Same here. I bought a Zeki 4.04 Tablet TB892B FID: CF and I am dying to get google play on it but it seems like I am the only person with the 8" Zeki...I can't find anything on it. Ugh. I recently rooted my ZTE Warp Sequent but I haven't had any luck with this Zeki Tablet.

A cursory glance through google search brought up your post on this forum and the announcement about the device. I will look further into this for you however my suggestion would be to look at the usual rooting applications such as superoneclick and if the device isn't listed as being support try and contact the applications developer. Short of that I don't really have much else to tell you at this point.
Has anyone had luck with rooting the MID7042. Would love to install google play and flash on this device. Great device but lacking these two items sort bring it down.
Found both apk from a search and they install fine, but close upon opening. Guessing they need superuser permissions.
Its hilarious when I Google "roor android" yer number one hit!!!

Managed to get tablet into recovery mode while plugged in. Any way to root it from there?
Hold volume up button and home button while pressing down power on, released on coby splash screen.

The last post on this thread is from a few weeks ago. I just bought one of these recently, and was really annoyed that it does not come with the Android Market, etc. So far, I have been able to overcome that via a blog post; do a google search for Red7's blog on installing the android market on coby kyros mid7012.
This would allow you at least to have the market. There is also a youtube video shown in that post, which talks about some additional way to get Google Play working, and it also states some people reporting problems with the apk's posted there.

Do anybody know how to install the Android market( Google Play) on the Zeki Tablet?? I have found former threads but their either not descriptive enough for me or im not able to find something that they have mentioned. Can someone please help me install this on my zeki with as much descriptions as possible.....i would be soo thankful
I have a Zeki TB892B that is bricked. I see lots of posts that suggest putting the TB782B ROM on it. I did that but the screen is messed up.
The ROM thinks it is a 7" screen and displays the screen as 7" with a wrap-around of the last inch. Basically, the first inch at the top and side is duplicated. This is so distracting that I cannot use the device.
I would be happy if:
1. Someone told me how to change the screen resolution to 8" so the screen fits. or
2. Provides ANY ANY ANY ROM that works with the Zeki TB892B or
3. Provides an up to date ICS or similar ROM that is rooted.
Can someone help?

My son has the 8" zeki (tb892b) also. It sucks...is there another ROM that will work on this tablet?

Seems like a common problem- having the same issue need the stock rom as well. Can someone upload or send it via email? my son would be ecstatic to get the tape off the bottom inch of his screen

hi there, ive been trying to get google play on this rooted tablet for weeks and have had no luck..i thought i got all the proper downloads but apparently i was mistaken...also when i do get on googleplay thru my puffin browser i am not able to dnld my apps to my device..feel like im missin out on a lot of stuff!
