Is there such a thing?

Not that I know of. Features like this have been achieved on other phones through custom kernels. Somebody else here probably knows more though.

You can try flashing the bravia mod. If you're using viper rom it's already installed, you just have to enable it in venom tweaks. I notice greens and reds seem slightly more saturated. In all honestly the difference is practically negligible but I believe that's the closest you're going to get.
Have you tried Screen Adjuster yet? I use it for colour correction to fix the slightly warmer tonality of the One XL screen.

Yeh but it kinda looked ugly loll. I'm not sure if I was using it right xD and OK I'll try the vipermod

Thanks for the app suggestion! Colors look way better.
Brightness: 85%
Green: +2
Blue: +5
Looks pretty good. I just did that in a couple seconds though, may need more adjusting as a watch a video/view pictures or something. You can turn off the notification and set it to start on boot in the settings.

Hey everybody,
Just wanted to bring your attention to an awesome app for all you freshly rooted One X users.
The app is called "Live Logcat" by Chainfire and its function is extremely unique. Instead of a boring HTC splash screen and some tiny colored bubbles when you turn your phone on, you'll be greeted with a peek into the complex coding that is your boot process. Not sure what I mean? Well with this app you'll have a realtime view of what your phone is doing as you start it up.
This app is a treat! Load it up once and hit install, then reboot and watch the magic. You can also add in Chainfire's similar app "Live Dmesg" which adds the functionality of seeing what the hardware is doing at boot up too. You can configure what you want the view to look like in the app, and remove copyright information with the awesome (and cheap) pro version.
I've used this app on my previous HTC phones and I was heartbroken when it didn't work on my G2x. Now with the One X my best purchase is now useful again, and it's still got the gusto.
All rooted users can hit up this link to go to the play store. You will see the mentioned apps on this page. I am in no way affiliated or reimbursed by Chainfire, he is just an awesome dev who happens to make the most unique and useful apps.
Enjoy

That's odd, I had no problems at all. Are you on stock or a custom Rom?

Rebooted to a black screen with capacitive buttons for a minute, after about 2 minutes I got the HTC splash screen and it seemed like it was bootlooping so as soon as I hit the power button to get into recovery I saw the logcat come up. So I waited for that to finish (which took forever, 2 minutes at least) when it finally booted up my phone app fc'd constantly. I'm sure it was one of many tweaks I've applied that was conflicting.
Does this shorten boot up times for you? If so I'll probably give it another go.

Doesn't seem to work on the Asus Transformer Prime (TF201). I simply don't get any output during booting... it does boot up btw, you just don't see anything (just a black screen).
Cool idea though
I think it might just be my phone but everytime i use the physical keyboard in light the led on the keyboard doesnt turn on but when i use it in the dark they turn on. Has anyone notice this?
ERrr I think the light sensor controls that. Especially if you have it to set auto.
Sent from my XT897 using xda premium
Mine does that, think it is a power saving feature. Uses the sensor by the earpiece much the same way as the auto feature with screen brightness.

It is a feature of the phone. I work for the sprint store, and our rep tried to show us that like it was an actual selling point. If you put your thumb on the sensor between the speaker and the camera the light will come on.

Not to my knowledge, at least not on the stock rom. CM7 had settings you could adjust, I imagine when CM9 hits we will see the same.
:edit:
I stand corrected, thanks.

Have you tried the "Productivity" lockscreen in Personalization?
Yeah I tried it, but it is buggy with the Holo Light skin so I want to use the Wallpaper-Lockscreen (the first one, I'm not sure how it's called in English)

what rom are you using?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
Stock unrooted.
To clarify what I mean with buggy: On this skin, the cards in the productivity lockscreen don't have any background, so you can't read anything when you have more than one card, because there's one text lying directly over another.
That sounds absurd, reset factory settings and try again.
It's a problem caused by this specific skin, other users have it as well. Other skins work fine btw. Sadly, I don't know how to change parts of a skin :/

Does anyone know of any app that performs a similar function to MIUI's Guard mode?
What it basically does is, hide your SMS, Call Log, and Gallery photos until you input the pass-code. It does not delete everything, it just hides it until guard mode is disabled. I would like it for those situations, were I'm at work, or visiting my parents, ect... and I don't want someone to accidentally stumble upon something incriminating in my phone while using it.
EDIT: It doesn't not hide the apps, it hides the things in the apps. So for example: I could still send sms without seeing every other sms I have on my phone.
I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for but it's the closest I could find. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock

Extreme darkness is a little invalid. Sure, they light up in the dark, but you can also cover the ambient light sensor at the top of the device and they'll come on.
