Thanks. It's just stuff I've found around xda - just trying to keep it all in one place. The real work came from team members who shared their knowledge.

Just booted it up. That's pretty darn awesome. Does 2.3.5 get rid of the 3d app drawer, or is that just how it is right now?
Great to hear this...for future roms!
Booting =/= working.

I've been busy tinkering away with HTC's mini DSP that controls the sound mode on HTC models. I have a desire HD and so it has Dolby mobile and SRS built in. I have been porting this for use with any device.
Everything is working, right up to applying the option:

(This is on my Archos 80 G9 tablet)
The only reason I can think of is possibly that when I attempt to pull or copy the files "htc-acoustic" and "codec_aic3254" from the /dev folder on my desire HD, it throws excuses and fails. I only ever get files that are 0 bytes. I put them in anyway btw.
I would like some devs to help me get this working, as when you apply these, your sound quality improves dramatically.
You can grab the files here: (not flashable, but in the right structure)

Hi,
I would like to ask people on XDA to do me a favor. And I would greatly appreciate it if they could do this for me. I have a blog and YouTube going and I really would like you to give me feedback, what is good?, what you didn't like and what you want improving. I have had people who gave me feedback from before and I have followed through with it and now I have a sponsorship from Samsung. But I really need a lot of feedback and it will be greatly appreciated.
To the moderators, this is not advertising, this is help as I really just need feedback.
My website : www.theandroidcity.wordpress.com

They are also found in my signature.
Thanks

Kinda wonderful would be able to install as a user app from gingerbread onwards.
My understanding is you need to be rooted and on ICS and then install to system apps and then fix permissions.

No go for me either, running BlackDragon 4.5 I get immediate FC every time. Tried superficial remedies to no avail (cache wipe, fix permissions, etc). Has anyone else tried Iris? It's worked pretty well for me as an alternative.
So its working for me now randomly .. its pretty cool

That's better.
No, you have to be careful to only flash kernels made for our device. I've never heard of that kernel, if you link it I can tell you for sure.
Additionally there are some specific to TouchWiz or aosp roms, you have to flash the correct one.

Yea talk to a buddy over in the get forum [where I came from] and he told me same thing you said so I guess I'll have to keep looking for a good stable kernel

Kernels are based on the device. If you are using a touchwiz rom then flash a touchwiz kernel if using an aosp rom then flash an aosp kernel. now that aosp kernels (4.4.2 kernels) are now universal you can check out kernels from other s3 varients as long as the developers updated it.
