GT-P3113 4.0.4 stock source

Hi, recently registered.
I have a GT-P3113 (Galaxy Tab 2 7), and im on 4.0.3 stock, rooted and cwm with some custom kernel modules.
I would like to upgrade to some 4.0.4 there are out there, but im afraid there is no source to that version (LG5). At least there isn't on opensource.samsung... Samsung doesn't release the source of his updates?
I would like to stay on stock rom with some custom kernel modules, but if there is no source I wont like to be stucked in 4.0.3. Anyone know where to get it?
Thanks,
Sebastián

Kernel Compatibility

New to the Galaxy Tab.
Just got a GTAB 2 10.1 GT-P5110 with stock 4.1.1.
I am currently unsure on the differences between different models and hence confused on compatibility issues.
I would like to keep the stock ROM but upgrade the kernel is that's possible?

How to return to stock rom

Hello,
I bought a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 (3g version), but my carrier installed its own ROM, removed the Phone app and unrooted the device,
Now I want to install back the stock ROM, but I will need to root it first right? but the guides showing how to root are doing it only with stock ROM, so I am afraid to try and root the device on my carrier's non-stock ROM. Is there a guide to root a non-stock device? or it's the same method as rooting stock device?
Is there a link to a guide on how to return to the stock ROM from unrooted non-stock ROM?
Thanks
Any idea? will the method for rooting stock Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 3g be the same as rooting non-stock unrooted Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 3g?
what custom rom are you using?
If your wireless carrier installed their own ROM because you have a data package then that is your official ROM...
do you have jelly bean installed?
Look into cf-autoroot for rooting your tablet, once its rooted you can easily revert back to any/stock ROM you want
Also there many stock ROMs that come pre rooted so that may be something you may want to look into...
We need more info though, what custom ROM do you have? What exact model galaxy tab do you have? How did you install this custom ROM? What version android are you running? Have you ever used Odin/kies?
That info would help us and you greatly...

I have 4.0.4 Android version, I did not install this custom ROM, it came preinstalled by carrier, it is not rooted (checked with "Root Checker"),I have used Kies but not Odin but I can learn I guess if there are instructions.
Your method (cf autoroot) and this one I found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056
say that it is going to work on stock ROM, but I do not have stock ROM, I have my carrier's ROM, that's why I am afraid to use it, but maybe you know whether I can use any of these method with my ROM?
okay...
Here is what I recommend...
First you are using ice cream sand which, the new android official going around Samsung is jelly bean android 4.1
You have to ask yourself do you want to upgrade?
If you do want to upgrade to JB dont root your tablet as you will not be able to officially update to JB.
If you want to see if an update is available look in your notifications or go into settings -> about tablet -> and hit software update
I think that is how I am using a custom ROM
If you have an update firmware to download I would do it...
Then root your tablet.
If you upgrade to android 4.1 then use the cf-autoroot exploit
If you want to root your tablet as is with android 4.0.4 then follow this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056
If that link list your model then you are all good since you do have an official ROM just a different model tablet
Oh...if you root your tablet with android 4.0.4 you can still upgrade to android jelly bean but you will have to use a custom ROM you will not be able to install an official firmware update.
So good luck...and look on YouTube for help on rooting your tablet there are some really great videos out there.
There is no jelly bean update available for my galaxy tab 2 , I think my carrier blocked the update.
the tutorial you gave me on how to root the tab is for 4.0.3 and my is 4.0.4. Also, all of these guides say that it's working on stock ROM, do you think it still going to work on my carrier's non-stock rom (if I will find a guide that can root 4.0.4 and not just 4.0.3)?
