Is there a way to only have notifications vibrate when in VIBRATE ONLY mode... not audible mode, I get both audible and vibrate when in audible.
Also, vibration duration is very long... any way to reduce milliseconds?

Does anyone know how to increase the text and email notification volumes? They are significantly lower than the ringtone volume.
Also, is there a quick way of turning off the vibrate to make it completely silent?
Now i hv an issue which need u help. For my Nexus s, no vibrate appears when an sms or gtalk message comes if the silent mode is off. But, the phone would be vibrating if i turned on the silent mode. i set vibrate always in the setting of Sound. i also set the vibrate always in the setting of SMS and Gtalk. But, it doesn't work. i wanna the ringtone and vibrate both appear if an sms or gtalk meassage comes. is there anyone help me?
there are 2 modes
make sure you have set it to VIBRATE mode
if you set it to SILENT mode, it is really silent, it wont even vibrate, because vibration makes noise

Now the problem is that if the SILENT mode is selected, vibrate would come, if not, no vibrate comes. i wanna see that ringtone and vibrate come out together if an sms or gtalk message received without SILENT mode selected. but, it doesn't work. However, if an incoming call came, the ringtone and vibrate could come out together.
i had the same issue ever since I bought my Nexus S but the setting for vibrating when you receive a text message is in the Messaging app after you press the menu key adn go into settings
Messaging App --> Menu Key --> Settings --> Vibrate (Under the Notification Settings)
Hope this helps!!
I use audio manager (free version) from the market. It offers excellent control over all the global sound levels and vibration.
Sent from the future to put right what once went wrong.
This seems like the dumbest thing in the world. How come the phone will not vibrate for texts when set on the Vibration sound profile if you don't have it set to normally vibrate when the notification sound is set to normal?
I don't need it to vibrate when I get a notification sound, but if I set my phone to vibrate, I expect it to vibrate for every single damn notification/call/etc, regardless of what it's set to in the Normal sound profile. It should override all normal settings.
You're right. Its been a feature of AOSP since eclair. Wonder why HTC removed that option.
do you have the box checked in messaging settings to vibrate when messages are received?

no, as I said, when I have my sound on, I don't need it to vibrate. It just baffles me that this doesn't automatically come on when the phone is set to Vibrate.
All,
I installed GO SMS as i normally do, but when i get an SMS, my phone does not vibrate. Anyone else getting this? Vibrate works on default messaging app, so i know it's working

Yeah. It is set to vibrate all the time. When i turn the phone on vibrate, the vibration works, but no when the ringer is turned up.

Go SMS has it's own notification setup. Are you sure you turned Vibrate on in Go SMS settings?
Hello,
I'm running JellyBeans Build 20 on my Galaxy s3.
I have the AOSP messaging app and I have checked vibrate under notifications. Whenever I put the phone into sound only, the phone will still vibrate when a text comes. If I take vibrate off a text notification will only have sound but when I put it in vibrate mode, it does not vibrate.
I want my phone to vibrate when it's vibrate, but when it's on sound I just want it to be sound with no vibration. I know touchwiz had a setting where you could set vibrate to just silent mode, but I do not see that in AOSP. Am I simply missing a setting or is there an app that will allow me to override vibrate and make it vibrate when I want?
Thank you.
