i have a few questions regarding my tablet and im hopeing some can help me. here i go
my mother bought me a tablet. im a pc guy but know nothing about linux and from what i read its basically it. the first problem is how can i find my tablet brand name type i know its called Mid. i am happy with it tbh it runs well and does what i need of it too which is browse the net and have pretty wallpapers atm . soon i want to get a odb program to plug it into my car as i have the hardware to do it and i know it has some software out there to do it. im having issues with play store saying cant verify my account or something to that effect due to me having a samsung galaxy ace and loggin in on my tablet is not being recognised so it wont let me download . even tried creating a new account and that didnt work neither same error. but i can still download on my phone. the tablet model just says softwinerEvb but i cant find much help on that. so my thoughts where to root it back up the o/s then try some stuff incase i broke it lol. but i cant seem to be able to root it. cant seem to back it up . and cant get on to play. not being able to use the play store is my biggest issue. if i could then i would be very happy. i was thinking that maybe changing the o/s might help?? but it seems that its the model its self is not supported?? so can i kinda trick things into working ?? ps i did try something called gapps but it didnt seem to help .

Ok basically I want to get the andriod market or play shop as its now called onto my Black Berry Play Book. My first issue is I cant get the damn thing to down grade. I've been trying to do this for about 7 or 8 hours. I've tried several methods none have which have worked. My BBPB is currently version 2.0.07971 and I'm trying to down grade to 2.0.0.4869 so I can root it and put the android market on here.
Can anyone who has gone from my BBPB version to the one i want tell me how to do it please?

I decided to stop using my SGS2 and got a acer iconia a200. So I love it it is grerat the battery life kicks ass. I havent even rooted it or anything. Anyway the only thing that it does not do is for some reason the sirius xm app in the market is not compatible with it. This is really fustrating for me because I use it all the time so now I have to carry around my phone still just for that. I can go on dolphine browser and use the sirius xm flash loader app in the market but then I cant use the tablet for anything else if I shut off the screen or go to anything else the audio stops.
I was able to extract the .apk out of a nandroid for my t989 and get it running on the acer but it wont play. It lets me sign in but then it wont go any further. The next thing I will try is to put ICS on my G2x and install it then extract it from therere because it is a tegra 2 just like the acer but I dont think that will work either.
So does anyone have any ideas on how to get this done? Anyone who can get this done will be rewarded nicely. I'm sure it is not that hard for someone who knows what they are doing unlike me. Just pm me or send me an email and let me know.

Well I got it to work and then the next day it showed up in the market. They were updating the app which I knew but I didn't realize that they just did not get to the tablet version yet my friend who could not get it on his was able to go to the market and get it. So problem solved.

I bought my first Tablet: Proline Smart AK888-13 (Please Google for it)
It's unfortunately a rebranded device sold under the Proline South Africa Brand.
Google Play reports I have a: Rockchip QPAD9700
Google however finds a few online store listings with no further information.
I tried visiting the Rockchips.com website, but did not find the Tablet listed there, as it seems they only manufacture the Chipset or CPU or some hardware which I'm not certain of.
I am really pleased with the device I have and I can't complain with it's features. I bought it for 1200 ZAR and due a shipping mess up I got upgraded from a 7" to the 9.7" free of charge.
I have a ZTE MF190 USB Modem that I would like to use on the Tablet with the supplied OTG Cable and this is the reason I have registered on XDA Developers in hopes of finding some assistance.
Currently when I connect the modem the Tab reports the SD Card is corrupt and needs to be formatted. The modem works perfectly on my PC running Windows 7 and I'm not going to format it.
I read online from a few friends that I should attempt using PPP Widget on Google Play, I downloaded it on the Tab and now the Widget needs Root Access.
I don't know how to Root the Tablet, since I don't what Tablet I have and I don't know want to mess up my device a mere week after I received it.
I would appreciate any advice or guidance.

So is there a way for me to create a backup of my firmware/rom or whatever you call it and then start playing around?
As i said. My mind says, start by identifying what you have, then do the rest. Does it work that way or not?

Thanx for the input samsammobile but I've softbricked the tab. It was rooted with kingroot. It was a proline H7516R. (Rockchip RK3126). If you know of a rom that i could flash it with please let me know. Thanx
Hi , im new here and really need some advice.
I purchased a Z3 this week and bought it second hand , even though it is new but without box. I found out it has the dreaded demo app installed because i think it was ex-display in a phone shop. Once i plug in the charge it deletes my photos,contacts,apps etc. and comes up with the demo video. Iv'e tried the codes people usually use and done something else using the computer someone suggested ,but nothing works. I was thinking about rooting the phone but after looking on forums i can't seem to find anything to explain how to root it or even if it's possible yet because its a new phone. Iv'e tried to delete the app it has but it just keeps coming back. So need to find someone way that is like rooting the phone to get access to delete it permanently. I think you guys all know Pokemon GO... I'm from germany, so I had do take the APK. The problem about this was, my phone is a Galaxy S3, so Android 4.3 cap.
Long story short, i rooted it and flashed cyanogenmod on it, so i have 4.4.4, even changed the Kernel so it can run smooth.
And it did worked out. So the last days i was playing Pokemon go all day long and was having fun.
Now the problem:
Today, Pokemon GO came out to the Android App Store, and I want access to the regular download with updated coming in frequently, without installing every update manually (ok to be honest, I think all this took me much more time then I ever would need to download and install all future updates of this game, but I am pretty lazy)..
The App Store just tells me I dont have access to it with my device.. So I googled again for hours..
I used Market Helper and hoped I get access.. nope.. I changed the build.prop so my phone now "is a galaxy s5".. doesnt work either.. and yes, i deteled cache and files frequently, restarted the phone..
So right now I'm desperate and have no idea how to fix this problem. I hoped someone in here has had the same problem or knows how to fix it..

Having exacty the same problem. Even tried market helper. Btw, I am running the s3 with the newest cyanogen nightly (1 week old) and Android 6.0.1.
Maybe the playstore checks for stuff like available ram, and that is the reason why it is not working. Our phone only has <1GB and the game wants phones with >2GB as far as I know.
