Hi.
Im searching for an app or a widget.
I want to disable/enable synchronizations of ONE account, one by one.
For example, 3 buttons on a widget, with whatsapp, gmail and twitter, clicking one of them disable synch for this app only.
THANKS

Hi guys just wanted to show to my wife how nice this device is and ... can't find a search email function in this app. This isn't possible? If nit is there the same little widget to show number of unread mails with a jumo link to gmail app ?
Thanks in advance!!
Any way to create a custom shortcut to manually sync gmail using adw? I've found that if I turn off background data it triples my battery life but I still want to be able to easily sync gmail with one click.
I looked through the gmail activities but didn't see anything. I couldn't even find a shortcut to get straight to accounts and sync.

Maybe try Any Cut from the market. Not sure if it can do THAT in particular but it can make shortcuts for a lot of cool stuff. And its free! Worth a shot.

try a different rom. I'm on 4G all day and easily make it through the day on a senseless GB rom. That way there is no need to turn off data. U do have the fastest phone in the market right now, u know?
Is there any way to get the Asus email widget to open GMail instead of the stock Email app?

Menu in the top right hand of the screen (in the email app)
Click account settings
Add Account is in the top right hand corner.
Make it your default. If you have another email account setup, you may want to delete it. The widget will tell you the total unread emails across all accounts setup.

Already done that
I'd like to know if there's a way to make it so that tapping the widget brings you to the GMail app instead though
The stock email app isn't quite as good as GMail
@slient
I have the same question/problem
I think that's impossible because Google is blocking every connection with Gmail app. No app on the market can connect to Gmail! Even ASUS is not allowed to create an app that works hand-in-hand with Gmail... sadly...

Well, technically, the desired effect can be achieved by checking for unread mail the way it is now but tap action should just open the different app.

Ah my bad, I misread the OP.
Out of curiosity what features do you want the gmail app for? The only real difference I saw was priority inbox/starred mails support. I don't use that often enough myself to worry about it.

GMail handles labels better and has a bigger viewing panel
also the default email app doesn't string conversations together
Not impossible, launcher pro has gmail widgets that I use everyday on OG EVO and 3D EVO

I have it for honeycomb on my transformer running stock 3.2 and it doesn't work.
i don't think it's possible, just use gmail widget
on GB I had a specific set of apps I always uninstalled. Social hub being one of them.
Now that I'm on ics it seems uninstalling social hub is keeping me from setting up my email. Any one know a workaround for this? I really don't want to use social hub as battery life is what I'm after so the less background apps the better.
Thanks.

Delete email, exchange, and social hub...reboot....drop these into system/app reboot and there you go.

Thanks. This is what I wanted..
Does the hotmail/live mail icons turn into just a square for you guys? it happened when I installed the above .apks
Not a big deal, just a nuisance.
Unless I'm mistaken this is only for GMail app... I use the Exchange option to setup gmail email and don't have social hub installed and is working fine.

Anyone know if this enables Yahoo calendar and contact sync?
Thank you, worked excellent.

This also happened to me! Thanks for the fix!! This email app is great
P.S. Does anyone know what I may have deleted to make the icon badge notifications disappear?
This is the number above the apps for say you get an e-mail or text?
Is that also because social hub is gone (deleted from my ICS)
BadgeProvider.apk provides the unread email and sms badges. They only work with TouchWiz launcher and stock email and sms apps.
I'm using Nova Launcher, which has it's own plug in to provide unread counts.
Anyone had any success in removing widgets from their phones? I was able to do it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab3 10.1 but cannot do it on the Moto 4g LTE. These widgets are not in the Setting/App section. They must reside somewhere in the phone. I have ES File on my phone so if I can find the directory I should be able to remove them.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Motorola doesn't have 100+ extra widgets as separate apps like Samsung does, they are just the widgets of your normal apps (like calendar, browser, gmail, hangout, etc... You can't remove them from a file, but you can do it with autostarts (it's an app, look for it in play store, has a car icon, and requires root)

Yeah, I was coming to the opinion that this was not going to be as easy as the Samsung Widgets. OK, thanks. I will check out autostarts.
