I've run several ICS ROMs since getting my NS and I would definately concur that Codename is fantastic. They're on 1.4 now I believe.
I would definitely try Air Kernel by r_data as well. Its so smooth. Best I've tried yet.

What's the point when burnsra cm10 is nearly bugless and so smooth while having the ability to customize? What're you gaining out of it?

It was a question, All Wise One. Questions are usually asked when someone is unaware. I am "unaware" of any perks there may be for going stock, so I asked. See how that works?

I still have an EVO, evo had froyo forever. I guess omega's answer summed it all up. I suppose my preference is in favor of AOSP.
ICS:
1. AOKP
2. CM9
3. Provision (Right now actually)
JB:
1. CMX (so far only because its probably the most stable JB ROM with 99.8% of everything working)
2. Stock (AOSP)
3. Jellyvision (which will probably shoot up to 1 for awesomeness (I'm entitled to my own opinion, I'm sorry if this offends you))
It all depends on what you want, people view perks different ways. Some are featureholics. Some are minimalistic, just your personal preference.

I've been using the Sky ICS ROM for about 4 months, loving it, works great. Wondering about the Jellybean, also Sky from Seansreamz.
Can anyone who has used both tell me if the Jellybean from Sean is as stable and ready for every day use as the ICS ROM?
Thanks

My experience with the latest T11 base has not been positive. Sean himself has said the T7 base with the matching update was practically perfect ... those can be found on goo.im, if they're no longer available here.
I prefer his newer JB version, his roms have always been the most stable for me regardless of the phone. Solid work!
I've been using Sky JB daily since Sean first created it and have had no problems.

Anyone have an opinion on battery life, Sean's ICS ROM compared to his JB ROM, assuming same usage, same power saving measures?

I have nothing but respect for seanz and everything he has done for our community. He has been with skyrocket for a long time and has contributed SOO much. That said, I haven't had a lot of luck with his roms for a while now. Could just be my device, I don't really know. I have used official Cyanogenmod for a while now and I've never had any issues. They are like butter and so clean.
Since 0.0 is leaving I have seen a lot of people worried about ROM development for the mt4g. I have ported a few ROMs to the mt4g slide because that is my device. Both my wife and daughter have the mt4g. I can port ROMs to this device if there is a demand for it. I need to know more about bugs in the cm ROMs.
Well if your looking for a from to port I'd suggest flinnys cm10 builds in the g2 threads.

Most of the bugs are kernel related. Flashing screen, heating while playing music, etc.
Ordered my Nexus 4 on Nov. 13th. Still waiting.
What we need is a cm 10.1 4.2 ROM port as we have 4.1.2 latest.
Sent from my Mytouch 4g using xda premium
Well 4.2 I'm not sure how you would port it but I assume it would need some kernel edits. I tried porting on top of 4.1 and got a weird log cat.lol. if anyone knows how to or a guide I would give it a shot. I can port aosp ROMs if I have a base to port with.

I can get you a logcat for a 4.2 port, i can give you the port file if you would like. I tried to port it myself, systemUI constantly crashes so the phone is unusuable, i believe its a lib issue.

I don't own the skyrocket but my mom does. She is having some issues with the ROM I flashed long ago so I figure now is a good time to upgrade. What do you suggest for stability and battery life? I don't care which version of android or cutting edge features but I do care about everything working all the time as I live several hours from her and just can't fix things for her at any time.
Let me know what you recommend and why. The more detail the merrier. Thanks!

That is surprising. That's either a compliment to the Samsung devs or an indictment of the ROMs available on xda. Looks like I will try mohan_kr's 4.1.2 UCMC1 AT&T official stock odexed unless someone has a better suggestion.

I believe what he's meaning is since you can't up and drive down the street to fix her device, you should stay as close to bone stock as possible. I keep my mom rooted with custom recovery only so I can back up the device data in case of hardware/software failure. But she is bone stock at&t 4.1.2, which was a huge leap of change from 2.3 for her. She is 16 hr drive from me.
My wife has this phone and I've found the easiest to transition into android has been MIUI ROM for her. Everything is pretty stable and has the general functionality needed.
Not the latest and greatest since it's on 4.1.2, but works well.
