Mirroring - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi have just bought a Samsung galaxy note 10.1 N8000 and want to know how can we watch movie (that is mirroring to a tv like with apple ipad). Do we have to buy any cable to do it?

For watching movies just add your tv to the same wifi as your note, for mirroring buy an allshare cast hub.

[Q] Smartshare and DLNA

I wonder how do you use smartshare and DLNA on your phone? Any guide? If I had compatible DLNA compatible device such as TV etc, can I stream our O3D display to that TV(For game, movies etc)? Or is it only play a share files(image, video, musics etc) on that TV?
Thanks.

Thinking of buying smart TV with DLNA. If that the case, then I'll pass. Better buy android TV box or a cheap chinese android Tablet with HDMI is enough to make my current TV a smart TV.
I don't know, i have a lg smart tv and it works fine.
I have my series tv on my phone and i send them to my 60 inch tv with DLNA

I see that smart tv is only a tv with wifi. Not smart enough imo. I though it could replace hdmi for display stream of our phone. Especially a phone with no tv out.

What you talking about. The phone can send 3d videos to smart TVs via dnla, can be connected to TV via HDMI and control your phone from there
It works on Lg TVs Samsung etc.

Samsung Allshare cast (miracast) topic

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Allshare cast is jellybean feature. Allshare cast is miracast. U ether need the Allshare cast dongle or widi 3.5 device. (Widi 3.5 now supports miracast) Allshare cast is WiFi alliance miracast certified. The only phones out now that is miracast capable is s3, note II, and the LG optimus G. If you already have a miracast capable tv like certain Samsungs wifi tv with miracast built in which they call Allshare cast than u use it without the Allshare cast dongle. Samsung dongle, built in miracast tv or widi 3.5 device will work. ALLSHARE CAST IS NOT DLNA STREAMING LIKE ALLSHARE PLAY

I wanted to try this also. I DONT think its possible ATM. If you trying to watch movies or look at pics from the external storage devices, best bet might be to connect the tablet to TV through allcast wireless or DLNA.
My TV doesn't have wireless but I have a Samsung blueray player. I have internet connection plugged into it. So I can connect my tablet to blueray/TV through dlna connection. Works fine like that for me.
+1 wanting this kind of dock. Would be great
Shouldn't be that hard, considering that most other samsung tab/ note products have multimedia docks.
Been hoping to find a solution to the issue for a while.

What model Blu-ray Discâ„¢ Player are you using?????
Best buy USA has a refurbished Samsung Blu-ray Discâ„¢ Player (BD-E5300) that has AllShare for $39.00 free shipping. I was thinking about getting one as a don't have a Blu-ray and I would love to be able to use the Allshare with my Note 10.1.
Thanks for the tip.
Btw can you play games via all share ? And does the dongel need external power ?
Been looking at different workarounds on the usb and hdmi , thus far nothing that's quick and easy.

It just makes me wonder why they wasted the dock connectors on the 7 inch if you can't use them. Should have just put a micro USB on the bottom like most phones.
You could still use DLNA but you will require a tv that supports dlna.

Not sure that will work for netflix and youtube. It does work with video files, picture files and music files.
They have a new DLNA app called Allshare cast. But it only works on these so far. (Galaxy S III, Note II and Note 10.1)
