This ROM is out of date and no longer supported.ā
The old OP can still be found by clicking below:
CM10+PA+AOPK=ParanoidKangDroid V1.40 *STABLE*MOST CUSTOMIZABLE JB 4.1.2 ROM(12.03.12)
This really isn't ParanoidAndroid, AOKP, or CyanogenMod anymore. When you put them all together you have something totally new. With this ROM you can do interesting things like having new rows of toggles and many other things that you'll have to find on your own. However keep in mind that on some occasions different settings can cause conflicts with others considering they're not supposed to be together in the first place, so just be smart about what you do.
This Rom is Stable 4.1.2 & the customization is endless to create the L00K you like!

PARANOID TABLET MODE WORKS 100%
If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread, Cyanogenmod's, ParanoidAndroid's, and AOKP's as well for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.
Edit: Now that the OP is mine, I removed the red because it was annoying the **** out of me.
If you want anything added to this such as any 4.2 features, please feel free to PM me.
I will keep up on this thread and keep this as up to date as I possibly can.
If something doesn't work, tell me and I'll fix it.
You may need to pull your battery and turn your device back on after setting a different interface mode such as 'Tablet'. We are looking into a possible fix for this.
Wow, neat! I know there are other roms like Pacman and King Kang that are mashups of PA, CM, and AOKP, does this ROM have something different? Nothin' like a new rom in the forums! Thanks!

This ROM has a lot of customization. Also, to get tablet mode you just set the settings under paranoid just like you would an actual paranoid android rom!
There's no need to go into settings and 'Force Tablet UI'
Enjoy!

fyi, if you go into camera and zoom and then click a picture it locks up... till you reboot your phone... so no for me 4.2 isn't working exactly right.
After installing with 4.2gapps, and setting everything up I rebooted and now it hangs on the paranoikangdroid splash screen. Battery pull did not help.
Everything installed fine and it's up and running. Problem with Dolphin Browser, though. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling, it will open then close right away - not a FC, but just close.

I also haven't encountered a single bug so far. Except maybe one minor one; the play store randomly said I had no internet connection when I did, but it was fixed by a reboot.

Is anyone having problems with echo when you're on the phone? It sounds clear on my end but everyone I talk to says they can hear themselves. Other than that I'm loving the rom so far.

No complaints of echo. Is it just one person that said that? Or is it with every call?
Overall, I'm really loving the looks of this ROM, but there are two visual issues that are really annoying: The first, in the below image, is the icon to resize the screen zoom(between the clock and the wifi signal).

Is there any way to hide that?
The second is in the notification menu, there's the text, "Roaming Indicator Off". Is there some way to turn the roaming indicator on or otherwise get rid of it?

Not force closing. Just opening up (screen goes white as app loads), then closes (disappears) right away. No dialogue box, nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, both Dolphin Browser and the Jetpack that goes with it. Chrome, Browser, etc work fine.
Here's a logcat.

Want to flash another Kernel, such as KT? Install/flash the attached zip in same session as your Kernel Flash
I interoperated fixes for the power button issue, not the revert that is currently being used by Kernel devs. The fixes I interoperated are not "officially" merged into CM, thats why Kernel devs dont have what it needs to light the display of Slim. I guess this is my bad for trying to be ahead of the game
Flashing the attached file in the same recovery session as your kernel flash will "light the display". This is tested with KT, not tested with LK...

Based off AOSP with pulls from CM/AOKP. Post 2 has link for NFC patch so yeah. Make a back up, U no like, U restore. I have no echo, havent checked volume on calls. Im a set it and leave it user, also never use auto brightness so that I havent checked either. A general rule of thumb in early AOSP development, if its broke on one then it broke on them all. There are a $hit load of options in ASS (Advanced Slim Settings) and developer options. OP will be updated in due time, wanted to get this out for everyone to use

Somewhat, it has files/apps that are used across all supported devices. If you were to flash d2vzw and gapps instead of common you would be in a bootloop from Hell. You can flash another gapps set after common (recommend after you boot once), like inverted or something. but common is a must...
I am really excited about trying this ROM out. Are these steps correct?
1. Factory reset. Wipe cache. Wipe dalvik.
2. Flash d2vzw.zip
3. Flash common.
4. Flash Google now.
5. Flash charge ani and extras.
Boot up
Recovery again. Flash inverted gapps.
Reboot.
Sound right? Thanks

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

One minor question: How often do you plan on updating this ROM? I know you are so busy with so many projects; how can you do all this?! Just asking since Ben left us in the dust. Every CM nightly, every Paranoid Android?
Thanks for the work gonna try this and report any issues if any. Will also see if this works with your CM10 kernel.

Yes, I will be maintaining these roms as more updates get merged. Just like AOKP, I won't have the time to build every night, but I will be updating the ROMs regularly.

At long last! Paranoid Android is here!! Klin, you da man!
Despite having no Ubuntu 64x system nor experience with Android and compiling from sources I was willing to have a dual boot just to try build this ROM following some guides.. this is how desperate I was. But not anymore
I will definitely get this ROM the moment the current wakelocks in CM10 nightlies disappear. I used to run the CM9-based one and I loved it if it wasn't for losing panorama (I love taking panoramic photos).
Might want to edit your sig to include this sick ROM

I'm making good progress. But in AOSP there's no 'make otapackage', so I'll have to make a flashable zip with the kitchen.
But as of right now the device tree isn't set up correctly, causing it to bootloop. But it's getting close.

Hey thanks for making this. I just had a couple suggestions for ya. The screens sometimes display text in chinese and the play store installed was for ICS and I had to reinstall the JB one so the GAPPS would work right. Other than that super stable so far.
Can you give me an example of when the screen might display Chinese text?
I would call this a port/build as some of the items were used from the SII's rom.

So does it really give the t769 4 gigs of internal memory like the screenshot sais???? cuz if so then i could use a rom like that so i can finally download the apps i paid for from the market that are to big for the amount of memory that i have with the rom i am using right now.
Kinda new to MiUi. Flashed. It seems that it doesn't have a app drawer. Is there an app drawer?

idk yet cuz i am about to flash this rom myself but if it does i will find it and let you know what to click to get to it.
update: i don't think there is an app drawer. from what i can tell when i flashed it, every app that you have installed on your phone will appear on one of the home screens. and from there you can group your apps into different folders if you like. but it seems basically almost like the latest ipods and iphones as far as user interface is concerned in my oppinion when it comes to the apps and an app drawer. but im no pro when it comes to roms. i am just a guy who loves roms giving my oppinion. but yeah so from what i can tell there is no app drawer though.
Nope sorry doesn't have 4.00 gigs sorry. :/ Let me see how to change it. And yes it's like iPhone style no app drawer.
Nope no app drawer. There is also a restriction to taking apps off the home screen. I used different launcher. I still however get the same force close when I hit launcher in options...

Galaxy Note 2 Rom ported from Sac23's Custom S Rom
Make sure to thank Sac HERE and hit the thanks button if you like this rom. All I did was port this from Sprint to Verizon. That's all I did. I can't fix anything that doesn't work like tethering (I'm not sure what works). I am pretty good at fixing problems so I'll try to help if I can.
Upcoming Changes: Some changes were made already
After doing it on my phone I am going to delete the sprint applications and will upload the update. Mostly done
Add goo manager so you can be notified of the updates. Already Done
The usual. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR DEVICE. FLASH THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
One problem I found is the rotation is upside down. I fixed it by flashing the linked Kernel. I am running the VRBLK3 modem and Linked kernel on this rom.
Instructions:
Wipe everything
Wipe it again.
Flash Rom below
Boot.
Setup as usual.
Wait a couple minutes.
Reboot into recovery
Flash VRBLK3 Modem
Boot enjoy

Download Rom Here
Download Kernel from this post it fixes upside down rotation. Download the Jellybean touchwiz kernel. Here

Thanks for this. Been wondering when we would get some N2 ports. I'll be keeping a red eye on this one. Would love some screenies and more detailed feature list.

it has the quick panel on the left side but doesnt seem to have the multiview. im working on finding a rom that i can port that has the newest software. i cant cook up roms. basically i woke up this morning and wanted to try the multiview only to find out its only on the note 2 and we have no ports. this is a work in progress.
beautiful beautiful rom. will be a daily driver for a while.
battery is nothing to brag about but is also very decent for first version that has been ported.
one problem other then the opposite rotation is that the ringtone and notification sounds seem really loud. (ill have it as quiet as it can go without being off and it still plays as if it is turned half way up or something. oh well. ha
Very nice though. great job. will be following this thread.
here are some screenies.
ONE APP AT A TIME. here is to show what happens when you drag and drop.
also lock screen has flawless ink effect. very cool
hit that thanks button for the lockscreen background hahaha
you are more then welcome to use these pictures in your thread or for whatever reason.
feel free to PM any questions, i might be able to help
thanks for your hard work again.

I fixed it. I flashed beats in CWM after cache and dalvik cache wipe. And rebooted.
Not sure if beats actually fixed it or if the wipe fixed it. Or even if just a reboot fixed it. Haha but its fine now.

Think of the bar as more of a shortcut panel. Very useful....but not a multi window mod.

Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?

Basically this is one big mixture of all the great ROMs out here!

U should test Roms b4 release... Or at least have couple ppl beta test for u before release.... If ur asking if it even boots, that's not very confident.. Not trying to be mean or anything just saying plz make sure it works.

Interesting ROM, giving it a go. Needed something fresh for my spare.
Just FYI, the startup wizard kept crashing on first boot, and I couldn't get past language selection page until I rebooted. Then on second boot it seemed to loop on some of the selection menus. For instance the allow google access to your location page page came up like 3 or four times after moving past the page.
Beyond that, the settings APK through me a bit, but will install and see how it fares from there.
Thanks!

Did you use the new build and format system and only use our gapps I never heard of those issues. I find that Google keeps bugging me for access which is getting annoying it only persists in slim gapps even though they are the only ones that will invert.

Was the earlier build (0618) as I grabbed it this morn., but didn't flash until an hour ago.
I did a full wipe (cache, factory reset, and dalvik), and used the DominationGapps.
I also just tried loading Titanium backup (to load the settings APK) and no root, granted I didn't flash an SU zip.
Downloading the latest zip (0619) now and will reflash and let ya know how that goes.

Yeah I uploaded 6/19 I don't how these issues raised maybe main dev did something. I have my kang of this ROM with linaro 4.8 and other tweaks to speed up this feature filled ROM . I'm running mine and haven't really looked at our default builds but I assure su worked two days ago both default build and tweaked.

reflashed 6-19 build
World of difference with the 0619 build.
No errors on initial setup, SU is in place, everything seems pretty smooth. Also saw the pie controls pop up, didn't see those previously.
Will keep playing with it, and let ya know if anything comes up.
Thanks again!
