Hey,
When I answer the phone, or call someone, the other person cannot hear my voice, at all. It can work sometimes, but most of the time it does not. I have been unable to trace the common factor in the problem, especially since the "Mute" option can still be toggled, as though it were not already on.
The only fix I have found is to put myself on speakerphone. Once I do this, the other person is able to hear me correctly.
I am currently running Aeon v1.4 on my Samsung Infuse 4G (I997).
Can anyone help me out with this problem?
It is common to need to toggle the speaker on/off on the first call after flashing a GB Rom with voodoo lagfix.

I first flashed the ROM in mid November, and the voice only goes through while speaker is on, not after it is toggled.
Also, since flashing my ROM and switching to Aeon, I can no longer use speed dial. Anytime I go to dial the shortcut number, I get the invalid MMI code and have to manually type in the full number.
Thanks for your help, I hope I can get this figured out.

I am annoyed lately that whenever I get a phone call the volume of the person speaking is so gd loud. I turn in all volume all the way down and its still too loud. Anyone have any idea why this is and if there is a way I can fix it..

I have the same problem... Also had problem on the DINC. What you can do is go into the call settings and turn on hearing aids and that will actually help with the volume it lowers it a little...
Don't ask me why but this is an issue with the HTC's
Have you tried downloading audio manager from the market? Its a free app that allows you to change volume settings and for me it has been more accurate than the built in sound settings.

I have tried that and it did not seem to help as much as turning on hearing aids.
I think is not loud enough. I find myself trying to turn it up after is all the way up.

I am having the same problem on my rooted Thunderbolt.... any ideas how to fix it other than turning it all the way up on a call then turn the volume down? kinda gets annoying..
I agree, the call volume is very loud even though I have the volume turned all the way down. Doesn't bother me too much though...
If you're using BAMF by any chance...
I had the same problem on BAMF Remix. After flashing the patch to remove the call recorder, it has been working perfectly.
flash a differnet kernel. some have an audio "enhancment"
where can I find this? I would like to try it. =)

Whenever I have this problem, I turn it up all of the way and then turn it back down. Works every time.
volume
I flashed the new kernal 4.4.6 with no recorder this morning and it fixed my problem!! I am so happy!!
I also flashed the non recorder version and that cured my way too loud volume. Now I don't have to hold it 3 feet from my ear so I don't go deaf.
Can someone post a link to the patch for removing call recorder please? I find the in call volume way too loud. I've searched through a few hundred pages of different BAMF posts and haven't been able to find the patch.

it's in the first few posts for adrynalyne's froyo kernels (one of his posts).
So do I just install one of his kernels that doesn't have support for call recorder? I still can't find a separate patch to actually remove call recorder. I just want to lower the call volume.
I didn't need to flash anything under the current version of das BAMF. The call volume was way too loud, so I went to das BAMF toolkit, application settings, and removed call recorder.
Problem solved.

I've been using my phone recently, and I just noticed that whenever I talk on the phone, whether or not I had speakerphone selected during the phone call, the sound comes through the speaker.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there any way to fix it? I'm in KD1 deodexed and rooted with Bali kernel uv.
I have had this issue once. Never again, and I didnt to anything to resolve it. I simply floored the phone over (screen facing away from face) and proceeded with the call! If I rememder correctly I was on wifi calling and it was received while in another application (not sure which one). Since it only happened once I just wrote it off. Is it constant for you? What are you doing on your phone when it happens? receiving calls? out going calls? All calls? Are you accessing other apps? More info would be great.
On the moon our weekends are so advanced they encompass the entire week
Its the Ball kernel and wifi calling. Shut off your wifi and the problem disappears.

So it's the Bali kernel...I've since given the phone to another family member who just uses it as a...phone lol. Can I put the stock kernel back on it because he needs both wifi calling and the calling to not go through speakerphone..
My phone is giving a loud ticking static noise when I call people (I hear it on my end, don't know if people hear it on their end)
It happens every other call.
I'm on Infused 1.5.0 and the gtg's community kernel that comes with that rom (I'm assuming that is the kernel that comes with infused anyway).
Any solutions besides trying to flash back to stock or flash a different rom or something to see if it happens there?
edit: ok, friend's phone who is also on at&t (but is an iphone) is having the same issue. Probably the tower being dumb. We did have a thunderstorm earlier.
Definitely a network issue, if it didn't stop, I'd report it to AT&T

i had that recently when i called 611. haven't heard it since tho.
A while back I started a thread without looking around like I should have, it was about the "voice going in and out" during calls. The answer was to turn off noise suppression in settings. This did nothing for me at all. I have run a bunch of tests using stock Rogers, TPC, SKY GB and SKY ICS. In every ROM it is like turning off noise suppression does nothing for me. I call my home phone and leave a message while moving my finger over the top mic (that detects sound for suppression) and every-time I get a fade in and out when my finger goes over the mic.
Here is the very strange part, I DL'ed Sky ICS (the real ICS leak) and when I made the call I turned noise reduction off during the call in the menu and no fading at all, works perfectly.
There are so many talented android peeps on this board and I ask you why the hell is this? Why only in ICS does the "turn off suppression" work? I thought it was hardware but if it was then it shouldn't work even on ICS right? Is there any dialer code or script I could use to turn off noise suppression at the root? My business partners and my girlfriend constanly tell me I am going in and out and its driving me insane.
And to people who say "just use ICS LOL" I prolly will have too I just don't want to. And to make things worse I cannot find a "turn noise reduction off" in the settings on ICS so i have to do it during every call.
Thank you so much for listening to this rant and thanks in advance!

Flash back to stock and use your warrenty(assuming it still applies). My first skyrocket had a bad ground on a speaker.

I think i am going to do that. Just very weird that I don't get that in and out effect when I turn off nose reduction in ICS, but the radio makes me sound horrible lol.
Friends,
my phone is a terrible problem that happens often, when I call.
The other phone calls, the person answers, but mine is muted. I, even I hear the ring tone. Just realize that the connection was completed when I see that the phone is counting the time of the call.
The person who called, also not hear what I say.
In this case, I have to hang up and call again to be able to communicate.
Can someone help me?? They know what can that be?
Thankful.

Bad flash or error in rom. Redownload and reflash and if not working contact the dev for support, otherwise flash a different rom.
Did you a GB port? If so it's a known issue. Toggle speaker phone on/off. This will need to be done after every reboot.

Truck / Pony:
Yes, I'm using GB.
Firmware Version: I997UCLB3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-CL366622-I997RUXKG3
Number compilation: GINGERBREAD.UCLB3
What should I do?? I think even turning on and off the speakerphone, not solve the problem.
I'll have to change the ROM? Kernel?
What you indicate me?
thank you!
You can try re-downloading and re-flashing the rom you have that is causing the problem. If that does not work it would be best to download a different rom.
