Hello!
I own a TF700 with Android 4.1.1.
In the Stock E-Mail client I configured a IMAP account.
If I have more than 201 IMAP folders, the E-Mail app does not display the folder list.
For 201 folders (and below) it works. For 202 it does not. If I delete one folder, the list reappears.
I test this with an Acer Iconia A510 (4.0.3) and with the SDK emulator (4.0.3 and 4.1.1) with the
same IMAP account (on the same server) and on all these it works without problems...
With other E-Mail clients it works on the TF700.
Can anybody please test, if this is a problem of the TF700 in general or only on my tablet?
Regards
Sven
What should I do?
What can I do? I'm really stuck...
I made a factory default without any changes.
Can the cause of the problem be the OTA Update to JB? I never tested it on ICS before.
The last thing, I think, I can do now, is to install a full JB image from an SD card, but I do
not want to loose 'root'!
Any other suggestions?
If anybody could confirm this problem, I would contact ASUS...
Can anybody give me the MD5 oro SHA1 hash of the E-Mail app?
Maybe I should check the hashes of all apps, but to be meaningful, I have to know
if this works on the tablet where the hashes are from...
Please help!

Hi all,
Have been searching wildly for a fix to this and im reaching out for help.
Scenario: Standard email client in honeycomb 3.01 with an exchange account setup.
Issue: embedded images/ html images do not show in body of email. Please note that the issue does not rectify when pressing the show pictures button as nothing changes. All you will see is the box where the image would be and the blue question mark. The images seem to be in the attachments tab and i have the choice of view or save.
Has someone come up with a reason this happens and how to fix it?
Note also that the same exchange account is set up on my froyo htc desire and have no problems at all.
Thanks in advance
Is anyone else having this problem?
Pictures not displaying in Emails
Jip! I have the exact same problem and have found no solution yet?
Anybody?
Which version of Exchange are you using? I can confirm that viewing embedded images in standard TF101 Honeycomb 3.01 mail app does work just fine when connected to and Exchange 2007 account (using the Exchange protocol of course). I just tested and verified that it works.
Maybe you're on Exchange 2003 or 2010? Or maybe it's a setting or option within Exchange your admin must change? I hope that info helps.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I also encountered the same issue, I set up 2 exchange accounts.
Both do not display the embedded pictures, the pictures are shown in the attachments list instead. Weird, in my Android phone, they are shown correctly. I think our Exchange is 2007 version.
There should be a "Show Pictures", click it.
when you click show pictures it does nothing.
Yes, the show pictures in GMail works fine displaying the embedded pictures, but the show pictures in the regular mail client does not work at all (with 2 Exchange accounts I have set up).
Has anyone resolved this issue yet?
Check with your Exchange Admin. There is the possibility a recent Exchange Security Update may well have been installed at the server level that is affecting your display. Consider asking about any firewall setting, too. Hardware appliances are updates often alsong with Exchange.
Have you tried using OWA (Outlook Web Access)? If you are enabled, try that also.
This has been an android issue since 1.6, google doesn't really care apparently.
Time to round up the mob!
Hello all,
I bought my Transformer last week. I've already installed 3.1 on my tablet. I tried to add my exchange account to the stock e-mail client, using a manual setup (in both versions). For some reason however I don't seem to be able to connect to our Exchange server. The error message that I'm getting is: The exchange ActiveSync server requires security features your phone does not support.
I know this was a problem with older versions of Android. But starting with 2.2 these issues should have been solved. Also, some colleagues of mine own 2.2 and 2.3 devices. And they can connect to our Exchange Server without any problems. Unfortunately I can't with my brandnew Transformer .
I've installed Touchdown for Tablets. This app has no problems whatsoever. But I'd much rather use the stock e-mail client, because it lets me read my mail from all my e-mail accounts in one tool.
The security policies Touchdown lists as being requested from our Exchange server are the following:
allow simple password: No
Password/PIN required
Failed Attempts 8
Min Length 4
Timeout 600 sec.
Password recovery
Oh - and an odd thing is that in Touchdown I have to put in my pincode. Could they're be a problem with exchange not recognizing the "pincode" setting in Honeycomb?
Perhaps someone out there can help me out with this problem, because it's freaking me out.
Regards, Perenor.
I haven't had a problem with my Transformer connecting and syncing with my Exchange server...actually have been surprised how quick it does connect...
..how far into the setup/connection process do you get before it gives you the error?
I get the error when I press "Next" on the page where you enter the "user/domain", "password" en "mail server" entries. It then tries to get the settings for incoming mail, which takes a couple of seconds. After that I get the aforementioned message.
I have sent in a bug report at code.google.com. Its Defect Id is 17987. Perhaps others out there with a honeycomb tablet who are having this problem as well, could leave a message there: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=17987.
It s been like it since Android 1.0...
Android does not support Exchange security. PERIOD.
It is sad. The only ROM supporting it are SENSE ROM... as far as i know...
But for HC, so far nothing...
Updating to 3.2 resolves this issue
Update didn't help
Updated to 3.2.1 (WW) but I still get the same message that my device does not support the security features required.
Running stock and un-rooted TF101 (no G) B70 series.
Any ideas/pointers?
And no, I don't want to install touchdown regardless of how good it is.
(Funnily enough, my dirt cheap HTC chacha has replaced my blackberry and works flawlessly with our Exchange server).
For the record, we're on Exchange 2010 but not sure which exact requirements activesync comes with (happy to report them if someone points me to how to gather them).
I searched and could not find the answer, so please forgive me if it's already been answered. In Honeycomb 3.0 and 3.1, I couldn't find a way to make the stock email application (while using Exchange) to choose which email folders get synced besides the inbox. I know the stock email client on Android phones has this option. Is there a way to do it in 3.0/3.1 that I'm missing? Or does anyone know if this feature was added in 3.2? Thanks.
Hi,
After ICS update (no data wipe) the stock mail client is no longer downloading (neither automatically as requested in the setup, nor clicking on the download button) email attachments.
All email accounts (3) are configured with imap. Provider should not be guilty: one account is from my isp, one is yahoo, the third is gmail...
Anyone else experiencing the same?

Click to collapse
they updated the security system and it is a little broken. it wil not download any attachment which would be hazardous to the system. Which is pretty much everything. Workaround is to donwload it through the email client in the browser
Ok, thanks.
Tablet has revolutionized the way I'm accessing internet, and while keeping my desktop on, I'm mostly accessing mails through the tablet
Let's hope this will be fixed in next release
I was having the same problem after updating to ICS withaout Data Wipe. The aatachment never downloaded
I was about to do a harde reset,, but I did not have to do it
What worked for me was deleting all my email accounts and reinstalling them again and it worked.
I wasn't sure where else to post this, so here it goes.
I have a client that we recently upgraded their server from Exchange 2003 / SBS2003 to Exchange 2010 / Server 2012 R2.
Everything seems to be working properly, mailflow is normal.
Most of the managers have Razr HD's but only a few of them seem to be working with the new server.
I also tested on my phone to see if I could add the account, but no such luck.
They are all running 4.1.2 using the default email application. I'm running 4.2.2 running the default email application as well.
One of the managers phones is working fine, she's able to get emails like normal. When I try to add her account to my phone, it works properly but when I try to add theirs, it won't.
Anyone run into this issue before?
It seems that it's all a permissions issue within the server/AD.
Need to add inheritance in the properties of the user. (Advanced features, Security, Advanced, Check Inheritance)
