Sorry couldn't post in correct spot due to post restrictions.
I noticed if you select a specific ringtone for a contact and then delete the ringtone. When that contact calls it stops the android.phone apk instead of switching back to default. Then it just rings on the callers side till voicemail picks up but doesn't ring at all (or display a incoming call) on your phone. It still logs the call in recent as incoming not missed and it doesn't show any missed call notifications.
Hope this helps and isn't already posted (as I didn't read all the posts just bug bullets)...
This was for the 11/15 Leak. Don't know if it was fixed in 11/30.

So I was typing a message this morning when a call came in. Before I even realized it, the incoming call screen popped up and I hit the Decline button. Is there an app or mod or setting I'm not aware of that will keep the incoming call screen from coming up when another app is in use? I read that CyanogenMod has a setting like that. The phone rings and a notification appears but the Accept/Decline buttons don't pop up immediately. Is there a way to get that functionality on a Sense ROM?
I just got a Motorola Droid Ultra XT1080. When it was first set up my phone rang with each incoming call. Then all of the sudden (something I did, I am sure) it started announcing when I got an income text, a feature I didn't want. I played around with it and somehow I got it to stop doing that! HOWEVER, now my incoming calls don't ring at all. I get audible notification when I get a voicemail message, receive texts, facebook and email notifications, etc. I have checked my settings and the volume is turned up, ringtone selected and such. Also, if I call my number from another phone it goes straight to voicemail and (as the caller) there is no ringing - just voicemail immediately.
Can anyone give me advice/input on why my phone no longer rings with an incoming call and why every call goes straight to voicemail???
Thanks!
Sara
ok this is a weird problem
my own fault
phone is the OnePlus one obviously.
have been having ongoing small problem with the dialer, as i use DW dialer.
sometimes when i went to make an outgoing call the stock dialer would also load and i would have to push the call button twice.
small problem but annoying.
so i went into the settings>apps>phone
and cleared the phone setting >launch by default.
this has fixed the outgoing calls problem
however now when i have incoming calls it doesnt bring up the window to let me answer them. the phone kind of hangs while the incoming call is ringing.
i can get back to the home screen. but there is no way to answer the call.
so i need a way to reassign the incoming calls to the phone.
i dont get any notification on the phone itself. just the ringing phone.
there is no way at all to answer the call - cant swipe down.
the only thing i can do is wait for the call to end. then see who is in my missed calls and ring them back.
please help
cheers

I've been having this problem for a few days now. Phone rings but no UI for me to answer the phone call. Any solution to this yet? Thanks.
U have to tell which ROM u r using. There should be some option in settings for accidental phone wake up (Something like that), you have to disable that. Search in the settings.
I have updated to 5.1.1 but problem is its not showing the name when incoming call....only showing first letter of the name how can we find who is calling
I've just solved this problem on my phone - I'd blocked notifications from Dialler:
Settings --> App Notifications --> Dialler --> Deselect Block
Man!! This is a lifesaver. How come this solution is not available elsewhere. Thanks a lot!!!!
The only number I give people is my Google voice number, but recently when I get an incoming call, I swipe to answer and hear nothing, but on the callers end it continues to ring and then goes to voice mail.
I thought it might be the hangouts dialer so I uninstalled it and the problem persists.
I am rooted on stock rom 5.1 and stock recovery.
Ring plus is my carrier(Sprint MVNO).
I'm guessing it is some stupid setting somewhere.
Any thoughts?
So I've been having this problem for a while now. Basically, when someone calls me on Whatsapp, I can hear ringtone but turning locksreen shows nothing. Same thing when I unlock the phone, say for example I am on the home screen, I can hear ringtone, but no pops up notification to tell that a Whatsapp call is taking place.
So, this means: 1) if I'm at the lockscreen and get Whatsapp call, I would have no way to answer or end call. 2) if I unlock and use the phone and the Whatsapp calls come, I also dont know if it is Whatsapp and also cannot swipe down from notification and accept/reject call.
So, I would need to physically open Whatsapp and then it would show a call is coming through and so i can accept/reject call.
Reinstalling whatsapp fixed this problem. However, I believe it is only temporary. My settings: AOD off, Edge Lightning off and does not send notification for Whatsapp.
Does anyone else experience similar problem? Strangely, Whatsapp call is the only thing that causes problem.
