I wonder if the N4 would fit in this waterproof handlebar-mount case.

It looks like a definite maybe. The width would surely be too much but the height might be a bit too tight. I have a 90-degree micro-USB cable on the way but that still ads another 1/4" of height to the phone too. A little bit of foam padding would need to be custom-cut to keep it in there if it did fit and keep it pushed up to the top of the case.
I've also got one of those external USB battery packs that might even fit behind the phone and act to shim it out but it might be a tad too thick. I wish I knew exactly what the internal dimensions of this case were.
I wouldn't use the handlebar mount clamp but would instead vecro it directly to my handlebar bag on my bicycle (It's got velcro built in to do just this with a map case that came with it.) I would probably do the same exact thing with my motorcycle tank bag and be able to use it for either depending on what I was riding.

Did you try it? I've got a nexus 4 on the way and would love having gps on my motorcycle. I've looked for this sort of thing for my thunderbolt but didn't find a great fit.
It does fit as I have one for my mountain bike.
I also put a battery pack behind the phone with a right angle USB connector and use it like that.
The phone can also be used through the case without having to take it out all the time.

Posting here in case you don't read the Vibrant forum.
I've been searching for an armband for my Vibrant for awhile and decided to get the Tune Belt Armband.
This is the one I got:
https://www.tunebelt.com/domino/tunebelt/shop.nsf/parts/3FBB580A8B45C3DA852577AD00660D14
So far it's a very good armband except in one area. The length of the band itself is kind of short. If you have decent sized biceps, I highly recommend getting the extension. It only costs a few dollars more so it's well worth the investment in case your arm is too big. This should fit just fine on most women.
The armband fits with my Vibrant still inside it's case which is exactly what I was looking for.
Here are some pics.

Hopes this helps anyone looking for the right armband.
How well does it cope with water? Not just the kind from above, but also sweat from where it touches skin.
How much does it take to make the phone fall out? Looks like its "just" a flap with no velcro securing it in place?

I used to have a neoprene case exactly like this for an ipod and they don't deal with water...

It would take a LOT for it to fall out. The "flap" actually curves over the top of the phone because of the stitching and holds the phone very securely. I shook it as hard as I could and the phone did not budge.
To get the phone out, I have to hold the flap open and push the phone from the bottom, otherwise it doesn't come out.
As far as moisture, I would not run a marathon with any neoprene armband (at least not with a $500 phone in it). But for gym use, I think it's sufficient.
I'm going to run it through the gym the next few weeks and see how it holds up.
The build quality looks to be on par with my other 2 armbands and they've survived for a number of years now. Only time will tell.
Hey, getting a T-Mobile G2 soon and am looking on eBay for a case.
One thing I've noticed with the original HTC hard shell case and the Case-Mate Barely There case is that there's a little hole above the loudspeaker slit, while the cheapo $2 cases etc don't.
I can't seem to find a corresponding hole/port on the phone itself (just based on pictures off reviews, don't actually have the phone in my hand yet).
Normally I'd just get the official case but it's OOS everywhere I've looked. Probably going to go with the Case-Mate Barely There but I'd like to just save a few bucks with a cheap generic case, though if this will affect some noise-cancelling system or something I'll go for the casemate.
What is that hole/port?

Also have one more question: is the beveled edge existent on the generic ebay cases, and will that severely affect the usability of the keyboard? If it does affect the kb then the case-mate it is
Thanks
Let me rephrase the question then- does anyone's G2/DZ actually have a hole/port in that area?
Sent from my GT-I9100
Desire Z here and same as the pic you showed - no hole there.
EDIT: Never been a fan of the hard shell cases but i tried one of the cheap ones on ebay as well. Does not effect typing at all but when ur lying down with the phone above you, the added weight can cause the top half to fold down...
The hole is there for the internal wifi/data antenna if you will...If you have the phone connected to wifi and place your finger on your phone where the hole would be on the case connectivity goes down. I have a TMO hard shell case and it has a hole as well.

Thanks for the reply.
iirc the hinge falling was an issue with earlier devices- does the phone do that without the case on? I can't imagine a top half weighing just several grams doing that... but maybe that's because of the hinge's design?

Intriguing. The antenna being so concentrated on such a small area seems quite odd, but that's one of the only plausible explanations.
Either way I sprung for the Case-Mate Barely There That has the hole so no worries.
I was originally worried about http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008LM04T6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01 this case but it turned out to be quite nice. it does add bulk tho so i would reccomend it to travelers and those who work in non office areas, perfect for cafe's and other busy places. best thing is both cameras work with no obstruction, and can separate for days you know you wont be using the keyboard, and then it looks real slim, pockets for everything see pics below and ask any questions, there is suede on the inside it looks real premium

Great photos. Thanks for that. I'm waiting on mine to arrive from the US (must be stuck on a boat somewhere). What youhave described is perfect for what I need the case for.
I happen to have essentially the same one, save mine doesn't have the SD card holders (although I remember them being advertised, I do not need them so I let it slide). I commute by train (4 to 5 hours per shift), and so far it has behaved commendably. It is bulky, but it does feel a bit safer than having the TF700 all naked in my bag.The corners are free, though, so if dropped on a corner the device will still suffer quite a bit.
End of story: even with a case, don't drop it?
PS: what I like as well is that the flap that folds over the screen backwards makes the tablet/dock combination quite a bit more stable when you let the contraption rest on it. Wow, that is unclear, but I do not know how to phrase it more clearly. Let's try this.
__/\ << = keyboard, screen, folding flap
I received mine today from Amazon and haven't quite decided if I like it or not.
Pros:
The case seems to be built well with quality materials. The leather and solid flaps will definitely protect it from the elements, to an extent. The leather is smooth and soft but easy to hold on to. It's like carrying around a book.
Cons:
The bulk is significantly more than I was hoping for. With the tablet and dock folded in it's about 2 inches thick, and this is before I've put any papers in the flap.
The tablet strap is less than 1cm wide and has a small piece of Velcro to keep the tablet from slipping out if you don't have it docked. That's it, 1cm of Velcro, not that reassuring.
The dock's elastic straps block both the USB port and the Charging port. Moving them aside every time you need to use the ports is possible but an extra hassle.
If I should decide to carry it without the dock, the case doesn't stay closed well, is loose and baggy on the edge, and I'm going to be afraid that the tablet will fall out since a 1cm piece of Velcro is all that would be holding it in.
I'll probably be returning this case and wonder if the RooCase TF201 cases will fit the TF700. I may have to wait for the TF700 cases to come out.
After my positive experience with the Sena case, I decided to head off to eBay to figuratively scrap the bottom of the barrel and arrived at this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/36086873272...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Item cost: 1 GBP
International postage: 1 GBP
Total cost: 2 GBP
For such a rock-bottom price, you get a screen protector, stylus and phone stand thrown in too, if this isn't value-for-money* I don't know what is.

All for the princely sum of 2 GBP! Screen protector is not well-cut though, if you align with the top and camera opening, the bottom will be a little slanted. After this temporary placement I didn't bother to remove the adhesive.
Slightly damaging the case is quite easy, you can see that the top right edge is not glued properly and I have managed to peel it off slightly. The top left corner is quite flexible too, I have managed to warp it a little. There is also a velvet-like fabric on the case to 'protect' the phone's back, but it feels cheap. The total thickness of the case is 17 mm.
After placing the phone in, you can see that the right side doesn't conform well... at least the buttons are still reachable.
A quick look on the left side, the magnetic charging port is reachable but you wouldn't be able to charge it in-dock as the side of the case have created a significant gap from the dock connector. It's only good for the magnetic charging cable I suppose.
In conclusion
I don't think a case can get any cheaper than this with postage included as well. I wouldn't recommend it as a quality case but I'll be hard-pressed to recommend anything else even at three or four times its price.
* - For under 2 GBP hahaha...
Definitely wouldn't recommend it - bought one as a temporary case before doing some research and the plastics case on the inside broke after less than two weeks with little stress!
At least it wasn't expensive

Has any found a phone ring that will stay attached to the back of the phone? I've found that even rings with the 3M adhesive tape won't stick properly. I figure it's due to the polished ceramic back. I'm trying to avoid a case as I don't want to go there. I also tried just attaching a metal plate to the back for my magnetic cart mounts but that won't stay on either which means none of my mounts work. I have the white PH1 and would love to not have to cover it up nor add bulk.
Here's the link to the ring I bought for this phone.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075WVGWBW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_xcWaVuSKmObvO
I'm hoping that worst case scenario I can put a skin or protector on the back and then attach the phone ring or metal plate on top of that.
I've used multiple phone rings on my HTC 10 and it even allowed me to go to no case which I absolutely love now. Although when I did use a car I would cut a hole in it for the ring mount to fit through so it attached directly to the phone and was "sunk" into the case.
In this plate kit, besides the plates with 3M adhesive, there are matching sheets of clear adhesive film meant to go between the plate and a bare phone for protection. As a bonus, this thin film sticks much better to the ceramic, and then the adhesive on the plates sticks well to the film. I've been using one of the circle plates on my PH-1 for a week now with no signs it wants to pull off like it would just using the plate alone. Looks like your ring mount uses a similar-sized circle for the phone side, so these should work just fine.
BTW, I got that plate kit for free, when I ordered this certified USB-C PD charger (which also works great, "charging rapidly" no problems). Just mouse over "View Promotion Details" on that listing below the price. Extra bonus, these both ship free next-day if you're a Prime member.
EDIT: Here's a pic that might show how the film works better than I described it.

EDIT to my EDIT: OK, looks like the Torres ring thing already comes with a piece of that film.
Thanks for catching that! Those film pieces had gotten stuck in the box. I haven't had to use them before as the HTC was aluminum so didn't have any issues. I also appreciate the link to the metal plates. I may get them as it comes with film and play with making the ring attach magnetically so I can take it off whenever I use my gimbal as it doesn't play nice with the ring grip on there.
