Nice find. I just installed RocketMIUI when I shifted back to MIUI ROMs recently and it already has SNote working on it so I didn't even realize that this was an issue. lol

I know that og was clearly for MIUI, i only tried since someone asked if it worked on AOKP. I got curious and tried, i even expected that it would not work, but hey it was worth a shot.

Has anyone who has used this also tried Slim Bean? I'm getting a little flash happy and interested in trying some other roms out. Wondering how this compares.
I would try slim bean if I could find the actual download link for it

:request: can someone port and maintain a miui rom please?

I would love you forever. (if it's a guy then no homo)

Given your tenure and from the technical competency I've seen of you I'd be willing to bet you could do a port. There are guides on it i really think you could.

I don't either but all you need is miui from similar device that has active development and cm from our device. Its all file swapping so at most probably 300 to 400Mb of downloads.

Miui v5 isn't worth the time to port until its released for a portable phone. Mi framework is much more complex

Only devices that have it available are Mi 2 Mi-One. There is only 1 port of MIUI v5 out which is for xperia play I think. Its the only port of MIUI v5 out for phones other then xiaomi devices and it has a bunch of issues. I have the last miui v4 build ported but I don't have this phone to test anything since a friend wanted me to port it

Mi-2 and Mi-one = xiaomi's phones that run MIUI natively and are officially supported. They are the only phones in the world right now that have MIUI V5 natively. The framework from those phones are more complex then porting from nexus or any other miui supported phone. I know many miui devs (like myself and others) that will not even bother with porting it until aosp/portable phone gets it. Ibotpeaches a lead developer of apktool and miuiandroid isn't even waisting his time on it since its not worth it yet.

Looks like miui v5 is out of the question but v4 is possible if you wanna port it mtdew.

All those tweaks are available in any cm derivative. And aokp and ROMs like beanstalk have them all then some.
Definitely a power user app however, not for intermediate use at all.
Sad app is sad

I was looking at beanstalk ROM. I've been using PACman. I think I'm a try beanstalk really soon... I am just wondering if I might loose customization... Seems like not! Will use Moretz kernel though. It's a little faster than Marla...

Your thread going a bit off topic now but, I couldn't answer that honestly. Haven't run PAC in quite some time. Best bet is to just give beanstalk a try.
