Each time I try to open a app my phone freezes and shows a black screen and there is no sound. When they call me I cant answer because it freezes and if I do they cant here me, I have factory reset the phone but same problem I have restored back to stock gb 2.3.5 but still nothing. Can this be fixed or can I send it to get fixed for a good price.
if you have restored to stock, then wiped caches and a reset, and it still freezes then its a hw issue, if its under a year, warranty it, if its over then see if you can get an estimate for repairs

If you've restored completely to stock and you still have the issue, take it in to an AT&T store. If you've had it less than a year, warranty it like vincom suggested.
But Im not with at&t im move to straight talk because it was cheaper. But I want to know if its a software or hardware I've asked around and people and friends been telling me its a software problem and others tell me its a hardware problem? Im confused.
It's a Hardware issue, you've already tried different software. Take it to where you bought it if it's still under warranty.

I don't think jtag will fix it, that's for a hard bricked device. You have other issues which I don't know what they are.

You have been given some good advise by very knowledgeable people and appears you won't follow it. One of my phones had the same problem it was hardware related I took I sent it back to AT&T and it was replaced under warranty.

i flashe xxkpe twice man.. it still didn't fix it -.-
it might be h/w problem also.. My i9003's back button stopped working in 2 months.. w/o doing anything!! I got that complete screen replaced
My sister's capacitive button started to activate by itself without even touching it. After flashing, it stopped. Sent it for repair and the service center said the touch panel needs to be replaced. Two different scenarios but maybe the same

sent my sl to customer service.. they checked the phone and charged me Php200 just so they could say that it was a hardware problem (i was pretty aware that it was.. i didn't need to pay Php200 to be assured)... they said i should pay Php3000 to get a new touchscreen installed.. wtf -.- i don't have that much money at the moment.. are there simpler solutions to this?
i think i just got ripped off by samsung's customer service :/

That's what i said to my sister. But to check, we sent it to the service center. 3k??? My sister was charged with 5k.. waaaa!!! is your warrant still intact? I got my sl's(which is now owned by my sister) touch panel replaced through warrant because its top right side somewhat lifted up
Edit: Are u sure it's 3k???
Edit2: i just installed button saviour(a virtual back, home, recent apps etc which will be hidden on the side of your screen) on my sister's sl to get a temporary menu and back button.

There are apps to help you replace the soft keys by placing a panel of soft keys at the bottom of the screen like in aokp. Use those first, they should help

I am pretty sure that the service center won't even *try* to fix it, they change the whole screen, for example, if the memory chip goes bad, they don't change it, they change the WHOLE motherboard, with warranty or without it.

i didnt do anything with it. it just low battery and then turn off, i tried to charging there was no charging indicator. i charged it for 2 hours, skyrocket became hot. i tried to turn on it but there is same consition, cant start as usual. i bring that to jtag box service, technician said that he cant service my skyrocket. now, i want to sold it, sold if the buyer want with that skyrocket's condition.

Most tag services won't take it there are only a small handfull that do skyrockets search the q&a its there SEARCH I COMMAND IT

I would be concerned with what caused this problem to begin with. Even if you pay to jtag it and it comes back to life if it bricked on its on like you said what would keep it from doing it again? Jtag might get it unbricked but if you have other problems they are still gonna be there when it comes alive.... I agree with xcrazydx mobiletech videos is great. If josh can't fix it then its unrepairable and cannot be fixed. Just search mobile tech videos in Google and contact josh with your problem and he will tell you what to do. I used him to fix a dead USB port on my old captive and he done a great job after others told me it could not be fixed he did it....

i did a hard reset and it only fixes it for a short time and thats it
and i havent done anything else cause idk how to so yaaaa hahaha and if you can i can skype you and show you what happands to it on skype

If you haven't altered your phone and having THAT bad a problem you need to sent it back, STOP messing with it and get one that's not screwed up. JMHO, of course....

Then you need to call HTC and find out who you need to talk to to find out if your serial number is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If not, it's probably something you should have done BEFORE you made the purchase. I could be wrong but it sounds like someone passed a hardware problem off on an unsuspecting buyer. BUT....it MAY still be covered and they didn't know either.
Isn't it worth a try?

This is their online "Warranty Statement". But it does conflict with the results some others have had doing a return. It COULD be that they returned it thru their carrier.

Nope. It's harmless. I do believe it adds a tiny delay to your boot. There are methods of resetting your flash counter should you ever need to make a warranty claim and want to be extra scrupulous about the device. Some ROMs like Synergy claim to block the Samsung checker, but YMMV of course.

Give some proper details like which ROM you are using.?
Are you rooted?
Did you flash anything or installed anything new.?
Also, use Q/A subforum for the same

Mine doesn't work either. Kind of used to it now since my phone is out of warranty and I won't pay 8000 INR to get it to vibrate.
Btw, it's not the first time. Happened twice. So I got it repaired from SSC under warranty. They replaced the motherboard both the times in order to fix it.

Have patience and go slow. The power cable for example is very easy to rip in two...I did this and now have to solder on another one.
Whoa. Strangely, my phone's vibrator started working today! After being dead for like 6 months, it just started working again even when I did nothing. Lol.
