does anyone who owns SL here and using it (v6) know how to make it to 100% supercharged? i only can get it to 50%....
You need to install new version of service.jar or something. Jellybean's version requires some manual work, either using PC or somewhat. You need to read the original thread thoroughly.

just realised we're KAWANs! Hey I didn't know that there is an existing Malaysian who still uses Galaxy SL
Back to topic: If you're on JB, it will be more difficult; from what I remember you need to patch the service.jar, and copy some other files to make it work.
With all that... I succeeded once and then gave up because I flash new roms too often LOL.
But I do have the patched JB service.jar if you want.

okay, that's the part where i got dizzy a little, i don't know how to patch the service jar.. i'm worried if i did the thing wrong and screwed up my phone.. i'm also always switch swapping between roms.. don't know why.. like a flashing syndrom like that.. huh..
anyways.. share it if you don't mind.. that would be great for me and THANKS a lot KAWAN >.< ...

Not really theming but whatever floats your boat.
actually i'm hesistant to root n load customs roms n kernals cuz i screwed up my milestone doing that .. its just been few days i have this new phone so mayb after some usage i will
have there been ne known issues with loading customs roms on nexus s ?
and is ther a considerable difference in battery life and performance ?

Yes. ROMs increase your battery life due to custom kernels being undervolted blah blah blah [there are 10 other threads about why rooting is beneficial.. im not going to paraphrase all of it. if you want to know, search for it]
Just do it. There are no bricks of a Nexus S unless you're using Odin and flashing things not for your phone. I'd stay away from Odin if you don't know what you're doing. Nexus S is easy to root/modify/play with.
It would be pretty cool to see themes on stock. just saying.

v go to 3rd party sites cuz everyone is not tech savvy .. people like me are still learning .. so if i just follow instructions here i dnt even know what i'm doing or what the next step shud luk like on my screen .. i dnt even knw if im doin it right .. thts y a help with pics or videos is a great help ..
for u it must b a piece of cake but not for all .. yes mayb after rooting it safely n playing with roms then even ill b pretty confident tht i dnt need pics as a guide or a video tutorial ..
but the fact that sum1 has made a video tutorial means that people have asked for it n lot of people need it !!!
i got an idea for us canadians. how about someone make a backup of boot.img through cwm and go into external sd card where it saves it and post that recovery cause i think we might be able to flash it this way .. again just a thought if it doesn't work you can close this thread please & thanks.

same here because i know if u flash via cwm atleast it'll bypass and install recovery otherwise it might not work worse case we can go back to 2.3 for time being..
The only thing was that I kind of wanted like a really clean (odin clean) install of ics . Nothing left over but Im not going to complain if it comes out cwm

Someone should do a fresh install of ICS through ODIN and then make a nandroid before doing anything with the ROM so it's pretty much clean

Welcome to our happy, growing family!
Not to sound rude or anything, but you did notice the stock deodexed rom in the dev section? And the multiple deodexed roms currently available for the A2? So, yea, it has been done.. and can be done by anyone with the resourcefulness required.
In fact, just finished deodexing the stock framework files myself.. (i'm starting fresh from my wife's stock 2.3.6 )... so, yup.. you, too can do it.
P.S. The latest version of xUltimate actually let's you do it without connecting your phone via usb..
Feel free to PM me if you want some specifics of how i make it work..

Thnx a lot!! Yep, I know that is a CMW Backup deodexed, but like you, I wanna do it my self. And for the modded roms, I tried Supercharger for like a month, but my phone was to hot (literally, the CPU was working always at 50% load) and had to recharge the battery twice a day... so I decide back to stock rom and make some tweaks my self.
So, I'll give a try soon, if I need help, I'll be pm u

Seems like you need to do a lot of research before you're ready to do anything with your phone. I would start with going to your specific devices thread and read all the stickies, guides and info that you can get your hands on. Then you might be ready to start into your device.
I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to get you to realize what it takes to mod your device. And keep in mind that only you are responsible for your device, so understanding everything before you start is the best practice.
