Initial ReleaseKnown Issues:
- There is a delay of 3 seconds before it starts flashing selected color at the moment this a because the system will turn it off because it thinks its turning off the white led.

- The system will override the flashing if another system notification is set
- You will see a single white flash before the app flashes the correct color, this is the system doing this.Todo:
- Add check for Nexus One

suggestions; alternate colored notification bar icon colors (ie the ones found in Handcent), and later, i know its still only beta, email and gmail support if that would even be a possibility.
Besides those minor aesthetic opinions, it works like it says. Switch of notifications in chompsms, handcent or whatever you have including the stock app, set up the preferences in this one and it works brilliantly!

Works so far.
Im still unclear on the default icon in notification bar. Is it mandatory for it to appear there ?
Reason being I have handcent setup with different icons/sounds for individuals.
When a text comes in the trackball works fine but I get both the default messaging app Icon in notification bar AND handcent.
I tried turning off the default messaging but it pops up with trackball.
This is a great little app. Thanks. Do you have plans to enable it for email alerts as well?

I'm looking to implement this at a lower level than app, so we can get different notifications. Currently the system can override the trackball.
I'm open to icon/image donations (via pm please to keep the thread tidy) I'll give you credit if used.

Id much much prefer to get this working on Email /VM/Missed calls etc than worrying about aesthetics at this point.
Hace you contacted any of the rom guys to see if it can be dug into a deeper level and work in a fuller capacity ?

I'm looking into that. The problem is the current codebase only has a method flashing the trackball white. We need to hook right into the core notification system.

I can add an option but i think you will end up with a situation where the trackball does not stop flashing. Because its my notification, when it get selected/acknowledged my Cancel "callback" method is actioned.

Hands down one of my favorite apps now. Thanks for making this. Its funny how the simple things are some of the best (colored blinking lights) lol.
the beta version is not working for me. the alpha version of trackball notification worked alright (with very few minor bugs). i turned off the notifications on messaging and popup sms and i get one white flash and nothing else. i turned off popup sms entirely and still got the same issue. im currently running cyanogen's beta4 if that matters.

When I recieve texts now, my notification bar shows two of the smilie face text notifications and when i pull the bar down it shows the same texts twice. Only started after I installed this.

Thanks, I just found the 'Avabox v2' tool which I am looking into right now. I will try the APK tool if I have no succes. The proccess I'm going through right now is pretty hard, I have to find the original file, and compare it with my file which has been changed with the 270 degree rotation mod already, and when I am done I have to insert the code into our framework.jar
Being impatient as I am, I'm giving the files from the Fast-Light-Rom v2a a shot, since they look pretty unchanged. I'll report back wether I have succes of failure!
I'm very intrested in ths hack, if you need help, please ask me via pm I'll help you if I can ^_^ (I'm not an advanced developer) and I'll be happy to test and troubleshoot!
Alright, I have attached the modded framework.jar. I assume you know how to replace the current file and if anything goes wrong restore it? If you do, would you please be so kind to test it for me? Since if I have to do it myself, I'll first have to install Ubuntu, go trough some crap taking 30 minutes, compile a system.img for the android emulator and finally check if the file crashes settings.apk or not. I won't even be able to try if the rotating works!
Which I am doing anyway.. downloading Ubuntu 9.04 (10.04 has Wifi issues for me) right now

not, simply does nothing xD
Some mods like the brightness,the build.prop changes for lcd density wifi and HQ all works because are included in my Rom from a while xD
Would suggest you also the youtube mod!
EDIT:
wait, your phone,contacts and brightness mode doesn't work!
Lcd and hq yes are tested a lot, bi those 2 hacks not!

Also the power menu don't have the "reboot into recovery" which I use a lot...
Definitely a keeper, I just hope you can fix the wifi and camera, which I don't know if it's fixable, some say that there are no camera drivers for the evo4g...

Gosh... I haven't even downloaded this ROM... but I know it is the best of the best. Nothing can compare. I just wanted to have a post full of drivel and having no good input at all. It made me feel sooooo cool and all.
BTW, get 4G fixed, the camera fixed, the dial tone fixed, it isn't washing my dished completely, there isn't any ringtone that I like, it is STILL using some of my damn battery! ( I expect that you can make it charge itself ) and just generally isn't PERFECT. But it is a great ROM ( I guess )
Boy, I do feel better now that I have made this BS post and all. Just wish that I could have done it on the first page and really reveled in the awesome coolness of being there. * sigh *

It should be default. AOSP Nexus ROMs have it. Even if not, I will still try to add it, because without it it looks just weird for me...

CWM says some errors, like I must use EDIFY type of updater-script and update-binary, but I have tried to do this but failed... anyway I'm now working on it as I also don't want to use adb for this and always set permissions manually

On galaxy nexus when you are pulling down the notification tray, things behind it slowly fade to dark as you pull the tray. This should have been default.

Reason for the fix : When you choose a contact from smart dial, the first few numbers are hidden, only the last few digits are visible and make the user feels like it wasn't chosen. I'm using the international format like +YYXXXXXXXXXX ...

Reason for the fix : When you choose a contact from smart dial, the first few numbers are hidden, only the last few digits are visible and make the user feels like it wasn't chosen. I'm using the international format like +YYXXXXXXXXXX ...

I will have to look at it... and the erase key should be as it is now. Different position from ICS, its normal.

Yep ... Please Use CWM (Recovery Mode) to flash the zip.
Progress update
OK, I'm now stuck on bootloop after testing my another fix with icons (complete remake of them to JB ones) I'm working on solution how to pass that and after that, I'll update OP with another improvement
Another progress update + fix available
OK, fixed icons mainly in statusbar area, changed from GB ones, now looks a lot better with JB ones, also fixed bad icons in power menu.
FINALLY
Cool work , there is problem with very small and distorted fonts too with default launcher with ADW launcher it's fine but still.

Thanks, is this issue present even in CM7/CM7 with holo launcher? Because I think it will be due to our phone's resolution/screen size... isn't it?

Is it possible to have blue active icons in the notification drawer? Let that be white at in-active state.
Also the dial-er app drop down arrow while getting more than one search result (Where is it??? CM bug?)
The missed call notification is now in black & white. Is it correct?

1st of all, I changed all icons as they should be. That means, back/white icons are in holo theme, official in Android 4.0.4+ now. The icons before with exp. build 1 were GB ones, because in android source repository are no JB icons for LDPI/MDPI yet - I guess that is placeholder for later... So I came with at least this solution because I don't think they will continue with LDPI (old) resolution support for icons, because they wasn't even in ICS...
And for the blue icons... I'm trying to make it as close as possible to official CMX/JB as possible, because for our resolution default layouts are just uggly.. No blue icons in CMX, so no icons that I will do Just official JB because for LDPI is yet undone. It will be good to have theese fixes merged to marcellusbe's port so it wont have this type of issues.
I got Jb official leak on my atrix 2.My problem is that my android system tells me that im in china.Sometimes when i want to call someone it inserts the +68 in front of the number i dialed.And the default browser is set to search results from china.Is there anyway to change that?

Go to the main screen or home screen
tap the dial or phone and then the option button and hit setting then go to assisted dialing and uncheck the option or you can select your country.
