[Q] Something like iMediashare - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

Hello.
Does anybody know about application whitch is capable to share movies with subtitles over upnp chanel, like iMeadiashare. I have HDX 1000 and iMediashare works almost perfectly. Only one thing I miss is subtitle support. Is there any app replacement of iMediashare.

Found it on my note 2 play store.

Airdroid

Guys..
downloaded Airdroid to my S3..I'm able to connect to it using my galaxy tab 2 5110 but I can't stream videos because the standard issue android browser doesn't support QuickTime..from my googling I can't find any answers..
I'm sure I won't have any issues with my pc but I'm wanting to stream to my tab or ps3.
Thanks in advance

Have you ever tried it with a different app?
For example: My Phone Explorer or KiesAir
Or using a different browser on the PC? (Firefox)
You might be better off using something like servers ultimate or bubbleupnp to set up a dlna server for streaming.

Play to remote device (Bravia in my case)

Hi, I'm using Galaxy R with CM10
I have this Sony Bravia Internet TV.
Some of you guys must be familiar with Windows 7 & 8's 'Play to' functionality.
U can right click on any media and select play to-> Bravia(Both connected to same wifi)
This feature is also there in S3's stock music and video players.
So I can hit play to from my PC or an S3 and it directly starts playing on my TV.
I need this feature on My SGR running CM10.
The SGS3 ported music player doesn't work on CM10
So I'm basically looking for an S3 music player port for CM10 or any 3rd party player that can give me this functionality!

This should be what you need.. Able to stream to many TVs
From my CM10 powered galaxy R
I already have iMediaShare but it wasn't good enough.
It just shows the media library on tv and I still have to browse through it and play using the tv remote.
PlayTo universal:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dayglows.vivid.full
This app is somewhat better. Needs no tv remote interaction for playing/pausing. I'll keep digging for a more intuitive app though.
Thx a lot

Really?? That's strange coz I never needed the TV remote to seek play or pause videos... Anyways it always better to find new and better apps
From my CM10 powered galaxy R
That's really nice man.
I've heard iMediaShare is supposed to do that but it doesn't work so good for me.
Maybe it's something to do with the TV.
I flashed ICS again to see if I could find something and AllShare does this job really well!!

Looks great. Resizing is also great.
Only bug I found was when I pressed full screen, it turned the player into a black screen.

Does this use the same YouTube API that Falcon Pro for Twitter just implemented into their app? The video player in Falcon and this floating player look awfully the same. Actually, they look exactly the same. The Kobe Bryant video is on Falcon, while the Samsung Galaxy Note II video is your player. I can even control the other video by pressing play on one. When I play the Kobe Bryant one, the Galaxy Note video by MKBHD in your player starts playing. You should check it out, just sayin...
Nice app though!

[Q] Remote Control for TF300T?

Couldn't find it by searching but I was curious if there is some type of app that works as a remote control for the TF300T.
I just want something that works with a video player so i can pause, stop, play, etc videos. I don't need full functionality i just want something that works and I would considering paying for the app as long as it worked. Id love if they made an actual remote but i never have seen one.
Thanks.

You could install XBMC for Android and use any XBMC remote on another PC/tablet/phone.
Usually people use XBMC remote on the tablet to control their media PC, but there is no reason, why it should not work the other way around.

There's probably some VNC options as well.

Yes, exactly, should work like a charm. With a good remote you should even be able to browse the library with fanart, info, watched status, etc. For Android I can recommend Yatse, but there are lots of others.
Just need to make sure the firewall settings on your tablet allow the remote to connect, but that is a common issue for any kind of remote control protocol.

Hmm, not sure, where your problem is. XBMC for Android is a fully featured XBMC version with audio and video support. Can even pull live TV over the network, if you run one of the supported backends somewhere.
It is doing much more than just controlling mxplayer. It turns your tablet into a full multimedia box.
Oh, you might have to point XBMC at the directories, where your videos are stored. It does not use the Android media manager. Somewhere in the "Videos" tab you should find an "Add source..." item.
Hope this helps!

I installed xbmc server (host) -free from the play store on my tf300t. It says in the description of the app one of its limitations is "only supports music and cover art". So I can connect to the app but i can't quite figure out how to add directories in the server app. Guess I have to find the documentation. Appreciate the help.

Ahh, no idea, what that XBMC server from the Play Store is...
Sorry, should have mentioned that the official XBMC for Android is not (yet) on the play store. Grab it from the XBMC web site. The latest Frodo version works well for me.

Ahhh I see. Thanks. I installed it from the site and have it up and running and can connect! I seem to have an issue using the pause and stop buttons using the official xbmc remote app however yatse seems to work better.

Maybe I could ask you if you know how to make the videos full screen from the xbmc app. It still shows the home and menu buttons of the tablet during playback. If I use mxplayer its full screen without issue. I went looking through the display menu but couldn't find what I needed.

Sorry, no idea. As videos typically have black bars anyhow, I didn't care too much.
I mean, even if the buttons are hidden, the video display does not get any bigger.

I am little bit busy with some personal works. It's very difficult to redirect movies until or unless the app supports playing on third party players. Earlier popcorn time has the option to select the player. I am not sure about the latest. Will let you know after testing.

I have also checked my self. They do not provide an option to Utilize the third party app for playback. It's their limitation. MX Player has nothing to do with it.
You have to contact popcorntime developers since it's something that they have to work.
