For anyone using the Jellybam ROM, can you please try answering these questions? I am using the 12/15 build:
1) Is it possible to revert the "Settings" display so it is the scrolling menu type instead of it being split?
2) When typing very long WiFi passwords, the password seems to be clipped off at the screen's edge and the password can no longer be seen. Can this be fixed?
3) The AOKP ROM Control for Performance doesn't seem to work correctly for CPU settings when Set on boot is turned on (it doesn't set on boot). However, the Set on boot under Settings -> Performance seem to work correctly.
4) When adding a widget on the homescreen, the text there seems to be white (cannot be seen). If you hold-tap the item, you can see its description, but goes back to white once you release the tap. Can this be fixed?
5) I seem to been having wake lock issues when using this ROM under the Smartassv2 governor. When I do this with a min of 192Mhz, the phone seems to be always awake despite Wifi is off, airplane mode is on, and auto sync is turned off. Any ideas why this might be? Do you think this is an application bug, kernel issue, or something else? (I am using rohan's b6 kernel now). I don't remember seeing this when I was on dirty rom's stock kernel.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Also to add:
6) The input selector seems to be on despite it being unchecked under Settings -> Language & input -> Selector notification. Is there another setting which may have turned this on?
7) For AOKP, there is a toggle for Tether, however, this seems to be USB tethering - is there another way to have a toggle for WiFi AP? I know the Cyanogenmod power bar has this, although the buttons seem a lot larger than the ones in AOKP. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I guess I figured out these:
6) Looks like there is also a Show IME Switcher setting inside AOKP settings - disabled that and it went away
1) Seems like the setting was called Dual panel inside AOKP settings
2) Looks like the settings were messed up on the Paranoid settings for the Settings app - did a Reset on that and it seemed to have cleared up.

Hey, has anyone managed to get WiFi not to get turned off when the phone goes into sleep mode?
I am trying to get VOIP to work on the phone and because of the auto-sleep feature during a phone call (which I have managed to turn off according to this thread though with a possible caveat of decreasing the sensitivity of the GSensor in GSensor enabled applications), WiFi gets killed off and there goes the call.
I've tried some of the settings outlined in this thread to no avail. I would prefer not to have WiFi killed off when the phone goes to sleep though.
OK never mind. I've solved the problem by myself.
These are the registry keys to change from 4 to 0: (probably works with 1 as well - haven't tried them)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Resuming\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Suspend\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Unattended\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
The setting to do this is part of Scapps Advanced Config and works brilliantly
I couldn't find it under Advanced config. Found it under Diamond Tweak though.
And apparantly "1" works as well.
There's a checkbox under Menu - More settings - Connections in AdvancedConfig.
Sorry if this is been asked before. But I can't find why latest nightlies don't have CMParts > Display > Automatic Brightness customisation settings like RC1. Also if i use an app like GPS Status that shows brightness levels, it shows no readings.
Any ideas why? is brightness broken on G2x is that why these settings were removed?
Sorry but I am also new to CM7 so not sure what worked or didn't work before, but I tried flashing RC1 and when I went to those brightness settings it showed both raw and filtered brightness values as -1 all the time. So something seems wrong.
Settings>display>brightness
I know that one but the one through CMParts allows better control and custom levels as I had gotten used to on another CM7 device
What's CMparts?
You mean Spare Parts?
No I mean Cyanogenmod settings / display / auto backlight

Haven't loaded up cm7 for a couple weeks now so I can't check it for you. Did you try asking in the cm7 thread?
Yeah I tried didn't get a reply.
Also seeing some weirdness where brightness returns to the value before "Auto Brightness" was ticked in normal android display settings when transitioning between screens in some apps. E.g. GPS Status, if i go to Menu > Settings it goes to the level before clicking Auto Brightness, then if i hit back, it returns to the automatic value. .
has anyone heard of an app called go power master? it is from the makers of go launcher ex. i really like the app because it allows you to set different presets with different options such as wifi on and bluetooth off while i am at work. the one thing it is missing is to keep the screen on at all times. i use that when i am driving so i can have google maps open and have latitude track me.
does anyone know of an app that is like power master but has the option to leave the screen timeout to never?
Settings Profile
There is an app called settings profile.
I have it for example set conditions like:
- If on cell tower (defined by location)
- Not on ac
- Not running profile
= Set Home off charger Profile
If:
- Not at home (opposite location from above)
- USB or AC power
- Not running profile
= Set Car Profile
Running profile i set manually.
Running profile for example is wifi off, bluetooth on, time out never, music volume 80%, notification sounds 0.
I think thats what your looking for. You can backup also so when you re install your rom you can do a simple re install.
Note: Must have widget on desktop so that it gets loaded into memory on boot. Otherwise you would have to open it each time (or so it seems with One X.)
I found one. I had elixir2 installed already and didnt know that they support profiles and it includes a never have the screen timeout

Somehow I screwed up my Bluetooth settings when I turned it off to save battery life. Now when I go into settings - wireless there is no option to turn in on ( no wireless devices found). I then went into the services area I try to turn it Bluetooth services on but keep getting errors about the dependency services and / or the account for this service is different than the accounts for the dependency services. I tried to correct this by these dependent services do not allow to make changes.
I also tried to open bthprops.cpl but this did not open .
Can someone export out their registry settings from the registry or make recommendations as to what else to try to change this.
Thanks in advance
I can turn mine off as expected, and like you switched it off to save battery, not tested to see how much it saves but still..
Is it still in device manager?
You've probably deactivated your Bluetooth in device manager, so this is what you do. (sorry if you a lady know how but this is for people who don't know)
Right click on 'My Computer'
Click 'Manage'
On the left hand side there will be a tab called 'Device Manager' click it.
Then find Bluetooth and enable it.
I think Bluetooth really needs work on the RT OS, because it's stupidly hard to turn it on and choose different hardware.
Nope, wasn't in the device manager.
Was gone, tried to activate the Bluetooth services, this didn't help.
Not sure how it just disappeared.
Did a reinstall of just the files, without losing my settings . All is good now.
I know that I won't be turning this off.
I wish there were apps that toggled the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth settings , Display brightness etc. It's cumbersome to go into settings and drill around to find these settings all the time. Would be ideal to have this as a tiled feature so it's easily accessible.
Thanks for the suggestions as this issue is now closed.

Agreed, I also wish it was in the charms bar to make it easier. Also there is no easy way of making the sound go to Bluetooth speaker... you can't click devices... which pisses me off.
am I missing out on something?
you can adjust the brightness and wifi settings right from the charms menu and you can even deactivate bluetooth using the airplane mode... what's missing?

How many steps do you need to go through to get to the Bluetooth settings ( I count 4).
Swipe Charm, press settings, press change pc settings, press wireless, then swipe the toggle
I just want a live tile that I can toggle Bluetooth or any other settings that I have to drill down into charms to get at.
Win+i -> Networks -> Airplane Mode. If you don't have a keyboard, the first step becomes Swipe for Charms -> Settings. If you're already on the desktop, the first two steps become "click the WiFi indicator in the system tray".
Don't get me wrong, such rapid-toggle stuff would be cool, but I spend almost all my time on the desktop or within very easy reach of it, and very, very little time needing to switch wireless networks on or off.
Hi all!
I have noticed that in most lollipop based ROMs I've tried backlight dims based on screen content. When the image on screen is dark enough the screen brightness drops slightly (or rather jumps down). It's not that noticeable while brightness in settings is set relatively high, but on lower settings it's extremely annoying. It's even more annoying when the jump occurs while scrolling through a webpage! ('cause it happens there too!)
The easiest way to reproduce the problem would be to open the Settings app (preferably using default theme) and slowly sliding notification drawer down. Sliding it back up won't always bring back the brighter.... well... brightness, however a quick slide down and up from status bar should. Sometimes closing the notification area slowly would result in brightness jumping back up. Just give it a try and see...
Another easy way to experience this issue is to set a dark (or even not that dark) wallpaper (happens with this one for example), clean up that homescreen and open and close Chrome (from launcher's dock) repeatedly.
It happens in (doesn't matter if installed in internal memory or internal mass storage):
BlissPop, CyanideL, CM12.1 nightlies, EuphoriaOS, EOS, DirtyUnicorns
It doesn't happen in:
CM11, CM11s, CM12s, (and surprisingly) AOSPA-L and XenonHD
Why is that happening? How can the issue be fixed? It makes every great ROM unusable for me (and therefore I'm basically stuck on CM11s). Don't get me wrong, both AOSPA-L and XenonHD, are great but they are missing a thing or two )
It's a power saving feature. It's called CABC. You can disable it with certain kernel tweaking apps. I have ak kernel with synapse, and there's an option to disable. I always keep it enabled.
Wow, man! That like... saved my One from KitKat forever... Thank you sooooo much! But... where do you know that from?
