I need a cheap charger that can fully charge my nexus 4 at least 1 time. Not looking to spend a whole lot. Anybody have any recommendations? Sorry if I posted in the wrong section. This just seems like the most reasonable place to put it

Do you mean like the portable extended battery? or a travel charger.

Like one that is a battery that chargers your phone. Idk what exactly to call it, maybe a power bank?

It's an external battery, there are a number of threads discussing them.

A third and better choice:
The 2100 MAH Samsung Galaxy Nexus extended battery. See this thread:

I got two of the Anker 2025's, and am pretty happy with them. But, I wanted something I could grab between work meetings, etc. These batteries are stable and cheap, around the same amount of run time as the stock battery
If you're looking for something that offers more talk time I'd go for the nexus battery

It bulges a bit
FYI, zerolemon will be releasing a battery case for Nexus 4 with removable battery capability around late April confirmed by their customer rep. Guess there's some hope for N4 users looking for more power
Anymore info on release dates/official announcements

probably gonna be around 49.99 or more up to 99.99, I don't see a point of paying more than 100$ for a charger case while i could get a 40$ juice pack around with me
Hope we get some info on this soon

I recall seeing three different capacities, presumably different sizes as well.
I don't know how a battery case will work with the nexus 4. Battery isn't removable (consumer-wise). So will it be a case that plugs in to the USB port? Or..
Will it be a chargeable case, with Qi Wireless charging capabilities? *dundundunnnnnn*
I don't even know if that's possible lol :silly:
ZeroLemon battery cover for LG Nexus 4
As it turns out if you go to the full web site it shows a battery cover for 2100, 2250, and 2600mAh. But if you keep on looking it also has a battery for 8400mAh! But I think that you need to have the cover of one of the previous ones I mentioned roads this.... I will check with Zero Lemon tomorrow. Even so I think this is a great product. As for if it will work with the quick charge dock. I would assume so, but I will ask as well.
Oh definitely interested!
I don't see nexus 4 on the website

Neither do I but it might be because I'm on the mobile version and not the full one. I'll check once I get home

Looks interesting. I think I'd consider one, although to this point I haven't had much trouble getting through a full work day with my N4.
Will I be able to wireless charge my nexus 4 without the official wireless charging dock from Google. Here's my hunch I have an Xbox 360 battery pack charger but its wireless one I picked it up for about 10 quid and its in the garage somewhere and I don't wanna be making a meas trying to find it when I can get the answer on here. Can anyone help me will that Xbox 360 battery pack wireless charger be able to charge my nexus 4.

I don't think so because the nexus 4 uses the qi standard and the charger has to be able to do the same. I got an Xbox myself and I don't think that there was a qi standard 7 years ago.
If I helped you, hit the thanks button.

Thanks I just thought that cause the nexus uses a coil wire and so did my battery back for wireless charging. Thanks for the help

So if I use the original usb cable that came with the device my phone will charge in about 3 or 4 hours. But if i use any after market usb cables it takes 5 to 6 hours I'm trying find our what is the difference between the two cables. Keep in mind I'm using the same oem charger with both cables.

Your stock charger is 2 amps the ones you are using are most likely 1 amp. You need to find other ones that are 2 amps also.
No I'm using the white 2 amp charger. I have narrowed it down to the cable I'm trying to see if there is something diffrent.

Charge only cables vs Charge and data cables. Has been thoroughly discussed in the forums. Go buy a charge only cable and you will see the fastest charging. Just don't try to use it for data. Guage of wires also has a lot to do with how much current can be carried.

Recently my original charger only charges at 700ma vs the original 1200-1300 ma before. Now my phone charges half as fast, which is an annoyance but not a huge problem. Anyone got any ideas?

I had the same problem from day 1 when i received the phone. I contacted Google and they wanted me to send them the complete set of phone and box to send me a replacement. I simply used an older usb charger that came with my older phone.
I think its a quality or defect problem.

Really? How do you see the "absolute" input current? I thought bmw only showed the difference between the charge and drain currents...
