[Q] Baseband , Build number why important? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I just got my N8000 and i havebeen reading how root it. My baseband is XXALI3 and my build number is XWALI4, I havent been able to find what region is that.
That aside, with this BB and firmware, once I root, can I flash any stock or custom rom?
May be this is a rookie question, and Ive had 3 other android devices before, root and flashed them all with custom roms. BUT I just want to make sure.
Thanks

[Q] Do some custom or stock Roms are baseband included ?

Hello every one, i want to ask if Roms can be Baseband included ?
Example: if i got an HTC with an Asian Baseband, can i install Roms "Based on EU Stock Rom" for the same HTC model?
Because i have read on some forum threads that if you install different region basebands you could get some trouble or even a brick.
Does some Roms include Basebands ?
I'always make sure to install Roms made for my device model and i always follow the instructions, but now i'm a little afraid after i'have read about this thing.
And if you want to upgrade or change baseband, do you need to have only S-OFF or you can do it with S-ON "Unlocked" ?

[Q] Stock 4.4.4

Hi all, it's been awhile since I've done any ROM flashing (older phones) so I'm a little rusty now. I'm currently root, unlocked, CWM with stock 4.1.2 (never flashed any custom ROMs on my S3). I'm wanting to get closet to stock 4.4.4 as possible. Can I use the Nexus 5 4.4.4 firmware on my phone? Or will it not work due to it being GSM?
If this won't work, can anyone recommend a ROM of the latest android version that is closest to stock as possible? Thanks.
I wouldn't recommend flashing anything on an s3 that isn't made for s3, unless of course you happen to like buying new phones to replace a brick that you made.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Wrong firmware = BRICK
Before you flash ANYTHING read, read, read,...then read some more.

The current CyanogenMod 11 nightly builds for the "d2lte" device are mostly-stock Android v4.4.4 and very solid on this device.

Gummy also runs great. You can find it in the android development section.

[Q] Rooting Galaxy S4 with CF-auto-root (Canada)

I couldn't find a solution too specific to my phone, but was mostly just wondering, Does anyone know if the newest CF-auto-root is compatible with a Canadian SGH-I337M; Ver 4.4.2; Baseband VLUFNE1 on the MTS network? if so, where is a safe download source of the .tar?
And if not if there is anything that is compatible? Keep in mind im not looking to flash custom roms, i essentially want root to use rooted apps and all the devince freedom that comes with it. essentially a basic root. Also Ive previously rooted my S2 and an old motodroid so theres no need to review the rooting process ive got that down.
Thanks, any and all advice is appreciated!

Can someone suggest a ROM that will definitely be compatible with my G920F?

I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes custom ROMs. I was an avid flasher when I had my S2 but things seemed to be a bit more straightforward then. I've been waiting for the MM update for what seems like forever and simply can't wait any longer so I rooted my S6 with the intention of just flashing a MM ROM. But I'm struggling to find a ROM that I can say for certain is compatible.
I'm not asking for the best ROM, I just want one that won't screw anything up. Thanks in advance. Device details below.
S6 G920F. Rooted with Unikernel v8-0002. TWRP 3.0.2-0.
Baseband: XXU3COI9
Build #: XXU3QOJL
