I can't seem to figure out how to import contacts (outlook .csv format) into my Universal. I tried to look for an 'import' button, to no avail.
Is this even possible? I can't use active sync because I don't use outlook (i use gmail, which then exports to outlook .csv format). Any help or pointer would be much appreciated! TIA!
Dont think it can be done. best bet is to sync with outlook on your pc... Ive been looking to do something similar - transfer contacts between 2 PPC without using AS... no luck.
Hi Guys
is there still no way to import ICS entries that are sent direct to the phone other than via a PC running outlook?
Is this possible? Even with Bluetooth?
Thanks
Nope, BitPM doesn't work with the Android OS.
Easiest method (the way I did it) is to export your contacts from BitPM to a .csv file and then import that into your gmail account (logged in to gmail on your computer with a web browser).
Your gmail will sync with your Android phone and all our contacts will come down.
hello, i have a doc file with thousands of phone numbers, and i was wondering if there's a way to transfer all those numbers to my android device?
If you set the file format up properly in a csv you should be able to import them into your gmail account on a PC which should then sync to your phone.

I've also seen apps that will export and import CSV files from your SD card. Just search the market for "contacts csv" and you will find several.

Or import those CSV contacts to Google Contacts and clean them up on the PC then your phone will sync them down as you add/change them.
Much easier than trying to do them on the phone manually.
