EDIT: Solved, used WiFi Tethering for Root Users from the market, which worked perfectly.
Just installed AOKP Milestone 1, and am having trouble connecting through the integrated hotspot and the Wireless Tether app.
Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Wifi tether used to work flawlessly but ever since I upgraded to cyanogen 6 it stopped working. Whenever I start up wifi tether (I have perm root) and begin tethering it also opens up the tmobile wifi tether hotspot setting and I can't close it while wifi tether is running. I've tried connecting with laptop and desktop and neither work. Phone doesn't show anyone is trying to connect. it shows as limited connectivity and I check the access control everytime but nothing is there. The stock tether hotspot setting doesn't work either.

Had been using aNetShare on my rooted HTC Hero to setup wifi hotspots and has worked fine with laptops etc.. but seems the transformer cant see it - I guess its because its an ad-hoc network and not supported ?
Just wondering if anyone can recommend an app I can run off my phone that does work using somthing other than an ad-hoc network - or is this not possible ?

This prob wont help but the personal wifi hotspot option in android 2.2 works fine but android tether or barnicle don't seem to work.
Doesn't PdaNet support bluetooth tethering? Is that an option for tethering the Transformer?
Tethering does'nt work on this rom...when i started wifi router option i get an error...anyone have the same problem?
I recently installed this rom but have found out that rooted wifi tether apps work but computers wont pick up on the wifi generated. It worked perfectly before. Has anyone else seen this issue and know how to fix it. Thanks
Has anyone got settings that work for WiFi tether for root users on the Sensation 4G running JB 4.2.2 by albinoman887 and I have tried on other ones as well and can't seem to find a pair of settings that work.
the built in WiFi tether works ok but I am trying to get it to go thru VPN which don't work with built in.
The wifi tether for root Trev mod works with VPN app onthe galaxy so I wanted to try it for this.
Anyone know a setup for tethering that would work thru VPN on the device?
Hasno one tried to get the wifi tether for root users on this working at all?
