yeah, i am glad i havent booted this up yet, though i have downloaded it, but if there is a problem, then i would like to know it!!!

I already booted it up and loaded my apps no personal information yet has been gone into the rom though.. Except gmail account.. No banking or anything yet..

I think that's why too. I don't think XDA wants to link to other devs. That's what that ROM looked like. However I'm flashing to it right now, and after browsing their website for a while it looks pretty safe. They seem more experienced than most devs on XDA and this ROM is available for many devices so it should be pretty stable.
Its Becquerel they include warez in the ROM which are a know issue with UD rom's. These types are prohibited in XDA. Got this info from option94 in the other thread.

Regardless of it using warez its still the fastest rom ive ever used definitely .

I still think its the best ROM made for our phones. Fastest and most stable. Besides, it gives credits to cynogen im the "about phone" part.

you got me running a nandroid backup of my CM7 just to try this out.
Honestly after trying to ROM for about 20 mins, i can only say not bad at all.
I'm sure a lot of ppl here would really like the ROM. i say they should let him post the ROM, its no different from what Jaywan was doing. But its a better Kang job than what Jay would do.
He is giving proper credit now. or atleast i did see Cyanogens name there.
went back to CM7 myself, but its a pretty fast stable ROM. Great Bootanimation also

I see you went back to CM7, and you did try this rom out. All id like to know is CM7 as fast as this rom? If it is ill go back. I was on thunderbolt before which is sense, but was faster than CM at the time bur maybe the devs have sped things up a bit?

yea i went back to CM7 im on the Current Nightly and its running really smooth. Battery Life is Great!
Try it out, i haven't tried RoyalThunder yet, because i personally thing Vanilla Android always gives u better battery life than Sence based ROM, but thats just my personal opinion.
Okay, so first thing first, the kitchen is awesome. I'm surprised no one else has jumped onto it.
Secondly, I know I have to fix up other ROMs to pure awesomeness, but school is buttraping me and I barely have time to do anything that actually requires thinking.
That all being said, I want to launch my own open beta team. I don't have all the time to test everything and fix everything on my own. As part of the beta team, you can test and even send in fixes for the ROM. Sadly I have to depend on others ATM, but school is soon coming to a close and it gets terrible at this time.
Now with the good stuff
This ROM is another port, it's a modified version of Sense 2.1. Came from the Desire HD. Still cooking right now, but I'll be out with it in a few moments (assuming it works; if it doesn't, we try a new ROM. )
It's coming soon, so be patient! And if you'd like to beta test, help, drop hints, or anything, just say so, all help is appreciated

hey good luck with it.. i have just ported this myself and it has issues that r kernel related. this rom is uses ext4 make sure u edit ur ramdisk, u need to make init.glacier.rc for ext3 or else it will not boot. camera is really choppy and lacking trackpad wake.. i didnt go much further with testing... so if u need help with anything let me know, ill be happy to do what i can

Dude, I love you. (no homo). But you posted that too late. I flashed it and it didn't boot so I wen't back to my other ROM (just to sit there). I'll try that out, this ROM was incredibly sexy.

Well I can't release it yet :x it doesn't boot.. If I release it, I'd be making your devices a shiny fixable paperweight (although this does make a good paperweight).. I can't remember where i had even seen init.glacier.ro .. the kitchen does most of the work, but getting it to boot is my job.. once it at least boots, I'll release it hopefully it'll be by tonight. After that, I'll head back to RCMixGlacier to fight round two with the camera.

The RCMixGlacier went pretty well, minimal issues. This on the other hand is an ass kicker.
If you're looking testers, I'd be happy to jump on board... Just learning to use the kitchen myself, but will give you all the help I can...

So who are the developers that are going to be developing for the Samsung Nexus S 4G (D720)? I figured this is a question everyone has been wondering. Im very excited to get started with my Nexus S 4G! (Previously came from the HTC Evo and there were alot of dedicated dev., Hope to see the same here)

I hope netarchy puts up a rom with his liquid smooth touches. His evo rom + kernel was ILL.
The thing is, the nexus s and ns4g are dev phones, bare bone AOSP, so a custom rom is just gunna be "themed" a bit and/or the real "improvements" are in the Kernel or any additional apps the dev has created.
I would love to see a bunch of ports make their way over. I would imagine that a dev phone would be one of the easiest to port/build for (easy for a dev, not the average human )
in a way, we all are.. who is to say that someone has to be a "dev" to make something, or find out what may fix something? on the heroc we had hundreds of users sitting in an irc room helping each other trying to figure out why things didnt work and what would happen if we pressed this button 7 times instead of 4..
so in short grab some code and lets start working my repo is synced and already compiled im working with the rest of the ACS team to see if we cant bring some lovins on over from the epic/evo

Well, its very time consuming. I did alot of theming in the past, then wrote a few apps for WebOS, but just don't seem to have the time anymore with fulltime work, college, etc.
You are right tho, anyone can learn and the nexus line are a great place to start, simple and not complicated. Come on young high-school minds with oodles of time! Make ur name known! Lol

This number one thing to do is get ur pc ready with the right software and drivers (there are a couple applications for compiling/decompiling and signing, not just what u use for root)
There's a thread around here about theming for the epic. It has a nice intro to the basic setup ull need, just be sure to replace anything epic with sns, u can then move on to ROMs once u understand what composes a ROM. When I'm back at my PC I could probably hook u up w a good place to start, but right now I'm out and about after this heathen Bulls game! Woot woot!

If I may suggest, Epic 4G is just about the same as the NS4G. From what I hear they got our stock to work on Epic just after I posted this.
I know they have the CM7 half way ported on Epic as well as the obvious stock with the TouchWiz interface for whoever likes that stuff I figured this would be the easiest place to start.

It probably will work as much as flashing a Droid ROM onto a Milestone...same hardware...epic fail.
more so then that all they currently have is a .32 cm7 kernel a semi working .35 cm7 kernel and their stock .32 touchwiz kernel.. we only have .35 stock kernel, even if you could get past the bootloops good luck trying to make a phone call or get crap to stop force closing

Hello guys, Just testing out a new rom.
It is made off 4 Kornerz ROM from Diablo67. It is call 4KMods, It is running original kernal but is compatible with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570308 which is the underworld Sense Kernal.
Edit:The release of the 4KCM7 ROM is here only because it is going to be the "Light Weight" edition, CM7 itself is not fully functional as of this post, but will be my main priority for initializing the same Webtop experience from the Atrix/Atrix2/Razr/etc..
^^Also, the 4 Kornerz ROM base I am working will be more of the "Working Class, get it done right" ROM, meaning everything works 4G video etc..

I found WebTop mods that may be able to boot up on the Evo, might just include an ubuntu build script for easy install/download?

Just put CM7 into my Kitchen, and I will also be doing work on that, CM7 will be easier to do the built in ubuntu with as it is just pretty much a base, BUT I'll do minimal mods as far as CM7 goes.

The problem is IDK what to use as far as scripts, where would I get a script that will download AND install ubuntu for you, Like an all-in-one script to do it and then include a terminal app to run it?

I would love to help, but sadly I know close to nothing about development. Would there be an issue with having terminal pre-installed, and then have the script within the ROM, and have the command to activate the script in the OP?

There would be no issues with that at all. In fact there is a rom like that for the HTC thunderbolt, but I have no idea how to port..
Why no ICS love? Whole lotta Gingerbread baking going on, not enough Ice Cream licking...don't be scurred! You wanna do something special, use ICS as a base and get creative!

I am not using ICS because it is still unstable for our device we are working on.
I will be using CM7 as the end product but I'll still be working on 4 Kornerz because to be honest I am loving the 4 corners he has put in the launcher.

How about 4Korners ICS! That would be tight! Have you flashed any ICS recently? The only thing not working is video recording, FFC, and 4G. Really unless you are a narcissistic a-hole how often do you really use it? If more people devved for Android 4.0 maybe these issues could be solved to...that's all I'm saying...We are 6 months into having ICS for our Evos and still dont have a fully functional complete ICS rom , its time to quit piddling with Gingerbread and move on....how many Sense 1.0 roms do we really need with a new launcher or rosies and mods...its like beating a dead horse...two guys can't be expected to do it all[Drew and Deck]
No offense Sandix, but its just more of the same...these threads are gonna die real soon...everybody that got Evos on launch day will be moving on in a couple months when they get their upgrade...just would like to see devs take on the challenge of ICS and give us the latest and greatest...no Froyo rom will ever be better than Myns or Magnus', no Gingerbread rom will ever be better than Synergy or CM7, what's next? Our biggest promise seems to be porting other phones ICS to our phones a la CM9 and Gummyworms...I would maybe focus on bringing the Evo something special and new if you are going to spend time devving for it.

No offense Sandix, but its just more of the same...these threads are gonna die real soon...everybody that got Evos on launch day will be moving on in a couple months when they get their upgrade...just would like to see devs take on the challenge of ICS and give us the latest and greatest...no Froyo rom will ever be better than Myns or Magnus', no Gingerbread rom will ever be better than Synergy or CM7, what's next? Our biggest promise seems to be porting other phones ICS to our phones a la CM9 and Gummyworms...I would maybe focus on bringing the Evo something special and new if you are going to spend time devving for it.

For one thing brother,1.0 is the most stable right now,thats why we recreate it soo much,everything works.Yea everyone wants something new,but look at the roms you mentioned,like CM7 and Synergy,none of those are fully functional,this video dont work,that 4g is borked,theres only soo much you can do with something thats not made for our devices yet,so everyone always comes back to mr.dependable,thats 1.0.At least Sandix is doing something he likes,maybe he doesnt like ICS or Bliss,or maybe hes just learning and Sense 1.0 is the easiest to learn from,he asked me if he could use the design to work with,so i told him yes,because hes wanting to learn,i like to help people that want to help themselves.
Gingerbread would be good for me. Wish y'all luck ... oh yea why don't y'all bring liquidrush ,liquidE or liquid metal rom back to life. Using a gingerbread rom as base. ??

To everyone,
I will be moving downloads to mediafire, I'll zip up the 4kmodkornerz rom and upload there (200mb limit for free users..)
Also, if anyone would like to donate so I may purchase a premium account there (downloads are decent from mediafire) and its pretty cheap or if someone could host them on their own website or something I'd be very thankful.
bimmerman7 I can only speak for myself. I have tried a few ICS roms and while nice none are as fast as GB on my EVO and I have children and do use my camera and video recording quite a bit and it has nothing to do with being narcissistic it has to so with having videos to show the kids grandmothers and being able to talk face to face with a child who is away in school. I would like a fully working ICS but I bought the phone to use and I do. I personally appreciate both types of ROMS and their developers but at the end of the day there are things I need to do and the guys that are pumping out stable fully working ROMS have my gratitude the most.

just buy yourself an iPhone.
Not being mean just kind of seems like a waste of effort cause miui is so similar its really about down to theming really. Plus Android is greater than iOS. And I like when people ask why my iPhone looks different and I can say cause its not an iPhone its got the majority of the looks but more functionality more open apps less corporate control over everything. So taking dev work from other more different projects just seems a little silly to me.

I personally hate iOS except on iPad.
The android tabs look ugly.
Looks like MiUI with an iPhone theme. I hope no one decides to port it instead of helping the WIPs at the moment.

I agree with hating iOS but HP touchpad with cm9 looks nice and ill try JoyOS to see how it looks on our phone but I won't release it unless it's alpha build hahaha

Does anyone really want JoyOS? I'm asking because I can have a test build for whoever wants to try it maybe 2-3 days after I get phone as a thx of sorts for getting phone and it'll be posted here and not dev unless people really find use for it.

Ya, I'm very willing to try and of course will report logs and bugs all I can ^^
I got JoyOS uploading as we speak it's an Alpha build just because it's the first one and i didnt look too much into it just as long as no fc's and everything was functional which it is. Everything works except camcorder so do you guys want me to support the rom and put it in the dev or just put link to it here which will bring no future updates/support?
Roms and support are always great, but I would say do whatever you have time and inclination to do. You've done so much it doesn't feel right to get on here and say "yeah, do more." Whatever you choose is gonna be appreciated.

hmmmm...I have an idea if you don't mind ...I think you should post it in dev section since it's your work anyway ...And then, you can open a poll for it, if it not interest anyone like Lewa, then you could get it free out of mind and the opposite ... (I think you know )
For me, Yes, just post it if you have time because it is interesting and yes, you support it or not up to your decision ^^ (since as I see, you should focus on MiUI or sth bigger cause Lewa or JoyOS or maybe MookOS is somehow alike MiUI in appearance but not very cool as MiUI in themes, Chinese team support and part of ui as Lewa I feel is a little not as smooth as your MiUI)

i like it build is up in the dev section along with a poll.
erikmm since this is based off CM7 I would post it and only worry about it once CM7 gets updated.

Yep.
But one thing I should let everyone know is that based on cm just means boot.img and some libs the frames and apps n rest of the rom is JoyOS that's why my rom doesn't have reboot to recovery working eventhough cm does. So I'm not telling you but everyone this won't have a lot of the features cm has because its a different OS I just used cm because its an aosp rom
