I've rooted, and unbricked so many devices, but I'm having problems with this one. I successfully rooted the device, but when I tried to Flash 4.2.2, but it didn't work properly. Right now, I can get into the Android system recovery, but the screen the phone normally boots to says the below.
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (s)
10.9B(*) (sha-1e9f557, 2013-02-14 09:13:08)
eMMC Info: Size 16GB
Device is Locked. Status Code:0
Battary Ok
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
usb disconnected
isb connected
for the below steps, I used the apply updaye from external storage option on Android system recovery.
When I try to flash Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip, it Says Installation aborted after verifying update package. The same thing happens when I try to flash Slim-xt926-4.2.2.build.5.6-UNOFFICIAL-20130521-0436.zip
when I try flashing Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip, it says assert failed: file_getprop("/system/build.prop". "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/XT926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.1/9.8.1Q_39/41:user/release-keys" || file_getprop("/system/build.prop". "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/XT926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.1/9.8.1Q-62_VQW_MR-2/6:user/release-keys"
So I can boot into the Android system rocovery, and boot mode selection menu(10.98)
on the boot mode selection menu, the only option that doesnt make my phone go into AP Fastboot Flash Mode, is the recovery option, and when I go into the recovery option, I get the android with the Exclamation mark, from there is how I get to the android system recovery.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I am assuming it will involve ADB, but I cannot do any ADB commands, because my device is not found when I do ADB remount, or ADB devices
You have to unlock your bootloader and install clockwork mod to install custom roms.

Tried to install clockwork mod via Rom Manager, but it was it wasn't available for the droid hd. I had the phone rooted, and had safestrap installed. and I can't unlock the device on the motorola site anymore, because I can't get my phone to boot properly.
Well that's not how to do any of that. Definitely not safestrap. Pretty sure there's a utility in the development section that will do it all for you. I'd tell you the fastboot ways but it's probably over your head.

I've tried the droid razr utility, and that didn't work for me either. Kept getting errors. I'll see what I can do with this toolkit, and let you know how it goes.

I cannot install CWM it says invalid image size for partition recovery. and it still says the device is locked, after I unlocked it.
Are you sure it says status code unlocked? Are you rooted?
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
it says fastboot oem unlock punlock code]
OKAY [.023s]
finished. total time : .026s
*BOOTLOADER UNLOCK*
press any key to continue.
That's what it says after I enter in the unlock code I got from Generating unlock code OEM. I got a really long string of characters for the unlock code, and there are 4 parts seperated by '#' so I tried each part as the code, because I have never done this before, and when I did the whole string, it was a max of 64 characters, so that's why I started trying it by parts seperated by the '#'. and Yes it is rooted, because when I tried to do the root option, it said it was already rooted.
Unlocking your bootloader has nothing to do with entering numbers on your phone. And to check if your unlocked just go to the fastboot screen and see what status code it gives you.

the status code is 0. What option am I supposed to be using? the drivers are up to date, Still can't install recovery, I have root access, didn't touch the install modem (radio).
Does it say device unlocked? Status code 0 is usually locked. 3 Is unlocked.

No, it's still locked, and I don't know how to unlock it from this screen.
You just run the unlock bootloader procedure.

That's what I did. I did option 2, for unlock bootloader, than I get 1. reboot fastboot 2. Generate unlock code OEM 3. login to website to continue with unlocking 4. Unlock using unlock code I did option 2, and got the unlock code, than did option 4, and used the unlock code it generated.

http://www.andromods.com/basic-how-...ootloader-motorola-unlocking-tool-online.html
followed the instructions on that site, and it said "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking."
You can't do it online. You have to do it with the 3rd party tool.

SO What did I do wrong? I generated the unlock OEM code, than I selected the Option to Unlock using unlock code. when I did the generate unlock OEM code, it gave me a long numer like the one on that site, but when I use that number as the unlock code, it says it's to long, and it can be at max 64 characters.
Once again there's no numbers involved man. Your trying to do the official unlock. Use the link I just posted.

Bricked Pixel 2 - locked bootloader & no access to developer options - please help
Hello guys, I just bought myself a Pixel 2 device today and decided to have a go at some changes: I've unlocked my bootloader of my Pixel 2 to perform TWRP flashing & Magisk installation and afterwards I decided to revert to stock.
The first step that I did when trying to revert to stock was to relock the bootloader via adb because I thought (big mistake) this will also revert everything to the factory image. Problem is right now the device isn't booting anymore (so I cannot change anything in developer settings and the bootloader is locked).
Fastboot does work now (I get an "FA8271A02780 fastboot" message when typing fastboot devices) but I cannot flash anything (it always says FAILED: remote Flashing unlock is not allowed.
I tried the Deuces script and UAF but they don't work (because my bootloader is locked). Given that I cannot unlock it, is there any way of flashing the stock image on my device? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Sadly I don't believe so. Google doesn't allow us to flash anything without bootloader being unlocked. Other OEMs either have a program or allow you flash signed roms with a locked bootloader. For the trouble iTunes is at least you flash firmware through in the event of a Brick
Hi, I'm trying to boot into TWRP with out actually flashing it following some threads I have read here the
commands are.
fastboot devices
fastboot boot
This is as far as I can get , I have unlocked the bootloader and have OEM Unlocking checked on, I have the correct TWRP img for the htc x9, htc e56ml tuhl twrp.
1st pic is the fastboot commands and results.
2nd pic is what the phone is doing.
Some help would be appreciated.
Have you installed the Android USB Driver suitable for this Mediatek chip based phone, too?
I have installed it it still doesn't work,
but I can relock and unlock the bootloader so I'm unsure of why the phone isn't booting
Hi, i am loading booting to bootloader from adb with commnad (adb reboot bootloader) this isnt working, only restart its instantly switch to normal os, any ideas ?
Run
Code:
adb reboot

fastboot reboot
oh sorry man, i am idiot, and i am say it wrong.. I trying boot to fastboot but not working instantly switch to os, any ideas please ?
Unlock bootloader if not done yet.
where i unlock bootloader ? In developer settings ? (i have unlocked)
Enabling OEM Unlock in Developer options doesn't unlock the bootlader, it simply prepares the bootloader to get unlocked via fastboot command.

Only I have a small problem I don't unlock my bootloader via fastboot when it doesn't work :/ It immediately jumps to my system when I boot fastboot, even with a command like ,,adb reboot fastboot"

I have new thread, where i am writing all info :/ https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/zte-blade-a7-2019-fastboot-mode-missing.4462035/
I don't know if you are still interested in accessing Fastboot but you can access it using a specific firmware version.
Still, let me tell you that unlocking the bootloader is virtually impossible. Since the well-known generic method doesn't work for the SoC SC9863A, you need to have a special Fastboot's program version and a dedicated private key that only they provide.... and I emphasize the word "dedicated" since apparently ZTE did not use a generic key to sign their ROMS. At least on this device.
Unless they decide to release the key or give support to unlocking the bootloader, all we can do is wait for them to change their minds. Because they don't want to provide it. I know because I tried to order it several times.
