[Q] CyanogenMod 10 Beta Build [4.1.2] - HTC Desire S

Hello guys,
I'm a newbie here so I cannot ask question in specified forum.
I'm running CyanogenMod 10 Beta Build [4.1.2] by nk111 on HTC Desire S.
Nice and stable mod, thanks to the developer, but there are some questions now:
1. I have no Mobile Network toggle on my power control and didn't find the way to make the shortcut of mobile network setting.
Is there any option of fast access to switch mobile network on/off?
2. I unsuccessfully tried to remove Google search widget from main screen.
Is this possible and how?
3. Can somebody recommend good task manager for this ROM?
Thanx in advance!
Benny

1. For mobile network toggle. Settings --> System (Interface) --> Notification Drawer --> Widget Buttons --> Toggle Mobile Data.
2. For disabling search bar. Settings --> Launcher (Interface) --> Homescreen --> Search Bar. Disable the option.
3. I do not use any so cant suggest any. Search the play store and internet and any one compatible with Android 4.1.2 should do the job.

[App] Status bar switches for wifi/3g/gps like in CM9

Was looking for a mod, and found that free app from market works just fine.
Widgetsoid
I'm closed to buy the razr i and I already know Widgetsoid.
Mainly problems of that kinds of app is that they are not able to directly toggle the stuff on every ROM: e.g. for example GPS, 3G, some time are only link to correspondent setting page.
What about the RAZR I? Is this app work "well" (no link)? Which ROM you have?
I do not remember if Widgetsoid has the toggle to switch beetween 2g and 3g, if yes is this only a link or a directly toggle?
Every app can toggle Wifi/GPS/3G/etc. if you install them as system apps on a rooted phone (I use Power Toggles)
If you haven't rooted, then you will be directed to the settings page - this is a (new) limitation of Android, not Motorola's or the app's fault.

how would you install widgetsoid as a system app?
Manually move to /system/app or easier with Titanium Backup.

OK, interesting. Tried with Power Toggles, it works for most of the toggles, but unluckily 2G/3G toggle still open the mobile setting. What a pitty, I use this toggle (thanks to CM10) every day
Widgetsoid is explicit in the features list:
2G/3G (Shortcut to mobile settings)
Seems its not possible with widgetsoid, but i still prefer it as i can customise it just how i want.

You're right, sorry for that.
I sticked with the GPS toggle, which works when you put the apps to /system.

[Q] How to change the app shortchuts on lock screen?

Hello,
Flashed the latest JB 4.1.1 onto my phone. There are 3 lockscreen app shortcuts: phone, messages and unlock.
My question is can we change any of the 2 shortcuts besides unlock (ofcourse). For e.g. I would like to have Camera as a shortcut like it was in ICS rather than Messaging shortcut.
I tried searching elsewhere including xda but was unable to find the solution. The only thing I found was it can be done in "Settings --> Security-->Lock Screen Options" present below "Screen Lock". But there seems to be no "Lock Screen Options" present inside Security in MMX A110 JB.
Any help will be appreciated. I don't want to add third party launchers for this.
Thank you.

Those features are available in cm based ROM's only, and some other ROM's but that feature is not available in any of the ROM's for Micromax A110, and there is no other way around than to install a third party locker app, I would recommend the paid app lockerpro,if you do install it set it as default and enable the home button enabler and then go to settings and in security. Select none in screen protection believe me you will feel the difference.
Hit 'thanks' if I helped you.

[Q] Finding the ROM that suits me best

Greetings guys,
I'm about to flash a ROM on my device (nexus 5), but I'm not really into trying every ROM to see what i find the best for me, since i'm not that experienced. I have a couple of need's and would like to ask you guys which ROM have all of the features I am looking for or at least most of them. If for exemple you know a ROM that have almost all of this features and i can have the others by installing an app that needs root, that also works for me.
The features that i'm looking for:
1) change/move quick toggles
2) add quick kill all tabs in the tab button
3) LED colour control depending on the notification
4) change sleep animation
5) change battery and other icons colour/shape
6) Pie control
7) better gallery than stock
8) lockscrean features + see notification
9) Switch between songs with long press volume buttons
10) control brightness by swapping the notification bar
11) active display
12) disable printscreen notification
13) change locking screen animation
14) ok google
15) Power menu
16) quick lunch shortcuts
17) navigation bar options (colour/add more)
18) app opps
19) torch
20) Imersive mode
21) Resize navigation bar
22) Adaway
23) Other usefull tweaks / not battery drainer / Snappy and stable
Like i said before, i'm kind of a newbie around here, so i would be really appreciate if you could help me in this one.
Regards

Will have a look! Any other ROM suggestion guys?
I do not know which ROM you would like the best, but read users' ratings and make your decision then. By the way, the "best roms, apps" threads are not allowed on XDA.

I didn't ask for the best ROM.. I asked for the ROM that has the features I'm looking for.. No need to have that attitude..

You can read users ratings and see video reviews. With this way can take a first look on the ROM. Also, you can see screenshots (if any has been uploaded).

Create your own custom rom is the best way to get all the features you're looking for

You're asking for too much, I think only PacMan is enough since it combine everything. Without active display then Slim Roms may do it for you. AOKP could also do it, it might not have Active Display yet due to being early with KitKat, but will soon. Some other stuff you're asking for does not require custom roms like Okay Google and Adaway. It's not even possible because Google Search is proprietary and can not be added to the rom to be distributed (without GMS licensing).
Most of the things you're asking for could be enabled with Xposed Framework and Gravity Box. I think it's better to learn to implement features you need in various ways instead of looking for a custom rom that have everything you want which never will.

My main suggestions are: SlimKat and CyanogenMod 11.

Slimkat!
Sorry but I closed this thread...no matter how you word it or specific you are, this is still a best ROM thread and these are almost always closed.
Please take a little time to explore the Nexus 5 development sections, there are a lot of cool things to try out and maybe you will find some features you really love that aren't on your list...yet.

Enable screen overlays for ALL impacted applications

Hi there,
I've recently been confronted to an app that required - for its installation - that I disabled screen overlay authorization for all apps. Which I did. I had a nice menu with all the applications requiring this feature that I could untick.
Now that it has been done, I can't figure out how to come back to this menu with the entire list of the applications requiring screen overlay so that I can enable them all.
I understand that I can re enable the feature app by app by going into the authorization settings per app, but I don't remember the entire list of 20 apps requiring the setting to be enabled..
Any solution ?
Hi there,
If you are running an android phone then go to developer option in settings then scroll download you will find an option like disabe hw overlays re enable if already enabled/disabled
Give a Thanks if i helped you!

Fm radio app missing on european version

Hi there,
the fm radio app seems to be missing on the european version.... Is there any chance to get the original app as apk and get it running?
Thanks
You should be able to launch it from the second page of the quick settings toggles
Is there any way we can re order the setting toggles?
Of course. Use pencil icon visible in expanded quick settings
Just in case someone needs the original apk:
- com.asus.fmradio-1.63.0.63_190725.apk (2.3MB)
From WW-16.1220.1909.193 (Android 9). As mentioned above, it can only be controlled via quick settings.
