[ROM] Unofficial CM10.1 for d2vzw (2012-12-16) - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Warning, warning, blah, blah, usual I'm not responsible if this kills your cat, etc.
I've been playing with the mr1-staging branch and finally have a build that is worth sharing.
Downloads:
MOD EDIT: links removed.
Definitely need to wipe data/factory reset before flashing and no guarantees that Titanium Backup will restore stuff (I haven't tested it).
Currently broken:
Camera should work now
Probably some other stuff.

Changelog
2012-12-05: Initial build.
2012-12-06: External SD works, but the Storage Setting FC's. Apollo and the File Manager can see the files though.
2012-12-15: Rebased everything on the cm-10.1 branch.
2012-12-16: Camera works thanks to cyanogen

I was simply answering it or maybe you post crap like that all the time for no reason

dude the lockscreen swipe/widget thing is sick

I am so tempted to try this I will have to wait til SD is fixed thanks man!

WARNING.. this may format your SD card. FYI

it did something weird on my internal sd with the folders. I now have /sdcard0/ with the following directories:
0 - containing all the contents of the internal sd
Android
legacy
lightflow
Notifications
obb
romtoolbox
TunnyBrowser
could i move the contents of the /0 directory to /sdcard0/ without issue?

anyway to nand? i guess we are screwed

Should be able to Odin back to a stock rooted ROM and then just restore one of your nandroid backup in recovery, assuming you backed up

Thats normal for 4.2 its because of the multi-user it does that if you add a user youd get /1 and so on

Ahhh, I see now. I have since returned to my previous rom, so can I move it, or should I leave it for when I come back? Does it matter?

CM9 question

I'm having this issue where everything that's on my SD card is doubled sometimes tripled. So I have triple of the same pic/song/video. My question is will doing a factory reset on CM9 erase anything on the rom? I know it will clear all my data and apps but will I still have root and the same version of CM9? Noob question I know.
Sent from my S2 Skyrocket running CM9 9.1.0 stable
And if you have any reason why my ex SD card is doubling I would love to know why. Thanks guys
Sent from my S2 Skyrocket running CM9 9.1.0 stable
I have that too, but only for ringtones and notifications. Not sure why. Drives me nuts.
Yeah I have over 1000 mp3 and now I have 2300 and the ones that are copies don't even play!!
Sent from my S2 Skyrocket running CM9 9.1.0 stable
yeah i used to have this problem but only on skyics. not really sure why...
anyways you can go to settings > apps > then media storage and just clear the data in there.
the duplicates came back when i did it but not for a couple days. hope this temp fix helps =D
Hmm, are they duplicating on the actual sd card? Or on the internal sd card/internal memory?
Edit: and to answer your question. You'll be fine with a factory reset. CM9 will be fine and you should not lose root.

For me, I believe they're only duplicated in the notification/ringtone dialogues. I haven't actually looked on the SD to see. Last time I looked, I think I had 5 separate instances of the Facebook Pop notification, for example, and 3 each of the ringtone and 2 notification tones I created.
Interesting I checked mine, and I am not doubled on anything. Maybe pop into root explorer and check? It would be interesting to see what you find...

I did find 2 instances of the Facebook Pop (both in /sdcard/media/audio/notifications and in /emmc/media/audio/notifications), but only 1 instance of my created ringtones.
I need to go through and clean up my internal and external memory, I just don't know what to delete.
I have the same exact problem and im on cm10.....wonder if its a bug in cyanogenmod??? Clearing the media storage data as mentioned works but only for a day or two.....only happens with my ext sd card too.....also formatted my sd card and tried a different one as well and got the same results
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
I'm using Solid Explorer and I am not getting any duplicates at all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
They are duplicating on my internal. I removed external and deleted the pics. But I can delete songs on apolo for some reason. And I can find the duplicates on my explorer. So annoying
Sent from my S2 Skyrocket running CM9 9.1.0 stable
I had a thought on this...
CMx and AOKP recognize /emmc, /sdcard, as well as /mnt/emmc, /mnt/sdcard, /mnt/sdcard0 (external) and /mnt/sdcard1 (internal). Those extra recognitions might be contributing to the duplicates...
I have that issue too lol

if the rom you're using is also copied to the sd or internal storage and uncompressed , the system reads the true file and the one in the "spare" uncompressed rom on sd .. result is "ringtone"*2 or notification *2

Stock Samsung Sounds for AOSP Roms

For those of you like me, who actually like the stock galaxy s3 media sounds and miss them on AOSP (like i did) here's a little something for you
Dropbox Links:
Notification Sounds
Ringtones
Alarms
Non Flashable Zip with all the stock media sounds: Click Here
Mediafire links:
Notification Sounds
Ringtones
Alarms
Non Flashable Zip with all the stock media sounds: Click Here
Those are all flashable in clockwork (except the nonflashable zip) but I haven't tested them yet due to already manually pushing the sounds to my phone. tested and confirmed to work
The Non Flashable Zip is for those who to pick and choose which sounds they want. Just make sure to put them in the right folder, you can do it all from your phone simply by using root explorer to unzip the zip, then copy and paste into the respective System ---> Media ---> [Designated Folder Here]

[Q] i727r restricted to 1.2 GHz instead of 1.5GHz

I have a i727r and for some reason the CPU is limited to 1.2 GHZ. I have system tuner and cpu spy installed and they both report 1.2 ghz when playing 3d games.
It wasn't always like that. It used to be 1.5ghz (maybe on an older rom, i'm not sure)

I was planning on flashing to the latest version. How do I go about clearing the phone's internal memory at the same time? I've accumulated a lot of misc junk files and would like to clear it out. Do I just manually delete all folders? which folders aren't safe to delete?
Thanks
If you're gonna wipe and flash something newer, connect your phone to a pc and from there browse your files on your sd card...Collect your music, pictures and anything personal...All the rest will be discarded anyway when you'll flash a newer Rom...
My suggestion is that you flash the latest AT&T JB leak UCLL3 or if you're on Rogers ,Odin the latest official JB Rom from Rogers...Head to the dev section for all the required files and steps...

It's not correct that all will be discarded when you flash another Rom. You'll internal sdcard will not be touched. If you want to completely clean it you should format it after you get everything off you want.

Like stated earlier, save what you want to keep and make sure the file you are flashing is on an external sd card. Flash the rom you want and after in the recovery, under "mount" you will have the option to format the internal sdcard.

There is an option in recovery for formatting the sd card [this is the int memory]. This is were all the misc junk files are. Before you flash your rom, format sd card, system, cache, data, delvik cache. Then mount usb copy the rom back to your phone and flash it.

Mine as well...
As usual, I'm only tested on Sprint - but should work on GSM as well.
I found BT is broken - looking into it, I assume something is missing.
Edit -- seems after flashing gapps and rebooting, BT turns on....
Edit 2 -- kb backlight issue seems an issue, it's always on (when the screen is on)
The DPI also seems "off"... at least everything is really tiny. But it's fast!
Enjoy!

Storage problem?

Hi, I have not updated my phone in a while, I currently have cyanogenmod version (11-20140221-NIGHTLY-t769)(android version 4.4.2). I am planning on updating to newer versions of cm11 but I've had this one issue that has been bugging me for a while now. I think there is a problem with the storage on my phone. Whenever i try to download something it says "not enough space available". I am aware that some apps can not be moved to sd card but I am getting different reads when i check my phone storages. When i connect my phone to the computer it says (Internal storage 1.39 Gb totalsize, 920mb free) and (sdcard 7.38gb totalsize,2.78free) Is it normal to have 2 internal storages? I've been trying to resolve this issue for a while now but I do not know what the problem is. Below are some screenshots of what i am talking about:
http://imgur.com/a/rogD8
Also, is it okay to delete the files listen from /clockworkmod?
Thanks in advance!!!
If you look at storage in cm the first one listed is where apps download and install. Clear app cache to make room.

For some reason it is reading my other internal storage as my sdcard meanwhile i have a sdcard with 7.38GB of free space. Please Help
