Copying from PC to tab issue - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Does any one else had problem copying files from PC to tab? I'm using cm10. I noticed after installing cm10 and when I'm copying files small or large the copying stops for no apparent reason. Could it be windows driver issue or an issue with cm10? Thanks

Click to collapse
If you are having issues with Windows 7 and have not tried a computer with XP for example then that is what I recommend you do.

Quadruple files on internal sd

I am running aokp ics. I plugged my phone into the pc and my pictures disappeared on the external sd. I can see that there is space being used but cannot see and pictures or videos. Also i noticed that my internal sd has 4 of every file. Any ideas on why this might have happened.

Yeah it's doing the same thing for me.. It's getting annoying..

I had the same thing but before I installed build 29 I formatted my emmc and it is now still empty after dirty flashing builds 29-1 and 29-1-0402. I had assumed that it was a result of all the roms I've been flashing lately.
Well i guess it's good to know i am not the only one but now i cannot flash anither rom. It says that there are no files while in cwm. Then if i flashed from external it gets stuck looping on lg screen.

Issue with internal sd card

Alright so for some reason my internal card loads, but apps like my music player and photo gallery don't see files. But when I go into my file manager, everything shows. I'm running on CM9 nightlies 8/08 to be exact. I deleted the apps that I updated today and manually cleared out the caches, and the problem still persists. I don't get why everything shows on the file manager. I JUST WANT MY MUSIC PLEASE HELP ME

I should also note that I can play my music from the file manager. Just nothing shows up in stock player or music player pro

Same here, exact problem. Just started today, I got it back but out of nowhere, poof, gone again.
I wonder if it has anything to do with them shutting off Flash support today?

I'm gonna flash some cm10 roms since I haven't yet..Might as well use this as an excuse. I'll let you know if it persists over.

And it persists over to cm10. Something had to happen today for this to happen to both of us on the same day.

I took a picture and added some music files from my tablet, and they all show up. But nothing that has been on there will show up. THIS IS SO WEIRD.

It will be there until you restart then it will be gone again. This is not good. back up your files to your computer asap. I'm guessing our internal cards are about to give up.
Yeah I backed up my pictures already.

There has to be a bad file somewhere on the SD card. It keeps restarted the scan in Storage as I'm watching it every time it hits Misc.

I formatted my internal (by mistake) and its showing pictures I just transferred from my external to internal.

so you see the text "scanning media card" or something like that when you first boot? All I see now is "Preparing Media Card". My stuff is back now after clearing data in "media storage" in the app manager and then running the Rescan Media ROOT.apk but I'm sure it will vanish again like last time.
Just try formatting internal if it happens again. It sucked moving all my music back over but nothing has disappeared

I just read on Rootz that it was a ROM Manager mess up and it's been corrected...
"ROM Manager had an update that messed up a .nomedia file which has now been updated again to fix that. Perhaps that is the cause of your gallery issues?"
"Thanks! That was it. I actually had to remove updates to that app, and reinstall the latest to fix it. Great call."

This fixed it for me. I manually deleted the .nomedia file with a root explorer program, make sure hidden files are viewable if you do this.
Additionally, I had to clear data in Media Storage under settings -> application -> All
Reboot to Recovery and wipe cache partition then reboot phone and everything should be back.
Make sure you update to the latest version of Rom Manager prior to all this.
I'm running SkyICS by Seanzscreams and just ran into the nomedia problem today, so its not an isolated issue CM10

A little problem with space

Hi! As said, I have a problem with space. I installed cm10.1 and it had the correct space but then I installed stock again. I have now 1.97gb. Is this fixed with installing 10.1 again and then formatting system and all and then installing stock?

Anyone?

Btw. I now have Cm10 and it installed fine. The space problem still persists. Going to try installing CM10.1 now and then format system and THEN (again) install stock. Would that work?
Try going into recovery>mounts & storage>format /sdcard. Copy your sd card to your computer first and restore it after.

Accidentally Reformatted SD

So I use use this phone as a play phone since I have a Skyrocket. That being said i really dont want to get negitive comments.
So I accidentally reformmatted the SD card when i was going to update the rom from a 4.1 to a 4.2
The issue that I'm having now is that the phone won't be read by the computer. I've tried 2 different things.
Mounting the usb so I can move over the ROM files and re flash. Didn't work since the computer won't read the phone
Tried using ADB to push the files but same issue. ADB doesn't recognize the phone when plugged in. I plugged in my Skyrocket and ADB recognized it.
Yes I have the drivers installed and to be safe reinstalled them. I'm running everything up to date and can't seem to find a solution for my problem.
If anyone has a solution or give me any other idea I would appreciate it.

Can you mount usb from within clockworkmod recovery?
I tired but my computer doesn't read the phone. Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled and still no luck.

Try the pda net drivers here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9861928 if you haven't already.

I used the Samsung toolbox program and on that you can do a temp boot thing then mount SD card and put stuff like backup back on SD card.

Put phone in fastboot mode and flash Google image. This should fix your phone.
