Ladies and gentlemen!
Otterbox for now is refusing to release a case for our phone.
Let us all let them know that there are a lot of us!
Here is their twitter account:
https://twitter.com/OtterBox
Who said Otterbox is refusing? I just got an email reply from them last night saying it's in design production.
We are currently working on a case for this device but do not have an ETA at this time. We recommend keeping an eye on our website or Facebook page where we will be sure to post more information as soon as it is available. You can also sign up for our email notification to be among the first to know when it becomes available.
Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions.

I posted on their FB wall, and here is the response I just got:
So sorry about that they were probably confused with the Nexus 7. We don't have any plans for the 4 but we will definitely keep you posted if anything comes up.

Not looking good...
But Seidio is making cases for the N4, which are similar to the Otterbox line. I will try those out as soon as they are released.
@op I deleted your thread in general.
Please do not create duplicate threads about the same thing.
Carry on
Seido cases are much better

Judging by the staggering idiocy of following Apples idea of putting glass on the back of the phone, I'd be more concerned about if/when Tech21 are bringing out a D30 case for the N4

Don't know why we have to convince a company to make money. Those geniuses should have had the business sense to know it would be a hit and have had cases out DAY ONE. They would have banked hard considering the complete lack of competition.

Yeah buddy!!! I know they might seem a little unnecessary, but I need one as much as I tend to drop things.
Here is a link to their website if you wanna try it out.

Looks pretty cool. But without a case and you're prone to dropping it. What's to prevent that when pulling your phone out of your pocket?

never seen or heard of them until now... cool idea... I imagine it would not attach to an Otterbox case, I have to use one of these because of the harsh conditions at my work. I have dropped my phone from two stories with an Otterbox case and the phone is still working without a scratch! And the Otterbox case makes this already quite large phone HUGE... making it less susceptible to dropping.
My wife might like one of these... thanks for sharing!!!
...man... why didn't I think of something like this...
This actually does seem really useful, I know I drop my phone the most when it is in use too. Can give you a much better grip for one-handed text messaging.

If you haven't seen their cases before they make one of the most unique looking cases out there. Everyone I know that buys one raves on the quality and how good the phone/case feels in your hand. I sent them an email as well as a tweet on Twitter about making a case for the Nexus 4, anyone interested is encouraged to do the same to hopefully get this off the ground.

Great thought. This is the response I got from them when I asked a few weeks ago on 16 Nov:
"Thank you for your interest in URBAN ARMOR GEAR products. This is a terrific suggestion.* No plans currently; however, the landscape of our product road is a constantly evolving picture and this offering may become an option for us in the future.
Check in frequently on our facebook page to hear first about new product offerings.

It would be great if they did make a case!

I am the OP of the UAG case on the Galaxy S3 forums. I switched from my GS3 back to my Galaxy Nexus and now have the Nexus 4. Let's get everyone to vote for the Nexus 4 so we can get the best case available for our Nexus 4 too.
If anyone wants to know how this case is please visit the forum link below for feedback and pics of what it looks like on the GS3. This is seriously the best case available if you want awesome looks with great protection. And don't forget to vote for the Nexus 4 on UAG's site.

I just sent one as well.
I'm hoping we'll soon have other choices besides skins & bumpers because i'm a clumsy bas***d!
Voted for the nexus 4. This should be made popular, people.
The case looks pretty gangster.
I voted for Nexus 4, belt case/holster, and olive drab. I was stuck between the emergency green and OD, as I love black and neon green, but my gut told me to go with OD. Not sure I'm brave enough to use the emergency green lol.
Added the link for the Voting pole to the original post.
Keep reminding them via email, Twitter and Facebook as well.
It's a really good looking case. I hope they start making it for the Nexus 4
Voted 4 times.
I'll use the computers at work to vote tomorrow.
That should bump the vote up by a few hundred.
Sweet
This is an awesome case! voted already! i'll over night this puppy if they make it available for the N4!

this would be cool, but damn does that thing look ugly! looks cheaply made for $100.
5000mah is way too overkill for a extended battery case, that thing looks like a paving brick and probably weight as much. 1500 to 2500mah would be more than enough to keep size and price down.
Holy guacamole that's big.
Wow that is one big case. The ugly factor will keep me away from this thing.

Thats a lot of speculative reading but there were a couple of people that did it but only a couole of the dozen or so threads I read. But I would still like to know if anyone here has done it. I don't have all day to read through thread after thread to find a couple experiences. I just wanted to know if anyone here has done it, if its worth it.. I was hoping for more responses with helpful experiences but it doesn't seem like too many people have actually had this done.

Well they don't pen it they put it in a vacuum and release a fog of sorts thats goes all through the phone. I ordered an obex case but saw this in an article a couole hrs after I ordered the case. Figured I would see if it would be a better idea instead of a case. Wouldn't have to worry about a crappy screen protector.. and Im not fond of the idea of shipping it out either.

You're better off with the case in my opinion. And you can check YouTube for some videos of people who have done this service. Ranging from your average person to reviewers.

That's what I thought, but I wanted to make that statement in this forum so others could see that it was okay to post on their new skins. I love the company and will miss FemBots contributions, but I see why, totally.
I got my mahogany skins this weekend and am very happy with the looks of them. I'd recommend them for sure.
That thread was live for so long, and they only now decided to close it? lol
Yeah, I don't get the mods sometimes It's not like the bots were spamming every single thread. They had one of their own and that too started not by them but one of the guys here. I don't see what's wrong in a accessory company representative being active in the accessories section. It's like closing the N4 forums if someone from LG were active here.
That's what sux about xda... Instead of moderating the thread... Which had great info and great community, they just deleted it... Thread wasn't started by dbrand , they were supporting their product. With helpful info and customer relations... Dbrand just showed up and actually participated... Was no different than the 15 other threads under accessories that showcase the accessories

I myself enjoyed the feedback from the company as most times, we buy stuff from some company and never ever interact with them. This company gave us a face/image to interact with and was by far the coolest I've ever seen. They also gave us sneakpeaks at stuff coming up which gave, in my opinion, an exclusivity to XDA. Alas, we move on.
Why and I was about to show people my new skin when I got it.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
Really? They closed it just because Dbrand had an account and posted replys to people in the thread? Sigh. XDA, you're going downhill fast.
Anyway, to the point, I love Dbrand skins. They're a great value, look great, and last a super long time.

Sometimes I wonder about moderators decisions.

I see no reason we still can't brag about our purchases. We're not working for dbrand, thus not selling them. We're just sharing what we have on our phones. It's no different than posting a screenpic of you phone, or pics taken with your N4. So, I say, let the pic posting begin.:good:
I feel bad for the dude, sorry, forgot your name, that got the infraction for starting the post. Hope that won't be me

There seems to be no consistency with what the mods will and won't delete, just seems like an off day. And even so, deleting the whole thread is like cutting your hair with a lawnmower. Totally unnecessary. I know nothing I say will change it or bring the thread back, but I think it's reasonable to voice an opinion.
That thread bought value to users as well as dBrand, I don't understand how negative an impact the mods saw from it, but it must have been significantly more than I did.
