[Q] Google Music Manager cannot identify my Skyrocket for uploads - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I noticed since rooting and flashing CM10 on my Skyrocket that while my desktop can see my phone (it reads it as "SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 Portable Media Player"), the Google Music Manager can't see it. Thoughts?

Confused about market place

I follows the instructions for installing tnt and all went well and I managed to find one app that I use on my droid incredible but several others I could not find and I thought it may have been removed from the app store but I search on my phone and the apps show up but when I search on the modified Gtab (TnT), the search results are empty.
Search on Droid phone for
Synology
or
DS Audio
DS Media
these apps are made by synology NAS Drives and allow you to access the audio or media
thanks for any info

[Q] Android software that would work as a music store and apps. I.E. Itunes, Zune...

I just wanted to know if there was any talk ever about software that would help me manage my phone and maybe that i could get music from?
Use Android Music to manage your music files and Amazon Music to buy the music.
It just seems weird that Google wouldnt do that especially with this device I saw called the Samsung Galaxy 5. When I found that, it prompted my original question because it is marketed as a music player.
I read somewhere they are working on adding a music store to the Google Music app
Sent from my ICS'd Revolt Bryce Device
Check out media monkey. It allow for syncing to android devices. And only runs one background process (when running).. unlike iTunes which runs four at all times.

Missing song and Music info on TAB 2

Can anyone help me with this...
Got my Galaxy Tab 2 w 404 XXBLH2. Running JRiver 17 and WMP12 on my PC and have both Stock, PlayerProand Winamp on my TAB2.
For some strange reason Media Info is missing from my Tab. Using the stock Music player, all the music is there, but half of them are called <unknown>, there is some album art, but not alot. In Jriver, Ive tried both SYNC'ing and Drag and Drop, but the result is the same.
When I use Both PlayerPro and Winamp onn the TAB, all the tracks called <unknown> in the stock player are missing, includes all my Playlists are empty. Videos are ok though. My SGS2 had the same issue, but at least that had UMS mode
Looks like some kind of tagging issue, im not sure any advice.
Im surprised not a single person on here has had the same problem or issues with ICS 404..
It turns out its the mp3 tagging under MTP, it only seems to like tags ID3 v2, so Im going to have to re-tag all 4000 tracks and so are you if you wanna sort it, but Im using MP3Tag, so its not too painful, but very very laborious..
Also, something else I came across in my hunt for a solution, if your having issues with getting the MTP to regsiter, try this:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=19153
then install the Samsung usb drivers, i think their up to v1.5.5.0.
Although my MTP being detected was never an issue, it just appears that you need Tags for some song titles when using MTP. I really hope Sammy override google specs and include a UMS mode in their new JB.

[Q] iSyncr not syncing playlists

Hi everyone!
For all iTunes users, i have my first android phone after depending for 3 years on my iPod, so I was using iSyncr to sync all my music and playlists to my phone (LG Optimus L9). It was working perfectly (I use PowerAmp to listen to my music) until the syncing of the playlists started to fail. I think it was after an iTunes update (but I'm not sure), I run iSyncr, select SD card as always and it starts working blah blah, the music syncs but when tries to sync the playlists it says something like this:
"Syncing Rock... Device couldn't update the playlist"
I don't know why it started to do this, I tried deleting the playlist from the SD and syncing a new playlist but it doesn't work either. It's so annoying because I depend a lot on my playlists, I have 16 gb of music and it's a mess if I don't have it ordered the way i like it xD
Anybody knows any solution to this?

You may try refreshing the Android media storage on your device using this tutorial - http://www.jrtstudio.com/iSyncr/Tutorials/HowToRefreshAndroidMediaCache
If this doesn't work, try syncing to the internal storage and seeing if this is working properly. For more advanced help, please contact me at [email protected].

I tried refreshing the media storage and not only it didn't work, but iSyncr deleted all the playlists and then it couldn't transfer the new playlists, now I don't have any of them in my phone
I think I'll do a hard reset soon and see if that works, thanks anyway

I had the same issue at one point and found out that the problem was i had flashed a mod that also disabled the media scanner. I just used a media scanner trigger app from the market and problem fixed. What rom/mods are you running?

I don't have any roms or mods. The media scanner is working, or at least the icon appears, stays for a while and then dissapears.
Solved
Hello again, I finally did a hard reset and spent all afternoon installing the apps and cofiguring the phone and everything is working perfectly. I'm doing a backup now so I have somewhere to go back to if anything weird happens again xD

[Q] iSyncr not syncing a particular playlist

Hi everyone - I had a Galaxy S5 since it came out. When I try to sync my iTunes lib w my phone, all of my playlists show up except 2. I thought this was strange so when I want to listen to them, I use Google Play. Yesterday I got a brand new Galaxy S5 Active, factory fresh. I did the same sync and everything showed up.... except my 2 play lists. Any idea whats happening here? Thanks.
