[Q] How to increase speaker/headset volume using the code *#*#197328640#*#* ???? - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I found the this code *#*#197328640#*#* on one of the xda threads.. we need to put this code in dialer which gives out a menu with various options.. among which one of the option is 'Audio' which gives us the option to alter volume level of headset, speaker, headphones, mic etc... but the only thing is its in hexa-code.. thus its a request to senior members to have alook into this thing...

Remapping the function of Microsoft Voice Command

I am currently using MSVC with my Touch HD. I have recently remapped the buttons on my headphones ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=476412 Many thanks to vijay555 ) to activate MSVC, meaning I gain some functionality of my phone on the go, without it leaving my pocket. Now although MSVC is able to do a lot, there are a couple of things it is not set up for. The most significant of these for me is the ability to control the system volume. It can already control the ringer volume in three stages (low/medium/high) My question is; Would it be possible to directly or indirectly remap the ringer adjustment commands? I would imagine directly would be impossible, as it would mean re-engineering the software, but how about indirectly? Would it be possible to put something in place that would redirect the commands sent by MSVC?
Just a thought...

Does your blutooth headset not have volume controls
all my a2dp stuff does.
If you mean setting up specific volume properties i believe it can be done.
I suggest you ask "ageye" - a user in the forum.. how to set up specific properties.. he does it in his profiling application.
then, you can obviously use vijay's app to set it up using command line properties.

[Q] Star 9220 engineer mode - audio setting help needed

I'm trying to improve the call quality, specifically what I hear through the main speaker, to make this phone useable. Currently its very tinny.
I found on a russian forum the dialpad code to engineers mode *#*#3646633#*#*. That brings me to a menu:
Battery Log
Touchscreen
GPRS
Audio
Camera
WiFi
Bluetooth
NetworkInfo
Autoanswer
YGPS
AGPS
EPO
VideoTelephony
Display
Memory
IO
Power
Baseband
FM Receiver
SIMMeLock
SystemLog
De-Sense
Matv
CPU Freq Test
BandMode
Can anyone provide an explanation or instructions for these?
I'm most interested in the "Audio" menu. If I select this I get:
K Tone
Normal Mode
Headset Mode
Loudspeaker Mode
Speech Enhancement
Debug Info
Speech Logger
From there I get drop down menus with FIR 0, FIR 1, FIR 2 etc, Ring, Key, Mic, FMR, Sph etc, Levels 0 up.. and two input boxes, one for value (0-255 and another, Max Vol. 0-60.
Any explanations, instructions or help would be gratefully appreciated.
Have searched this forum and google and the closest I can find is this but I can't make much of it, even with translate.

I'm really excited that this might give some useful control to address a problem. I'm suprised that with all the experts out there no-one has responded yet. I'm sure the answer to this problem will help others with tinny phones too. Anyone....?
Did I put this in the wrong place? Not one answer :-(
wish i could help you, im looking for the same answer, except for music, it sounds tinny as heck, not originally but has developed a tinny sound that i feel could be fixed

[Q] Increase headset mic Volume [SOLVED]

Can someoune suggest me a method to increase headphone mic volume?
I've a problem with headset volume, I can hear other people but people have problems to hear me. I think that volume mic is very low. I tested also other headphones but with the same results. Without headphones this problem is not present.
In other phone threads I found an intresting method: ie with galaxy s2 you have to enter in a secret menu and change default mic value. There is a similar method also with Optimus One?
I've a rooted phone with stock rom and kernel.
Thankyou
Hi, I found a partial solution starting from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645682
Now for Optimus one, to increase headset mic sensibility I followed these points:
1) Hidden menu, on phone app dial: 3845#*500#
Now in this secret menu make attention because " with great power, comes great responsability"
2) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
3) I select:
Vocoder ON_Chip_0
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
4) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
Vocoder Stereo Headset
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
This will increase mic sensibility and now people can better hear me. I Personally tested this, and voice will became a little bit metallic but stonger and clear.
In the original guide there is also this point:
Write all to EFS --> OK
This command is present also in optimus one secret menu but it fail to permanently write these changes to memory.
This mean that on every reboot these changes will be lost and you need to set again these two parameters; I hope that someone with more experience can help me with this.

In-call volume and MTK Engineering mode

Is there documentation somewhere about the various settings of Engineering mode of MediaTek-based phones? Lots or articles offer a basic description of it and the codes to enter it, but I haven't found a comprehensive guide about particular settings.
Specifically, I am interested in changing in-call volume. In the Hardware testing->Audio->Voice section, I can change values for NB, WB, and SWB + Receiver, Receiver_SV, HAC, Headset, etc. What do all these refer to, specifically?
One post on XDA advised to change the NB, WB, and SWB values of the Receiver setting, but the result affected the mic volume, which was not what I intended.

This would be great. I've been messing around with it but I think I might have broken in-call volume from MIC with BT headset...
I wish someone could explain it in detail.

Sorry for the late response.Im in the same boat Im no expert .The best I could gather is to Max out all of the fields NB,WB,SWB with the highest numerical values allowed(I entered audio>vol>voice252,240with index of 160)(for audio playback I used no less than 180 for index gain) and for speech enhancement I referred to this other post by "walopower"
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-enhancement-parameters.3082461/post-71643868
basically dropping down to index 3 for calls and raising that to 255 all levels!
Lastly I edited the build.prop (optional)
ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=30
ro.config.media_vol_steps=30
My gains are not super loud like I would rather it be, only about 3 times as good as stock
Its all very time consuming but it works!
If anyone figures out a way to get the in-call super loud I would appreciate it!
