I don't understand the reason for different Governors. - HTC Sensation

Hey, I really don't get why there are different Governors. Why isn't there just one? A governor that provides good battery life but gives snappy performance when necessary. I don't know which one I should use myself as I don't really know anything about them except "performance" is top speed 100% of the time. Any detailed thread on Governors? Thanks.

I overclocked my sensation to 1.566 and its stuck.

I overclocked my sensation using app no-frills and I want to declock my phone and its stuck on 1.566 I can't get it back down to 1.2.Does anyone have any suggestions? If I installed a faux kernel would that help. It's killing my battery.I have a 1900 mah battery and I have to competely charge it twice aday.any grip please...

Remove the no frills app.Buy Setcpu off the market (or find it for free on here using search) install it and choose a lower frequency then set on boot,Also check what governor you are using as "performance" or "on demand" are performance biased.I'd use lagfree or conservative
Hey how do you get set CPU free of here?how does that work and thanks for the info and yes I uninstalled no-frills a week ago.

Simple Google search: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=SetCPU
4th link down.
The UI pretty self explanatory. Move the slider up or down to change the speeds.

Please reference this post.
test system tunner ...
available in market
I wasn't saying use google to get "Warez" simply that MHuang made it free to XDA users in the G1 forums years ago and as far as im aware he still does!
To the OP,
You are obviously quite new to the device,I suggest trolling the forums for the sensation (Q&A,General) and read the posts. It'll take a while but ALL the info you will ever need has probably been asked before
Don't ask the same things over and over please op

Woops I was wrong about faux and Aosp I forgot that he made one the latest version is here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/4570-ope...rue-dual-corepower-savingsapr-22/#entry621010 just that I have never used the kernel I usually use tam core or bricked for aosp.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Do bricked and tamacore kernels gives your better battery life or performance?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio using xda app-developers app
Could you recommend a bricked and tamacore kernel for battery life and also a bricked and tamacore kernel for performance. Thank you for your time...

I would say use both and see what's best for you but for settings, badass for battery and on demand for performance.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Hi , give them both a try and see what you like the best. I've not had great luck on battery with faux but that don't mean you won't. It's always best to see what works for you. There are so many different variables between users that it's best to see what you like. For me my focus is battery life and I've seemed to have better luck with bricked for that but others might disagree. You see it is how you feel about it and the results you personally have gotten and your own goal weather It's battery or performance It's always best to decide these things for yourself. I wish you the best and hope you find the kernel that suits your needs. Sometimes it takes experimenting with different ones to find what works best for you. Best wishes!
Tamcore for me was a battery drainer but that doesn't mean you won't love it so experiment, experiment , experiment! See what YOU like the best..

Any way to turn off Capacitive light on the HTC Sensation?

Hey guys, I want to turn off Capacitive light for my Sensation. It drains battery, and I think it makes the CPU hotter or it runs hot itself. Just a guess. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I see that you have already reposted this question in the Sensation forum, so please click on the little report triangle in the first post here and request that a mod close this thread, then click on the dropdown box and choose Thread/Post maintenance, then submit. Thank you.
I would also suggest that you read these two threads:

Sorry man. I'm new to the forums I think I know how this works now. I've been using XDA for a while and I decided to sign up. It's just that the app on android is painfully confusing and hard to use.

No problem, I understand. You can't report using the app, only through the browser, so I will request it for you.
Thanks, you're the best!

Network Booster

Hi, I use Network Booster for a short time and I can't verify the real gain of a better speed/connection. Can you post your experience in that kind of applications? Thank you!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda app-developers app
Only booster that works IMO is the Cell-Fi booster that cell companies like Tmobile can give you for free if you meet certain criteria. This is used solely at a one family home.
You mean that boosters sold in Play Store aren't efficient ?

Sorry I haven't personally tried so I cannot comment on them. Normally the radio's and your location are what you would normally look for to work best for you. Have you flashed other radios yet?
No my phone isn't rooted, but I expect to read more in order to root it. My hboot is 1.27. and I read that it's a little complicated. Maybe you could give some help . Thank you anyway.
