Hello,
I want to buy Samsung Stratosphere 2 SCH-i415 from someone who got it from Verizon.
I don't live in US and I want to use it in other country. If I unlock it - can I use it with any mobile carrier?
Thanks

You should be able to, but getting it unlocked is the trick. There aren't really any services that do it and it can only be unlocked on 4.0.4, so if you are on 4.1.2, you would have to downgrade (which didn't work very well for me).

Dear friends, i need your help about something.
I have bought a USA version galaxy s3 that is said to be unlocked for GSM, the model number is GT-I9300MBDDBT
Maybe i was too hasty to order the phone before getting more information about it's version.
I live in EUROPE will this model work in Europe without problems? or should i cancel my order, i also want to use the 3G.
Please help me , i still have the option to cancel the shipment :crying:
I'm pretty sure that's a European phone not a USA S3

This. The GT-I9300 is the international edition of the S3.

The full details of the GSM capabilities of the Verizon GS3 have not been released, but preliminary details indicate it will work in Europe (or any other GSM serviced area) for voice, but will be limited to Edge data speeds. As I said, this is not confirmed.

Yeah we know that, but his model number is the international version. Not US.

Supposedly all USA variants do not have Samsung Dive (aka remote wipe/find from Samsung) Is there a way to add this to the Verizon version?

Not that it helps with getting the app much but I just use Lookout
Lookout charges for remote wipe, Dive doesn't and should be included as a Samsung product.

if its a app, then a international user should be able to extract it & then post it
Bump. I'd like this too.
Bump! Same here!
I have the AT&T version which is locked but I want to get an unlocked version of the GS6. Which one is the best to get? International? T-Mobile? I want the one that has the most support on the development side.
I think the G920F (s6Flat) or G925F (s6Edge) would be the best, because I've seen some kernels just for the international variant and no other. Plus, it's compatible with all if not, most roms. made for the S6. It' s (I think) the cheapest too. Although, I'm not too sure about network bands and compatibility with AT&T.
I have a g-925f, the edge unlocked. Works great on AT&T. Just keep in mind that you aren't going to get samsung pay on an international unlocked model. Learned that the hard way.

I don't care about Samsung pay. I will get the regular 920F since it's got the most support.

If I'm right, most G920F roms, kernels, and recovery's should work the the G925F. So both have equal support.
Or should I get the nexus 6p?
I bought the S6 from B and H Photo online store. The phone is carrier and region unlocked which means it will work anywhere in the world. It came with no bloat except ANT radio which I disabled. It's a G920i from Australia and came with Australian wall charger but I called the store and they sent me a US travel charger for free. B and H is good for customer satisfaction.
I'm currently in the US on Verizon with a Droid Turbo 2 that I can't stand. I move to Korea in a couple months and was looking at purchasing the unlocked (snapdragon) s7 to use until I move and also pop in a Korean sim card when I get there. Will this work or ford only the unlocked international (exynos) model work in Korea? Any help would be great. I really want to drop this turbo 2, haha.
I believe u would have to 7nlock your phone by buying an unlock code for your korean carrier (SKT, KT, LGT)

Yes it will work because the unlocked model is sim unlocked, but not sure what LTE bands your Korean carrier will use so you might want to check that. Also, samsung phones are known to be region locked until you use the phone for few minutes in its original market. May be when you buy the unlocked model in US, use it for a day or so just to be safe that it's not region locked.
Personally I would go to Korea and buy the exynos version since that's the better version, you will have local warranty, no issues with radio bands missing etc.
