Hello, has anyone been able to (or tried) to pull the Kindle FreeTime app from a newer generation kindle and install it on the first gen kindle? I'd really like this app for my kids but the Kindle I have is first gen (got it for a steal so couldn't pass it up). Thanks!
This would be great, just got my kids the kindle fire and would like to lock it down

I wanted the same thing but obviously couldn't either... there is a far less luxurious option called Kids Place... Locks into a certain screen option that you fill with apps you want.... Needless to say my daughter hates my kindle and loves my wife's...

Ok.. so right now gameloft is offering games for 99 cents. The only way to get this deal is by following this link.
I guess I can't post the link.. head over to droid life to find the link...
However, you can only do this on your device. When I click on the link from my transformer it my device is not compatible with any games. How can I make GameLoft think I have a Xoom or something like that?
I have tried changing the device type but I loose the special pricing.
Any ideas?
Yea i done this and got asphalt6 cant get it to work again (trik site)

Ok, great! So how does one trick the site from your tablet?
Gameloft for Android devices is so frustrating. I WANT to give them my money, but there are so many issues with purchasing and using their games on android devices. When they had a sale on ipad games the other day, I picked up a whole bunch because I knew there wouldn't be any problems.

Yeah it is kind of irritating for me as well. I have a the Transformer and I have a captivate (running cyanogenmod 7) and I can't download anything from their mobile store to get the .99 games they were offering.
Seriously frustrating. I want to spend money with them but can't. I have a tablet and a phone that both have virtually the same hardware and os as other phone/tablets that can be used to purchase and download games. What is the deal with that?
Look on the XDA Nook Color - Apps forum (Gameloft). There's a post on how to configure to buy on Gameloft.
It seems that you can choose India / Other telco and select Acer Iconia A500 and it will let you download games for your TF.
Asphalt 6HD works, Starfront Collision does not. Its a mixed bag at best.
Gameloft should get smart and get these on the Google Market. They'd make some SERIOUS money. I think they're telco agreements are locking them out for now.
Is there any non-Honeycomb tablet out there that has had this hacked onto it someway? I'm specifically trying to find out for the Amazon Kindle Fire. It works great on there but it takes up pretty much half of the 1024x600 display.
I'm guessing that Swype is popular enough and there are enough Android 2.3 tablets out there that someone has asked this.
Would like this too

I just want to say that the app AIDE works beautifully on the Kindle Fire! Its super smooth, dexing is fast, and its perfect for the on the go dev. Never heard of AIDE? Well, simply, Android IDE (AIDE) is an app that lets you create basic apps and widgets. Its based on Eclipse, and it just works.
Here is the APK:

I really like it because I'm kind of a novice in Java, so I really like to improve my skills when I'm away from my computer (most of the time)

very cool indeed.
Exactly what I have been looking for. I need to learn Java, now I can while taking the lightrail on my way to work...
link's dead
Has any KF users bought any games in the sale? If so, which one? I bought Doubletwist Alarm, FIFA 12, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Mini Motor Racing, and OfficeSuite Pro.
If only Google accepted PayPal. Yet another thing I'll miss out o :banghead:

I also bought double twist alarm (for my evo actually) but for my kindle fire I got mamc (monsters ate my condo) which I highly recommend because it is insane! Literally! Lol
I bought adrenalin asphalt 7 the othe day, don't waste your time for the kindle because all it would do is loop the gameloft logo and not play. Plus it's huge, like 1.4 GB almost. I guess the 15min refund time must start after the download because that took forever and after I discovered it wouldn't play I was still able to get my quarter back
