real pain for me at the moment.
This is my work phone and if you find a ROM (assuming you've rooted yours) that has audio to Bluetooth headset working please let me know. It's killing me honestly....
I've bought another 13 for guys at work.

Just received my Nexus 5 and am quiet disappointed with it.
The sound is OK, not as loud as my S3 but OK
The screen is very nice, but quiet a lot of display is used by the 'buttons'
Comparing side by side to the S3, the S3 seems to display more page.
Anyone have any comments or thoughts on this ?
Any way to get access to more of the screen without rooting it ?
Thanks

Its a nexus device, did you realize that nexus devices do not have hardware buttons before you bought it?
Not much you can do without root.
But if you do decide to root (use the guide in my signature) you can use pie controls or install a custom ROM/xposed module which will allow you to change the size of the navbar.

I realised that it had no buttons just thought it would have visible screen..
How does the nexus 5 compare to the S4, LG G2 and HTC One for useable screen space. ?

I was unhappy about the sound aswell, I rooted purely to install a sound mod that increases the volume greatly, and it doesn't have any distortion problems at all, see here.

PROS:
It's a decent price
It gets updates quick
It's fast
Camera takes decent pics in as long as nothing is moving
Design is good
CONS:
The cameras slow focus makes it next to impossible to take pictures of my new puppy.
The sound seems fine to me for speaker calling, for music not so much but who listens to music like that. I picked up a bluetooth speaker and use that anytime I want to listen to music sounds 10 times better than the speakers on any phone.
The screen size is good, the Galaxys are too big IMO feels like I'm using a mini tablet. I have the white version I don't care for the shiny edges but when my Nexus case comes I won't see them anyways.
My only other gripe other than the camera is I can't get an otterbox for it that's not the phones fault though.
Overall I'm happy with it for the price.

Why? Did you not do any homework at all prior to purchasing this phone? Are you not familiar with Nexus devices at all?
I'm so tired of these people who drop a few hundred bucks and don't even know what they're buying. It's not like the navbar is some kind of huge secret that people are discovering for the first time. It's a fundamental part of the Nexus experience, and there are plenty of other phones you could have purchased that don't have it. Complaining about the navbar on a Nexus phone is like jumping into a pool and then complaining that it made you wet.
^^^this. OP, please send me your nexus, I'll pm you my address.

And back to my point nexus isn't for everyone. I agree with the comments above, you should of done research before putting down a few hundred dollars on a device. The navigation bar should not been a surprise to you.
But you have a choice to return it also.

Well, there's no need to flame hard, but with all the people complaining about the N5's drawbacks...seriously? On-screen buttons? Remember what forum this is; literally all the ROMs have features to use full Immersive Mode, enable PIE, or decrease button size. Go and have a flashing day.
It's no big deal if you can use PIE or hide it or make it smaller; it's definitely something I can live with. I can't live with the ****ty perf of the S4 or the big big big bezels on the HTC One though. Worth it if you ask me...
@albert_htc these problems can be resolved by flashing custom ROMs and kernels, as well as Mods only if you're familiar with rooting and unlocking your bootloader

The navbar is not a "problem." It's an intentional feature of the device. There are mods you can flash to remove it, but they're not "solving" a problem - they're modifying or removing a feature that was intentionally included in the stock phone.
Once again, this is a standard Nexus feature that has been included in every Nexus phone and tablet that has been released since the Galaxy Nexus. This is not new, and it's not a "problem." The only problem is that there are apparently a bunch of people out there who refuse to educate themselves before plunking down hundreds of dollars on a gadget that is clearly not for them.

Sad but true. We spend $350+ on these phones we expect them to be flawless but sadly that's not the case. But what can we do we might as well unlock it's true potential and tweak them the way we want that's the reason why we chose android over iphone or for me that is
I have a custom ROM and kernel flashed and im very happy with this phone. Battery is stellar phone is snappy and I'm happy lol?

Hi there,
I need a suggestion for wired headsets ( with mic ofcourse ) in Indian market.
Lost mine in an accident.
If anyone would be kind enough to shed some light.
PS. Thanks in advance.
i am not from india but i have the xiaomi piston 2.0 headset and it is not working very well with the nexus 6p. would say 2/10 trials to plug in and actually works for me so i would say not a good idea to use the piston 2.0 headset.
Thanks bud.
I am looking for the compatible ones.
Don't wanna jump the gun before buying any.
No problem buddy. I have the new xiaomi headphones is coming on the mail and will let you know if it would work well with the nexus 6p. I hope I would work tbh. Placed the order weeks before I got offer the 6p :/
Thanks bud.
